It's all about indulgence and relaxation at the 4 star all inclusive hotel Tabaiba Princess. The recently renovated resort is nestled in a tropical garden and is only a few minutes away from the famous dunes of Maspalomas. Adults may look forward to the following amenities: • Chill-Out area with private pool bar, counter-current pool and Bali beds • Spa with wellness pool, saunas, steam bath and salt cabin • Gym with state of the art equipment • Tropical main pool area with 4 pools, one with a man-made beach • 5 buffet restaurants (incl. 2 specialty restaurants) • Free Wi-Fi Highlights for children include: • Serengeti-themed water park with slides and splash area • Two children's pools (heated in winter) • Kids Club with Mini-Hotel and playground
I booked this holiday based on the 5* star platinum experience TUI was offering and was far beyond what I got. The only two positivities I can give about this hotel is the cleanliness of the communal areas & the aesthetics of the hotel, unfourtantly I can’t give any more positives.
Cons:
Overall I’m extremely disappointed with my stay here, considering you save up and pay thousands of pounds to stay in a more ‘luxury’ resort it’s not the experience I got, I’ve stayed in many 3/4* hotels across the Canaries and had a much better experience, I definitely won’t be returning to this hotel, feel more stressed being here than I did before I came.
We stayed for 11 nights in Princess Tabaiba and have got to say how disappointed and let down i felt with the rooms, especially as we also paid extra to upgrade to a junior suite.
We stayed in our first room of 0268 which on the front of it is a lovely looking clean room, however we were horrified by the amount of mould found on the walls (see in photos), this was an alarming concern, especially as i have asthma. I complained to reception who sent a maintenance man out to have a look, he confirmed it was mould, which he cleaned as we were in the room with a very strong smelling chemical, and which made my chest worse meaning i had to spend the evening out of my room to wait for the smell to disappear, this cleared most of the mould but not all of it, which the maintenance said that’s the best he could do. I then re complained to reception who then offered me another room (i believe it was 0272) to my horror and shock this room had the same mould problem, but worse than my previous room (see in photos) so i chose to stay in original room. I can’t believe that this is an acceptable state to leave a room in and allow guests to stay knowing it could potentially cause health issues. I re complained to reception and this time they said i need to talk to customer relations (who was very lovely and helpful) she then offered me a third room, which she checked with me and this seemed acceptable, but at this point it had been a really stressful start to my holiday and now i had to move all of our stuff to a new room. Although this new room (0274) was acceptable the air con was terrible and did not work properly and struggled to sleep due to the lack of cool air being produced (the other rooms air con was also not great, but the new room was worst of the three) i then complained again about the air con in the new room which they said they would send a maintenance out. I asked for an update 4 times over 4 days as they had still not been and reception kept saying they will be there soon. Maintenance did not ever come and the air con never got better, which then meant after all the stress with the mould rooms i could not sleep in the new room due to the air con. I feel from a health perspective this is disgusting and should not ever of been allowed to happen. We were offered no form of compensation! We will not be staying here again (which is a shame as we enjoyed our first time here some years ago)
We stayed for 10 nights with a large group of family, had a wonderful time. After reading previous reviews I was a little worried before arriving but need not have. Staff are so helpful and friendly, very clear how hard everyone works to keep things moving and keep the hotel clean. Rooms were nice and spacious, cleaned every day and sheets changed whenever you want them. Air con was poor in our room but other family members it was better. Entertainment team were good , we really enjoyed the Michael Jackson show, also enjoyed the entertainment in the bar in the evenings. Drinks were good, pre-made cocktails were a little sweet for me but beer and spirits were good. Food was delicious, Mexican night was great, lots of options every night for all tastes. We would definitely return, overall a great stay.
No aircon in reception No aircon at food market No aircon in rooms No aircon in shops
If you cannot cope with any amounts of heat and want to sleep a full night do not bother to book here.
Aircon meant to be full, rented a fan. And bottles of water left out had condensation when we woke up.
Couple nights here at the Tabaiba and have booked somewhere more money and more stress during the first few days here when it should be spent relaxing.
Staff at front door say it’s due to heatwave but stayed in another princess hotel whilst it was hotter than this and was absolutely fine. Women at front desk said she’s worked there for 20 years and it’s the first time she’s had aircon (installed a couple weeks ago) if that’s not a red flag I don’t know what is.
Gains points for food being enjoyable for all inclusive. however feel like the aircon was falsely advertised and will never be refunded for the hassle
My husband and I stayed here for a week. It's a wonderful hotel in terms of design and spaciousness. The food is delicious, activites led by animators and evening shows on a top level!!! The art and wine classes are a great way to spend some time creatively, Michael Jackson show - excellent 👍🏻
