Abora Continental by Lopesan Hotels

We had a very disappointing stay at Abora Hotel Gran Canaria. The bathroom had visible mold, and the overall cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. It felt dirty from the moment we arrived, and the hygiene standards were far below what we expected.

After we complained, we were offered another room, but unfortunately it had the same issues with mold and cleanliness. The problem was clearly not limited to just one room. We also felt that the hotel did not look like the photos shown online, which was very disappointing.

The hotel was also extremely overcrowded. The pool areas, restaurants, and public spaces were constantly packed, making it difficult to relax and enjoy our holiday. The food was fine and there was enough variety, which was one of the few positive aspects of our stay.

What made the experience even worse was the way the manager handled our complaint. There was very little understanding or empathy, and we did not feel that our concerns were taken seriously. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, we felt dismissed.

The situation became so unacceptable that we decided to leave the hotel and book another hotel at our own expense so we could continue our holiday in a clean and comfortable environment.

Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel. Cleanliness, customer service, and overall comfort need significant improvement.

Everything was perfect except few exceptions : 2 persons from pool bar should learn to treat foreign people with a bit more respect and learn English, the pools needs maintenance especially the kids ones and they need some anti slipping paint i saw 2 kids smashed their heads and the water was filthy needs more chlorine or treatment on all of them , food was great , animation great especially the midnight pool party with foam! Big rooms and clean , would definitely recommend to my friends and will 100% return! Thank you Abora Continental!

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel is well maintained and has a welcoming atmosphere. Although it isn't particularly modern, everything is in excellent condition and well cared for. The beautiful gardens surrounding the pools are especially impressive and give the hotel a lovely, relaxing feel. It is clear that the property is maintained to a very high standard.

One thing that really stood out was the cleanliness of the restrooms—they were absolutely spotless at all times, which says a lot about the hotel's overall standards.

The service was friendly and efficient throughout our stay. The food exceeded our expectations and was consistently of a very high quality, with plenty of variety and excellent flavors. The drinks were also excellent, making the all-inclusive experience feel well worth it.

The only real downside was the music played around the swimming pools during the day. Much of it consisted of hard rock and classic rock, which didn't really match the relaxed holiday atmosphere. We felt that more carefully selected music would have created a warmer, more enjoyable ambiance.

Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The excellent food and drinks, outstanding cleanliness, beautiful grounds, and attentive service made this a hotel we would happily recommend.
