Arrived 7th July and the receptionist was very very helpful. I can’t praise him Any company that want to improve customer relations then look at octavia He is the man Hotel is clean tidy meals are nice pool is great I have nothing to complain about. Would recommend this hotel 100%.
last October was our 2nd visit to this hotel and was as good as the first visit. There was always a good choice of food and the room was thoroughly cleaned. Cleaners were amazing and friendly...
On both visits we had an amazing time at the hotel. Only issue was with some of the German people who were rude but we didn't let them spoil our holiday. This year we have bent over backwards to get the same hotel. Would recommend to everyone.
Currently on day 7/10 of my trip with my boyfriend and have been over whelmed with how clean and how good the service has been! The lady and the man at the front desk are very polite and helpful no matter what time it is. The food is very good for everyone as there is a lot to chose from but don’t forget to go round the corner of the canteen for more food! As for the pool it is big and clean and has many seats but I personally use the sister hotel which is across the road as I prefer the bar as it has more seating. All inclusive is a no brainier for this hotel with free cocktails all day up until 10:30 pm with evening entertainment as well beer on the tap for every meal...
The beach is only a peaceful and quite scenic 15-20 minute walk but there is a bus shuttle and the beach is busy but still easy to find a space and the sea is nice and warm! Considering my visit has been during corona virus it has still been an amazing holiday as there is soap everywhere and you only have to wear the mask in the lobby and whilst getting food it makes you forget about it which I love! So far I have absolutely nothing to complain about and would definitely come here again and would most certainly recommend to everyone thinking of coming to Gran Canaria!
Will start with the negatives we found and then the postives of the same area. but again one mans negatives can be one mans positives!
Food. We was here for 2 weeks and the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner didnt change! A few extras was thrown in now and again like seafood nibbles, roast pork trimmings...
But 95% of the food stayed the same. Bland chips, pasta, chicken, beef, the basics you would find on any all inclusive holiday. So after a week we started eating out. But what food was there was nice. Very clean and presented well. Staff quick to take away dirty plates and glasses and also friendly! Daytime snacks.... dont exist! We was told that was wrong on the internet!
Pool. Smoking by the pool is surely a no? But it seems to be a german central for smoking! Children etc all running about and tons people smoking around the pool! We moved serval times to avoid the clouds of smoke! The hotel claims 4 pools. But its one main pool at the reception in which nothing happens unless you want peace and a dead bar its good. over the road in another hotel which you can use has 1 kids pool and 2 other small pools next to each-other. Both pools get packed by 9am so get down early. Pools are very clean and fresh, and the lady who sits by the pool is very friendly and charming! Made our days abit more fun watching here loving her job! No lillos in the pools allowed!.
Bars. Bars close at 10.30pm!! Bar by the reception pool forget! Staff take ages to appear and then take even longer to make a simple drink! Sometimes can be rude like you have disturbed them out the back. Bar over the road the staff are lovely in the daytime! Better drinks and more effort! Of an evening the staff can be abit more moody. I asked for 4 drinks for us sitting with another couple, and I got heavily questioned by the lady and had to point and prove they was not for us 2.... Abit embarrassing. Drinks are great! Tasted lovely! But closes at 10.30!
Rooms. Cant fault hotel rooms! Clean, modern and tidy! We was on the 4th floor and had great views. Housekeeping dont service rooms on a wednesday, sunday or your last day. But we coped. Great beds and bathrooms!
Reception. Reception staff great! Octivio i may of spelt his name wrong was great! Friendly and went out his way to give us directions etc and also when we could not access our room one night due to a dead battery in the door. Morning lady was lovely too!
Location. Great location. €5 in a taxi to all beaches and most attractions around us. And a 30 min walk to the main maspalomas beach. Quite central and quite at night.
Entertainment. Normal auqa gym stuff in the daytime. But evening entertainment was very very poor. A few quizzes that went on for ages and then they had some one the answers wrong. Over 2 weeks we had one show put on, 3 people tap dancing to music but after 10 mins no one was paying attention very boring. Again we started going out of an evening but only to rush back as the bars close at 10.30!
Overall we maybe come back, 7/10 overall.
The hotel is for sure not a 4 stars. The self-service buffet during the Covid situation is not the right way. The rooms need renovation...
The Wi-Fi to be payed is not acceptable and the safe was an old heirloom. Very good and professional the waitress Ana Maria and all the stuff is very friendly. The swimming pool area is ok.
