I do not recommend and will not return

Review by zdzisio2002 Wick, United Kingdom

This was the worst hotel I have stayed in. When eating there read the reviews, they are all true. Especially the bad ones...

First check-in at the hotel is 23.30. After traveling all day, you get a map and you have to find a room yourself. Finally, the lady from the reception (thanks Aga) helped us. The hotel is located on the slope of the mountain so you keep walking up or down all the time. In fact, there is only one bar in operation, in the daytime by the pool and in the evening in the hotel lobby. For example returning from the beach or excursions you can't get a cold drink in the air-conditioned lounge but you have to go to the pool bar. You cannot play the ball with your child in the pool. The lifeguard (the older one) talked on the phone for 1.5 hours. Food is not bad, but hot meals do not count. The lady at the front desk was unable to give me information on how to get to Oasis Park. It wasn't until the nearby shopping center at the tourist information office that I got the information I needed. The hotel day ends at 12 so you have to leave the room. Logic. If you have a transfer to the airport in the evening there is no possibility to refresh yourself before the trip. After 12.00 you can no longer use the bar and snacks. We bought a room until 15.00 with lunch for 45 euros the day earlier, but on the last day after 12.00 we couldn't get to the room because the electronic locks were blocked. After visiting the reception, we got an additional key. During lunch, it turned out that we still have to pay extra 4 euros for two glasses of cola. Many employees work very well, but it is bad management decisions that cause them to give a bad opinion. I was checked in half a day later and I was out of the hotel for three days. They would not lose on this last day lunch and the last day of vacation would be better. I do not recommend and will not return to this hotel.

Good value for money

Review by Ben S Leeds, United Kingdom

We went into this holiday with an open mind after reading some of the reviews. My main concern was the cold food reviews which I can confirm are absolutely right. The only let down I have is this matter and it really needs to be addressed...

People do not want to eat cold food, but it wasn’t just one thing it was everything. I have never experienced an all inclusive hotel with such poor option food choice and poor quality to say this is a 4 star hotel.

However, for the value of money and what we paid for an all inclusive holiday there were so many positives such as the hotel been kept extremely clean, love the refurbished decor and the spaciousness however my only criticism is that both bars should be open through the day. Only the pool bar was open and then in the evening the lobby bar however, again considering this is a 4* hotel both bars should remain open to host for everyone. Great selection of drinks and certainly generous on serving sizes.

I really liked that the pool area opened at 10am so that people cannot reserve sun beds as this is always a real pain when going on holiday. We never struggled to get a sun bed at any time of the day. Also the pool bar food was changed often and a nice selection of burgers, chips, olives, cheese, meats and desserts and in addition ice cream.

The main lobby bar at night was crammed and lots of queuing for the bar which goes back to my point of having both bars open and even doing some entertainment around the pool on an evening. Some of the entertainment was lovely such as a jazz artist and a female singer who sang some classics.

When we walked out of the hotel and turned left we were not impressed with the area as looks very run down. However, on the next day turned right and walked down to the beach. If you keep walking right you will find a small town with some little hidden gem restaurants and nice bars overlooking probably the best beach I have ever seen. What I liked about this area was the fact it was never overly busy and was just a nice chilled atmosphere.

Overall we had a very wholesome holiday and made the most of it regardless of the food, we ate out most nights due to this which was disappointing however was a nice experience to see what was in the area and very cheap food and drinks.

My only last criticism is that some staff were very straight faced and moody and didn’t really look like they wanted to be there which was a real shock. However there were equally some nice smiley faces.

I would go here again based on the value for money and just eat out in the Morro Jable area. Thank you for our time overall and for our first special holiday following the pandemic.

Spotless hotel, good really needs improving.

We have stayed here before the refurbishment so it was nice to see everything updated. The hotel was spotless, very very clean! Room was lovely too. wWe didn’t opt for a sea view but ended up in room P203 and it was lovely...

The beach is literally 2 minutes away with plenty of shops and restaurants around.

Food I’ve seen from reviews has had mixed responses and I thought people were just expecting too much from an all inclusive but we aren’t fussy eaters and we really struggled. The only thing meat wise that was okay was when they did kfc style chicken but whenever we tried pork or veal it just was not nice at all tough or fatty. Most days/nights we were very restricted. Chips, bread, maybe salad and rice. Breakfast was also a carb fest, as brits we know how we like our bacon and we thought it looked promising but it was cooked on top but very underdone underneath so that was a no. And like all the other reviews you won’t get piping hot food.

One other thing to note is seating is limited on an evening in reception whenever there is entertainment.

Finally, one thing I really don’t agree with is when you check out at 12 your band gets cut off so can’t eat or drink. Our flight didn’t land till 9pm so didn’t get to the hotel till 10:30pm ish, so we didn’t get use of all inclusive the day of arrival so then to only get breakfast on the day you leave is a bit rubbish as we basically lost a whole day. This definitely should be changed to include lunch.

Wonderful short holiday

Review by lalaa84 The Hague, The Netherlands

We stayed at Sol Fuerte with our 2 girls and we loved the hotel, it was clean, and cozy (not massive) the best part of it all was Juan the entertainer and the mini club. They entertained the kids with simple things and it was wonderful! The pool was not big but it wasnt very crowded so we had all the space. The food was good though could have done better on variety and taste...

The rooms were clean and got cleaned every day however we did not get new towels until we asked for it.
