Nice location

Lovely hotel close to beach and friendly staff, I would recommend this hotel even though I'm british, I never encountered any issues with my nationality. Rooms are large and clean, food in restaurant was good always found something to eat, even if it all wasn't to my taste. Always got a sunbed on the upper terrace which we actually preferred. 👍

Lovely holiday!

We had a wonderful time at Sandy Beach! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a nice size shower.

The hotel itself is spotless and there were people cleaning constantly throughout the day. There was an incident while we were there where someone had an accident in the pool, but it was immediately cordened off and was thoroughly cleaned with lots of chemicals before it repoened.

The pool isnt huge and I can imagine it gets very crowded at peak seasons, but for us it was fine and was a lovely temperature, just what we needed as it was so hot! There was the usual rush for sunbeds, people are allowed to reserve them from 8.45. We got one around the pool every day without issue, but there is also a terrace that has plenty.

The food was as you would expect from an All Inclusive hotel and there was always plenty of choice. They had a theme every night which was nice. Some of the tables are very close together so you can end up literally sitting with another couple, but wasnt a big deal for us.

The bar areas were good and the drinks were strong! The bar staff were largely fantastic! Big shout out to Cheng and Nereyda who were always amazing and looked after us!

Overall a very nice holiday!

Not a 4 star hotel

I wouldn't rate this hotel as a 4 star, maybe a 3 star plus. The hotel is clean but the room we stayed in was old. A small bed for a 11 year old child. The bathroom was large and clean but got very steamy and only a window into the passageway to clear it. The hairdryer was old and attached to the bathroom wall. I really have never understood thus in most European hotels. Breakfast was good and staff very good. Lunch was good but evening meal for us wasn't great. Definitely not geared up for children, we had to ask a few times to have something cooked separately as the grandchildren to like fish, salad and a roast meet most nights. Although they did enjoy the dessert selection. I really don't understand the dress code for men in the evening no shorts above the knee or sliders, seems very sexiest when women have open toe flat and high sandals, playsuit and shorts skirts and dresses. There is sunbeds but for the ones near the pool you did need to que. The terrace ones are okay if you want to just lie in lines all day, and don't have children. I dread to think what it's like at the height of summer. One of the pool staff was rude and quite aggressive if you pulled your sun bed out by an inch but didn't challenge those that tipped him to help them. Please be advised the pool slabs are really quite slippy hence the suction machine being used a lot to remove water splashes and children being told not to splash by said pool man. Now onto entertainment. Simply terrible. A few singers at the outdoor or indoor bars which are quite small and the service isn't great for drinks or snacks. Tbh we only had a few waffles late afternoon it's not the AI I expected. I would say this hotel is more the older generation. It did seem quite and very orderly so if you like good entertainment laughter and music this hotel is not for you.

Room 731 Junior suite

We stayed half board with our 17 yr old grandson in a junior suite on a corner overlooking the street and the pool. He had a bed in the living area ,there was no door to our bedroom but it was ok . The room was a good size and clean. The clientele seemed to be mostly German. There was a wide age range there , not all mature people. It was half term time. There was a queue for breakfast and dinner sometimes . There was plenty of choice of food and we found the staff very pleasant too. The buffet was sometimes busy but not too bad . You might have to step out of the way of certain people, who don't seem to care to give way to you with your plate of food. Not the fault of the hotel. We only used the pool sunbed area once one afternoon , it was usually quite busy. The situation is good , not too far to the sea front. In the evening we sometimes stayed at the poolside bar , it was nice. The drinks aren't particularly cheap , we weren't all inclusive. A supermarket is nearby. We did enjoy our week in the sun and it was a good choice of hotel .

A very nice choice

very nicely located, just a few minutes walk from the beach (there is a separate entrance which you might need to hunt a little to find - basically go through the restaurant and there are stairs & a lift by the toilets, you will need your room key to get in and out) and to the Yumbo. Food excellent quality and nice pool area. Rooms quite spacious and comfortable. Place is spotless and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
