Puerto Azul

Stayed here from 15th for a week checked it just before stop tap got a cold box of sandwiches and fruit as we arrived late. Got to our room 7520 which was underneath where the football court was pretty noisy road underneath and a generator in a shed opposite plus you here all the empty bottles being put into skips at night rooms are lovely cleaned and modern pools are very good and warm and always got a sunbed food is very got in the buffet and snack bar staff were not very approachable not many spoke to you entertainment was average except from the animation team who work hard all day and night most of the hotel is spotless except for the seating area outside of the snack bar which was always dirty and plagued with loads of pigeons eating on tables and on the floor you never seen staff cleaning the floors from them pigeon dropping everywhere we went all inclusive but it’s not really all inclusive as most cocktails you have to pay for and the drinks are poor quality and at times the ques at the bar became pretty long the staff at reception were pretty rude at times and not very helpful this was our 5th time here and will be probably our last as it as problems with pigeons and the quality of all inclusive drinks

Another amazing holiday here 3rd time now and will go again ,food is always good staff very pleasent and helpfull ,plenty spaces for sunbeds ,hard to get a space down at adults section sunbeds the usual towles on to reserve those but plenty other places to go ,love the hotel modern and clean ,,ive got one gripe when we checked out our room which we did in the morning you can book the courtesy room at reception its not a courtesy room its 3 shower rooms you book so get yourself ready for journey home ,we booked it for 4pm ,we collected towles from reception and headed there for a shower only to find all 3 were being used and people waiting outside to use them because you can just walk in there, there is no one looking over them who goes in and of course people take advantage of that ,that needs looking into i think you should be given a key for your allocated slot and after your half hour is done you hand it back so everyone gets a fair chance ,anyhow we went back to reception told them situation and they gave us a spare room and thankyou for that ,this is going to be a ongoing problem and can cause arguments really needs looking into ,apart from that excellent we will be returning

We stayed at the Puerto Azul in June and we had researched thoroughly before booking, Safe to say we weren't disappointed.

Overall hotel was stunning, great views, extremely clean and a pleasant place to be.

We where all inclusive and can definitely say that was definitely one of the best all incisive we've seen. Food was good, fresh, can get receptive near end of the week but definitely not stuck for options, we enjoyed so much we never ate outside the hotel the whole week. The snack bar is great what it offers for the time frame it does is great and there is something for everyone. Self service soft drinks also for 24hrs means there's always an option for you. Didn't use the bar much as was mostly soft drink and local beer but when did everything was nice.

Room was clean, spacious and well decorated, we had a junior suite with sea view and views where stunning. Air con was also fantastic keep the room cool for us retuning when out.

Pool areas again clean, plenty of sun beds and multiple choice of pools. Due to the hotels location when wind gets slightly up staff do tie up umbrellas to prevent them from falling but never really caused us an issue.

Adult only spa pool area is a great place to relax, although it opens at 9.30 there is people queuing from around 8-8:30 to reserve sunbeds there, hotel did advise this isn't allowed but did happen and no one stopped it, so can be difficult to get at this area.

Animation team shows where brilliant these tend to start at 9-9:30, also this team does plenty activities and pool sports during the day. Although shows where good the other entrainment on earlier was poor and felt like you where waiting for animation team shows to start.

5 euro taxi ride to Puerto Rico Mogan mall, there is a walking path but is steep due to hotels location. Europa centre only 10 minute walk for bars and shops but is uphill. Although there is a spar on side which had everything we needed.

Only things that we felt slightly let hotel down was reception staff where very quick, blunt and unhelpful especially when there the first people you see. This caused us to spend half an hour hunting for lifts and our room as no proper directions given. The hotel is large and elevator system with multiple elevators taking you to different floors can be confusing for first few days. Also at the snack bar dining area can be bad with pigeons but only so much hotel can do with this. As said previously about the subbed reservation at adults only areas.

Overall this didn't overly affect our holiday we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would return again. We went through a jet2 package holiday and had no problems .
