Very noisy at the weekends.

We have stayed at this hotel before and really enjoyed it, there are a lot of very positive things to say about this hotel and the staff but unfortunately there is one major drawback that will stop us from returning.

On Friday and Saturday nights there is an open air drum and bass venue very close but outside of the hotel. The noise is unbearable...

I have reported this to reception and was told they are very aware of this problem as there have been a lot of complaints from hotel guests. I was told the it has been reported to the police but the hotel is powerless to stop this.

Sadly this will be our last visit to this hotel. Please be warned if you are planning a peaceful holiday and hoping to get to sleep before midnight look elsewhere.

Great service and staff

Review by kelwez Bedfordshire, United Kingdom

We stayed for 7 nights from 14th December. We booked a privilege room on an all inclusive basis. The hotel was a lot larger than we expected and was at 85% capacity, but it didn’t feel overly crowded/busy at any point...

We were allocated room 762 on the 7th floor (highest floor), the room was nice, the only downside for us is that they push 2 single beds together. They are individually made up, so they don’t try and make the singles work as a double which was disappointing. The room was very clean, the only issue we had was that the wardrobe door fell off, it was difficult to move and then crash, glass everywhere. They came quickly to remove the door and clean up the glass and later came back with a replacement door. As it was a privilege room there were 2 pool towels and bath robes in the room. There is a mini bar that gets replaced but the only alcohol is 2 beers, the rest are soft drinks. There is an app to use to book the restaurants and view the menus, as we could use the a la carte restaurant’s we only used the buffet for dinner on the first night. As I have dietary requirements I was disappointed that there was no labelling on the food so it made it difficult to guess what was suitable. The service and food in the a la carte was really good, they accommodated my dietary requirements. Nicoletta in Gaudi was superb and even had the chef make me a special starter that I could eat on our last night. Privilege has a separate pool area where there are really nice sun beds to use, a water and champagne station. However the area is not monitored so we did see non privilege guests use the area. The privilege area is down by the main pool and not the infinity pool, the main pool is not heated and was very cold, the infinity pool (is not adults only as we thought) is slightly warmer but I would not class it as heated. The drinks were branded (Hendricks/Tanqueray etc). The live music in the lobby bar was nice to listen too, the cabaret shows down stairs were not our thing. This is the 2nd time we have used H10 hotels and we are now a brand fan as the service has always been exceptional.

Location is super

Review by miriamzeevenhooven The Hague, The Netherlands

This hotel is situated in a bay, so on your balconny there is no wind. That is a big adventage. Big disadventage is that there is a disco on the beach with very loud music every weekend until late at night, so you have to sleep with doors closed. Other point is dat de bathrooms need an upgrade...

Taking a shower in the bath tub is dangerous for older people.

Excellent place to stay

Review by James F Jersey, United Kingdom

Stayed here for 7 nights and had a really good stay. We went all inclusive for the first time and the food was excellent throughout with different options put on each evening. The drink options were also very good...

The infinity pool had a fantastic view over the ocean and was nicely heated. The rooms although a touch old had plenty of space and a great balcony. I think one of the best parts about this hotel is the staff. They were so friendly and nothing was a hassle for them. The service in the evenings was fantastic. (Special mention to Jose who was a great character and very good at his job especially spinning the tray on his finger). The location of this hotel is also very good as it is a bit out of the way of the other busy touristy hotels. I would recommend this as a place to stay if you are looking for somewhere in meloneros

Wonderful relaxing holiday!

We spent 9 nights at H10 Playa Meloneras Palace over Christmas with our 17 year old son and had such a brilliant time we can't wait to go back!

We arrived a bit later than expected at the hotel due to flight delays so we were tired but we had such a lovely welcome from the gentleman at reception who checked us in quickly and also offered us a welcome drink.

We had a garden view room, 525. Lovely views of the pool/garden area with a really large, very private balcony. The room itself was roomy, we had a double bed and our son was on the sofa bed...

There was plenty of room despite a 3rd bed. Lots of wardrobe space, plenty of hangers, a free safe, complimentary slippers, 3 bathrobes for us to use, lots of nice complimentary toiletries and a box with handy things in like travel tissues, spare toothbrush, sewing kit etc. We knew prior to the trip that there wasn't a kettle in the room so we bought our own teabags & coffee and just asked reception (on check-in) if we could have a kettle. This was bought to the room promptly. There was also a mini bar although we never actually used this.

We were on half board but never ate the evening meal at the hotel. Instead the days we were around we swopped our evening meal for lunch. This was never a problem at all, the staff just made a note you wanted to change.

Breakfasts and lunch were amazing, always plenty to choose from and all beautifully presented. You were really spoilt for choice. Christmas Day lunch was served outside one of the poolside restaurants and this was a buffet/BBQ. This was a lovely change and we enjoyed eating at a different venue.

Some nights we had drinks/coffee at the piano bar near reception. Staff were always really attentive and served prompty. The pianist was also a nice touch!

We never struggled at all to find sunbeds around the pools, there were always plenty around. If we went to lunch we would just mention to the lifeguard that we were coming back after and it wasn't a problem, our things would always be where we left them. There was a nice atmosphere round the pool, the lifeguard would always be busy, either cleaning or helping guests and at other times there would be aqua aerobics or poolside yoga. The staff really want to engage with guests and are committed to ensuring you have a good time which is nice. We tended to swim in the infinity pool as this seemed a little warmer than the waterfall/olympic pool but none of the pools were too cold to swim in and on hot days it was refreshing.

We found the staff to be such an asset to the hotel. Everyone we met was welcoming, greeting us with a good morning/good afternoon. There was such a high level of cleanliness, staff constantly cleaning public areas all the time, even from the early hours (I would be up at 7am to go swimming and even then they would be cleaning) They also all genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs and take pride in their work. It's obviously a great place to work!

Guest services were a great help when we needed to print out passenger locator forms and boarding passes, nothing was a problem. We also booked our pre-flight lateral flow tests through the hotel. A Doctor came on the Thursday and we were able to get tested at the hotel which was so convenient. When there was a slight delay getting the results back reception was straight onto it and sorted out the problem for us. We felt that any problem could be sorted out very efficiently.

Other nice touches were the nightly chocolates delivered to our room, always with a smile!

The spa area looked really nice and there are a couple of shops next to it, one selling beachwear and clothes and the others selling souveniers, refreshments, sports wear.

There is nightly entertainment which really looked fun and the hotel obviously makes the effort to vary it. Everynight there was something different on.

We found the location absolutely perfect for walking into the centre of town along the promenade. We preferred being away from the centre as it's quieter and also enjoyed the 15 minute walk in at night. You could never tire of the views, such beautiful sunsets!

At the end of our stay we really didn't want to leave, we had enjoyed our stay so much. It was the perfect antidote to a stressful autumn/winter and we felt very safe and looked after at Playa Meloneras Palace. It's a beautiful hotel, designed thoughtfully and you cannot help being relaxed. It was so nice to visit at Christmas and see all the beautiful decorations and be a part of all the fun. It made us forget about life back home and we were just able to enjoy our holiday.

Can't wait to go back, hopefully soon!
