Was a little worried about staying here with some of the recent reviews, but genuinely had a fantastic one week stay. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, our room was spotless every day and was very kindly offered some food upon our 10pm late night check in. Rooms are spacious with a strong aircon. The food was great, big selection and really easy to put a nice plate together.Great location, lots of bars and food restaurants nearby and a 10 minute walk to the beach. The drinks were your standard all inclusive package and measures were strong. My only recommendation would be to invest in some newer sun loungers and umbrellas, as a lot of the umbrellas were broken or leaning but that’s genuinely the only thing i would say. Me and my partner had a fantastic stay :)
Unfortunately our holiday here was just "ok". We took our 10yr old son and he was 1 of 3 children staying in the whole hotel, and they weren't allowed the use of balls or inflatables in or around the pool which meant they became bored easily. I didn't like the food at all but plenty of others seemed to and the entertainment was awful. I personally think the hotel in more suited to older guests or people looking for a base to get their head down. Another point to make is I asked on arrival about a late, 5-6pm check out the following week, I was told to ask on the day. 2 days before we were leaving I chanced asking again and was told there was a note against my room number and ask on the day. So on the day I asked at 7.30am and was told from a very rude gentleman that I should have asked 2days before and now it was too late. After explaining to previous attempts he still told me no. In the end, after many words we were offered out room until mid afternoon and a 30min window for all 3 of us to wash before travelling. His customer service was shocking.
Reception area very welcoming and spotless. Location is good with 5-8bars within 50 metres, and food outlets too. Beach is only 5-10 minutes away. Room clean and tidy with walk-in shower. Balcony was adequate. Air conditioning worked well. Pool areas were spacious, with an outdoor hot tub. Sunloungers were, on the whole, sufficient. However, there were many broken sunloungers which were put back into the tidied rows at the end of the day, and together with a number of broken parasols, made finding usable ones a chore every morning. Snack/drinks bar was ok, though nothing special. Food selection was OK, though quality of meat on some lunch and evening sittings was poor (fatty pork, beef and potentially undercooked chicken). Plenty of fruits though relatively poor selection of cakes. Bar and lounge area small and somewhat cramped, and the availability of proper glassware for a range of drinks was very poor. Indeed we were served mixed alcoholic drinks and cocktails in paper beakers on more than one occasion! The show stage was outside and in front of a large number of plastic tables and chairs used mainly for meals seating. A little off putting to sit down waiting for a show to start and people alongside you are still eating their evening meal! There were 3 shows staged in the first week, and the stage lighting was so poor you couldn't see any of the acts properly because the performers were in the dark save for a weak spotlight which only shone on a small area of the stage. One show was a magic show and you can imagine trying to see the intricate and complex movements the magician was performing, in semi-darkness!! There is a large tarmac area adjacent to the front of the hotel which holds a large market twice a week. Well worth browsing. Overall not an unpleasant stay, but wouldn't go back. 3* at best.
What a lovely 10 days we had a Akeah Broncemar. We we welcomed by the most friendly front of house staff and we're impressed with the reception area. Our room was not ready but we were invited to have lunch and drinks while we waited. Being used to this from other holidays we were prepared with suncream and swimwear at the top of our suitcase so enjoyed a lovely couple of hours by the pool. Everywhere was clean and tidy.
Our room was very spacious with twin beds, a good sized bathroom, lounge area with a kettle and fridge, and a large balcony overlooking the lovely pool. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
We had no issues getting a sun lounger.
We found the buffet food very nice with lots of variety. We booked a budget hotel and feel the food exceeded expectations.
The hotel is quite quiet, perfect for relaxing by the pool. The animation team kept people busy with fun adult activities. Evening entertainment was ok... nothing bad.
The pool and main bar staff work their socks off being on their own. We never had a long wait for drinks. I must give a shout out to Sheila who worked the pool bar, she was so busy but always served with a smile making you feel valued.and welcome. We made a couple of enquiries about the nearby area and staff were more than happy to help.
Only one slight negative is the paper cups that drinks are served in.(so a good idea to take a plastic beaker). I fully understand the ethos behind it, safety and the need to employ further staff to collect.
The beach is just a 10 minute flat walk to the lifts that take you down to a lovely beach with loungers, restaurants and shops.
We cannot wait to return.
The service is brilliant, we arrived late 11pm so missed our evening my meal, but one salad (not 2) in our room which we didn't eat as not in fridge. Reception staff were really helpful as were maintenance when our room door stuck and we couldn't open it. I don't believe this is a true 4* hotel the food let's it down, plenty of choice but pretty much basic As for location yes it's easy access to shops etc but not the beach which is a fair walk with steps to get to main level square for shops there. Would not advice for people with mobility issues to use. Pool is quite large and surrounded with loungers but there is no shaded areas, except sun canopies between loungers, none near snack/pool bar. Overall had a lovely stay in this hotel, and give special thanks to the reception and bar/pool bar staff. Don't think I'd revisit though. Entertainment was provided every evening, you can rate this yourself as everyone has different tastes.
