The hotel includes a total of 561 rooms, 521 of which are double rooms and five of which are adapted for guests with limited mobility. The hotel also offers 40 suites. Lopesan Villa del Conde Resort has four fantastic restaurants offering dishes of an excellent and exclusive cuisine. Great stay at this hotel, we wanted a fairly cheap stay and this was absolutely perfect, did not feel 'cheap' at all!
We were half board. Food is lovely, food and drinks around the pool are reasonably priced, I.E 7 euro for a cocktail, 2 euro for a latte, etc. The INCLUDED ala carte restaurants are very nice, the atmosphere in OVO was a bit quiet (us the only table) but other than that was very nice...
Service was very good throughout the hotel.
One thing that really did annoy me was having to pay for water if you want it in your room, I feel water should be given for free at any 5 star hotel. Any 5 star hotel I've been to, they replace it everyday FOC. The room temp low of 22 degrees is quite frustrating especially when you want to cool down after being out in the heat. Finally, there seems to be a lot of noise come through from other rooms (above particularly), when the maids come early approx 7/8am and drag about the furniture around it is quite annoying, but they have a job to do.
I think Lopesan need to review the water allowance, and also give slightly more flexibility with the a/c. I understand it is more sustainable, and uses less energy, less CO2. But ultimately, its a 5 star hotel.
Overall, amazing stay for the money, close to restaurants down by the beach which we ate at plenty, we were half board and only had the buffet twice. Buffet food was good quality.
For the fourth time we visited this beautiful hotel on Gran Canaria.
How we missed the warm entree, with the high ceilings and the big chandeliers.
Due to Covid-19 rules, the reception was less occupied, and certain areas were blocked, but still we had a warm welcome at the hotel...
Also due to the new situation the hotel uses now an app. With this app you are able to book diner at the specialty restaurants or sessions at spa without having to contact the reception. The downfall ofcourse is ess social small talk and the contact with all the nice staff. One thing that isn’t arranged by app at scan is your health documentation or your QR code. Please make sure you have a printed (!) version available for the reception.
The gardens and premises look beautiful and well kept. We didn’t expect anything else.
There were less sun beds and they were situated in small groups to accommodate the 1,5 distance rule. The loungers, tables and chairs were cleaned on a regular basis during the day, all the employees were wearing masks in the public areas. You are required to wear a mask in the public inside areas too.
The service is always excellent and each member off the immense staff always seems to be smiling; even behind their masks this is visible.
The rooms are very clean, also the public areas, the pool, the hallway and the public toilets are very clean.
If you go in to the supermarket or the shopping malls, please make sure you have your own mask available.
There is some construction work art the boulevard, just outside the hotel. So a slight part of the view is blocked at the moment.
Again a wonderful stay at this friendly hotel.
Overzealous and unrepentant grabbing of towels and belongings by Oscar and Ivan, who take pride in pushing their cart around like the child-catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - and all despite numerous spare beds and usually well ahead of the "hour" policy If you don't like stress, don't go to this hotel!!! Reported to "Guest Relations" and Travel Company Rep, but alas the arrogant management don't listen. Otherwise a great hotel....fantastic grub and lovely Animation colleagues :-)
We are now here since 8 days on half board. Room is nice, huge, very clean. Big bathroom, walk in garderobe...
We are in Block G. Room 2171. We asked for another pillow, solved in 10 minutes. Minibar was not working this was also solved in 15 min. Great food both morning and evening. Lots of pool and sun loungers, everything very clean. Quite a lot parasol does not work because the small part to fix it when open is missing. The negatives, not much but still. Wifi quite weak, did not bother me but annoying to sign in every time. The second minus is a big one, made by the guests, but the hotel can still be strict and ask the guests to keep the rules. I talk about the dresscode at dinner. A lot of people come like they would go to the beach. Shorts, flip flops. At least respect the other guests and the employees, thats a 5 star hotel. And interesting that the hotel does not do anything. Why?? We stayed in the costa meloneras before and there this was a no go, even in corona times. It is written everywhere but some people think if they pay they can do everything. Pity. Overall we enjoy our stay just sad to see the quality drop on guest side.
We were disappointed there is no gym at the hotel at the moment. When we checked in we were told we could use an alternative gym at the Baobab hotel but that’s not true. We visited the Baobab today and they wouldn’t even let non guests enter the hotel...
They said the gym we can use is in town not at the hotel and we would have to pay €8 to use it. This was not acceptable to us as a 5 star hotel should have a gym you can use or free access to one. Apart from this the hotel is average. We have stayed at much better 5 star hotels even during Covid. For example, the sun loungers are uncomfortable compared to other hotels - not 5 star standard. And the check in was long and stressful.
