Location good.
Only used pool early doors for swim and spent rest of the time on the terrace of our Premium one bedroom apartment.
View from main pool and bar area nice. Didn't use bar or eat.
Check in was good.
Apartment was fine and well laid out. Two beds, comfy chairs and dining table on the terrace. Dining table in kitchen. Bed settee in living room. Large TV, no remote, had BBC1/2 on. Small hob, microwave, small fridge freezer.
Apart from occasional hiccup, wi-fi worked well.
Apartment faced straight out onto the road which was fine and not too busy. Lacked a bit of privacy.
Two biggest problems were the very noisy and dusty building work across the road (see photo). No getting away from it if you want to be at your apartment. Also what I think was a cricket somewhere in the apartment at night. I can sleep but it was so loud and echoing it woke me at least a couple of times a night. You really had to be there but it was bad.
Great little supermarket on site. Big supermarket 10 minutes walk. Water cheap enough on site.
Had to asked for our included coffee pod machine.
Shower very powerful.
Good mix of sun and shade on terrace as we each like one.
Large safe deposit box 2 euros per day.
I’m going 4 stars by recognising our cricket and the building work won’t affect everyone.
This was booked as part of a Jet2 package holiday, self catering so can't comment on food and drinks. We landed very lucky with the room (3201); a corner plot, big back patio area, with seats, sofas, loungers, clothes dryer. Front patio with seats and table looking straight out onto the pool. The apartment was big spotless and even came with some coffee for the machine and a small welcome bottle of cava. The bed was super comfy and the secondary pillow (long one) was a god send, because the other pillow is just the biggest fattest pillow I've ever seen. We were also lucky because we were able to extend our check out to 6pm for €25, which was perfect because typically our flight back is at night. The cleaning staff work hard, and I noted pool cleaners every morning. We're here in off season and it's very quiet, very few loungers used, so we never had a problem using two directly outside our room. The space we had borders on the most we've had and certainly surpasses some pricier hotels we've stayed at. The gym was clean and air-conditioned. Didn't use any other facilities. The staff were polite, but I wouldn't say overly friendly. I don't know if it's because it's off season but the on-site shop is only open till 14:00hrs. Evening opening times would be nice for a snack or emergency water, but then it's so quiet, it's probably not business savvy to keep it open. We bought cleaning sponges and washing up liquid on our first day, only to be provided them by the cleaners later that day lol. Beware it's a good 20/25 mins jaunt to the beach (Maspalomas), and 1.6km walk to Faro de Maspalomas (bus station)..there is also taxis that can be booked from reception. It's about 10/15 mins walk to the large Mercado shop. All in all a lovely, relaxing stay that certainly got our steps in.
2nd visit here. Very disappointed with the lack of evening entertainment. Only 2 nights out of 7. Was there in March and entertainment was very good which is one of the reasons we rebooked
The service has deteriorated significantly since we stayed here last year. The receptionist was rude, unhelpful & had no customer service skills whatsoever. He is most definitely in the wrong job! We have stayed here four times and whilst the accommodation is basic, we felt the staff were welcoming & accommodating & we always got a room in a decent location. In previous years we emailed a few months in advance to request a particular room which had some privacy and our request was always accommodated. We did the same this year but our email was ignored. I emailed a second time and that was ignored. When we arrived the receptionist denied all knowledge of my emails but then found them in the system & said they were nothing to do with him as he wasn’t here in March, albeit he was here when I sent the second email. Our request couldn’t be accommodated & we’ve ended up in a tiny room with no privacy & paper thin walls as we can hear water flowing loudly from upstairs. When we asked to be moved because of the size of the room & location the receptionist told us all the rooms are the same size which is a lie. He told us he couldn’t help us, he was really busy & then basically ignored us. When we asked when the manager would be in he didn’t know as it’s a holiday weekend. When we asked how to complain he pointed us to a QR code on a wall which took us to a page in Spanish. When we pointed this out to him he shrugged and said he couldn’t help. It was like night and day from the staff who have worked here in previous years. I’m now wishing I was staying somewhere else. It will be a long 7 days & I will return to Meloneras but will never stay here again
I booked a last minute Easter holiday here for my son and I. After reading some of the reviews I was a little sceptical of what I had booked, but we had a really enjoyable time. We booked a superior double room and had a great room upstairs over looking the larger pool. 2 great sun loungers on the balcony, alongside a table and 2 chairs which got the sun all day. The room was comfortable and whilst basic, was very clean and had better facilities than some 4* plus accomodations. Our room had a large fridge, kettle and a dolce gusto machine. There was also water and cava in the room on arrival too. All of the swimming pools are heated which is a rare find and there was no sun bed wars despite it being school holidays with an abundance of available sunbeds and on many occasions we had the swimming pool to ourselves! We stayed bed and breakfast and were pleased with the selection, whilst not extensive there was always something to have and every day I was able to get a freshly made omlette. We found the location to be excellent, less than 10 minute walk to Meloneras beach and commercial centre, where we enjoyed a couple of meals at La Ruta and Ciao Ciao and around 15 minutes walk the other way to the lighthouse and the many restaurants and shops and also the start of the sand dunes. I had hired a car from the airport with plus car who were very reasonably priced and there is plenty of parking outside the accomodation. We found all of the staff on reception to be lovely and very helpful. We also visited taste pool bar most nights and again service was great. All in all we had a great stay and we would not hesitate to return!
