Patalavaca and Arguineguín are neighbouring resorts located on the South West coast. Arguineguín is a charming fishing village with everything at hand and Patalavaca is a smaller village with easy access to larger resorts like Puerto Rico. The two villages connected by a coastal walkway.
Arguineguín is the livelier resort out of the two with all the amenities at hand on the coastline. This includes a range of restaurants, bars and shops. Most restaurants serve the local cuisine as well as a large seafood option, all fresh from the village itself. A street market runs once a week where many souvenir, food and clothes stalls are set up for locals and holidaymakers.
Patalavaca is popular for tourists looking for a quiet and calm holiday away from Puerto Rico’s hustle and bustle. It is perfect for golf fans as it is conveniently positioned near Anfi Touro Golf resort. There is a handful or bars and restaurants which all have the traditional Canarian feel. Most are positioned along the waterfront with range of Mediterranean, Oriental and Spanish cuisines to choose from. The village has a small black sand beach where some water sports can take place.
