Fantastic stay
Just had another fantastic stay here, as usual great location, good price, fantastic staff, immaculately clean, absolutely loved staying here, the onsite shop, the washing & drying machines, the rooftop sun terrace, great pool, it’s really sad that it’s now closed for a year for a renovation, cant wait to go back again when it’s open and sporting air conditioning and hopefully uk tv Chanel’s

End of an era
So the end of an era !
We stayed for two weeks knowing the place is closing for total refurbishment. Perhaps we didn’t expect the dismantling to start a week before our holiday ended - we ending up the sole occupants of our floor with daily gutting of each unit taking place.
Apart from that - we have great memories of the wonderful staff and location of this place and hope to return when it re emerges in its new guise.

Closing down ghost town
Stayed here many times and always enjoyed it. This time a few issues, we stayed in a room above the fish restaurant on one end and on several occasions got the cooking smells in our room. The TV never worked properly, you had stand right in front of the TV to turn it on or off, also BBC channel,the only English channel that wasn't news only worked intermittently. Despite maintenance guys looking at it the issue was never resolved, obviously due to the refurb. Usually we were always able to get a late check out due to late flights home but this time nobody was able to have this perk as once u leave each room is being gutted Currently I would guess about half the rooms are empty.....it's very quiet!

i just stayed at Playa Del Sol in room 402. all the staff really took care of us, it was a wonderful holiday in a fantastic hotel Thank you so much. We will return when you open again!

Great hotel
Fantastic central hotel, we booked a premium room for one week, was greeted by Oliver on reception who went through everything. The room was large, clean, with everything you need. Pool area is great with plenty of sun-beds, pool is pleasant and great pool bar with free bingo everyday with prizes.
The roof top nudist area is perfect for stripping and enjoying the sun with comfortable sun-beds and the breeze to keep you cool.
We are gutted this hotel is closing for a year as we can’t wait to get back but look forward to see what the refurb brings.
