H10 Playa Meloneras Palace

First of all, our holiday was amazing, but it fell just short of being perfect. The hotel is almost perfect and the staff are exceptional. I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you book here.

One thing spoiled it for us, which links to the next.... Our family always travels B&B as we enjoy exploring and different dining experiences in the evening. What I have never in my life experiences at a hotel is the complete lack of ability to order lunch time food around the pool bar. Even now sat at my desk at work I still can't fathom why 5 star hotel wouldn't offer food. It does, but inexplicably during the hours of 16:30 to 18:30 only!? By which time you don't to eat as it's too close to evening meal. That does for all inclusive too from what I could see, they only had the option of a meal in the restaurant or in the dining area indoors. Who on holiday doesn't occasionally want a few fries or a burger perhaps for lunch around the pool!?

That led to explore the local vicinity to try to walk out to get food each day. Fortunately, there is small bar opposite called Bar Jerics which is great! Unfortunately, aside from a few nice bars and restaurant the complex opposite it is is a ghost town and resembles the set off a Call of Duty platform!

Our rooms 548 and 549 felt a little pushed in a corner (perhaps a consequence of booking through Jet2) but were well presented and kept very clean.

Everything else was fabulous, bar prices were quite reasonable for B&B paying guests. Special shout out to the attention to detail dealing with people with Gluten Allergies. My daughter was exceptionally well catered for at breakfast and the food was kept very safe. She had zero side effects the entire time despite being very sensitive.

The area is a good walk into Meloneras centre so we typically used a taxi (circa 4 euros). They were plentiful and we rarely had to wait at all at any time of the day.

Meloneras itself is fabulous and has somehting for everyone from your everyday holiday shops to high end stores. Every restaurant you could wish for and never in my life have I been so consistently impressed by the exceptional staff and food at all 10 restaurants we dined at.

We will be back to Meloneras without hesitation, however, the slightly isolated location of H10, the rapid decline of the shopping centre opposite and the fact you can't get lunch at the hotel will sadly mean we will be looking elsewhere in the resort.

All that said, thank you for a lovely holiday and the staff are what make this hotel what it is.

An excellent hotel which was difficult to fault. This was our second visit and we enjoyed every minute from the restaurant, bars, pools and rooms. The staff are hard working, friendly and helpful and the food is good. There was never a problem finding sunbeds (despite being peak season) and we were very pleased to see hotel staff removing towels from reserved sun beds (of which there were few). Although the food was not labelled with allergens (something that could be addressed) the chefs were always helpful identifying dishes unsuitable for my coeliac wife. They would frequently prepare gluten free food when required e.g. pizzas, chips, pasta and deserts. This is an excellent hotel in all respects.
