From the minute I walked in to the minute I left I loved everything about the staff at reception to the staff at breakfast ( particularly Tracey who was just the most lovely, bubbly and so good at her job with everyone she dealt with ) to the staff at dinner. ( there was the odd mardy looking ones but you get that everywhere. Deal with them the way they deal with you and that also can be said for the other guests at the hotel. Predominantly German I’d say and generally really well mannered bar a few who thought the hotel and food was for their priority but yet again you always get ill mannered people everywhere in life. Expected but not welcome. Highly recommend this hotel for the friendliness, cleanliness, position and the food. ( a little repetitive but superb quality )

Definitely worth a visit. Beautiful place and staff at this hotel.

We stayed for a week and everything was perfect! The first evening we arrived the buffet was probably the best I've ever had, the menus change during the week with different types of cuisines. Also the a la carte was very good and the prices are nice.

There was plenty room every day at the pool area  and you also get drinks served there. Pool towels are offered by the hotel. There is live music almost every night on the bar.

From the 3rd floor rooms you get very nice views of the dunes and the sea itself. The walking distance to the beach and the local bazaar with plenty of different places to eat is short.

Rooms are very spatious and larger than you would assume from the photos. The hotel is very clean and the customer service is top notch. I would defenitely book this place again!

Superb!

Second visit to this lovely hotel and already booked for next year. Rooms are modern and very comfortable. All staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was available to 11am and had all you need to start the day. Loved the buffet dinner with lots of choices for evening meal. Located on the beach and close to many restaurants, a great place to stay in plays del ingles.

Fantastic views over the dunes (5th floor).
Very clean and modern room. 
Really liked the kettle facility and the fridge.
Only thing is the hard pillow. Maybe having a second softer pillow would have been nice.
Very quiet at night. Yes, there was music outside but with the windows closed it didn't cause any problem. 

Themed dinner worth the price. Breakfast very good but a bit cramped with people during rush hour. Only thing that was missing was the gofio. 

We used the free sauna which was a nice experience. 30min slot is a bit rushed but doable. Also used the fitness centre. Small but a good selection of different machines.

Plenty of good restaurants outside the hotel. Just ask the friendly receptionist for recommendations. They have a list. 

The bus station is walking distance. So you can easily use the bus to go to the airport or visit other places like Mogan.

Another fantastic stay at The Santa Monica. We’ve been here 4 times in the last 18 months and will definitely be back. Rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are very friendly and the location is perfect. If you go poolside, there are always plenty of loungers and the whole place has a nice relaxed feel. As others have said, the WiFi isn’t too good but that was the only minor issue. We really don’t want to stay anywhere else now when we visit Gran Canaria.
