We had the best experience at Servatur Casablanca and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone! Our room was amazing with the kitchenette, Jacuzzi bath on the balcony (hot tub), sun loungers and table and chairs. The hotel staff were amazing, especially Alberto and Dunia, and the food was great.
I would only say that it would have been good to know, when looking at the hotel on Love Holidays, that for dinner you have to book a time as the starters and deserts are buffet style but the main course is à la carte. Furthermore, there is a wellness spa area with sauna, steam room, indoor pool with different features, which is free, but you have to book an hours slot.
Nearly all the rooms only offer what I would describe as a side sea view / partial sea view as the hotel faces down into the valley so only some rooms allow you to fully see the sea from the balcony. For ours, you had to put your sun loungers on the end of the balcony to face to sea or go and stand there to look out.
When I booked through love holidays, it said there was live music and there wasn’t and I wasn’t aware dinner was an à la carte main or that you had to book, so just note this if you are planning on going.
However, this was an amazing adults only hotel which I would highly recommend to anyone with amazing food - offering vegetarian and vegan options, high cleanliness standards and friendly staff.
Top tip - to get down to the shopping centre where the shops, bars and restaurants are, don’t go down the stairs directly to the left of the hotel entrance. Turn right out of the hotel and flow the road, down the slope. You will find stairs further down on the right and there’s only 100 stairs there which is a lot less than going the other way and less strenuous!
I was really excited to spend my 40th birthday at this hotel but unfortunately it didnt live up to the hype Positives: Rooms are spacious Air con was great Gorgeous views Staff friendly/helpful Negatives: The pool has zero atmosphere, no music at all, you can hear a pin drop The shop shuts really early The sunbeds are on their last legs, i thought i was going to fall through the last one i tried to lay on the tables in between each set of sun loungers are all bent out of shape, some money needs to be invested here, horrible uncomfortable sun loungers. The spa is past its best, its dark and feels a little unclean, i spent less than 10 minutes in here. There is nothing terribly wrong with this hotel, but I just expected a bit more
My husband and I are just ready to leave the hotel. We are both mid 60’s. We have really enjoyed our stay in one of the large apartments with a fantastic balcony there was only one problem I will explain later. We have been here 8 days. Our room was cleaned every day apart from one and our beds changed twice. If the lady came early we just asked her for clean towels and we packed up the contents of our bin for her. The ladies were lovely and you were always met with a smile. We even had a couple of chocolates left on our bed for us. There was a bottle of water in our fridge when we arrived and washing up liquid, cloth to wash dishes and a towel to dry them. Ample dishes cutlery glasses in cooking area. The hotel we found to be lovely and clean except until we were leaving. I will explain later. The pool area was lovely with ample sun beds and parasols. Life guard on duty walking around making sure no glass bottles at pool area. The food at the pool bar was freshly cooked and we thought a reasonable price. As people have mentioned before there are a good few steps down to the centre but only 4 euros for a taxi home. Now for the only negative points. My husband and I are well traveled and have found most hotels cater for people going home on late flights. This one doesn’t. We went to reception the day prior to departure to ask if we could pay to keep our room on till 6pm the day we were leaving and were told to call reception at 9am on the morning of our departure. We knew we were wasting our time because we had spoken to other guests who were in the same position and had been refused. Luckily for them some other guests offered them the use of their showers. We were told there was a shower in the gym we could use and we could store our luggage at reception. You didn’t get a time slot to use the showers which we have always found at previous hotels and there was only one in the ladies and one in the gents. No locks on the doors. The shower was not clean. It was full of black hairs and when I stepped out of it another lady walked in. NO PRIVACY. There is a hairdryer but I had to use the ladies toilets in reception to plug my hair straighteners in. The only other negative thing was my husband turned on the water on our jacuzzi on our balcony and it spat out horrible big blobs of something and then disgusting black hairs. These are the only 2 negatives but I feel you get anxious on the day you are leaving if it’s a later flight and the hotel could definately make it a nicer experience allocating a couple of nice clean rest rooms at an allocated time stamp for people. Other than that we would definately come back to the hotel. And would definately recommend it.
Don’t believe the negative reviews
This was our 4th time at the Servatur Casablanca and from the very first moment to the very last we had a fantastic experience Check in was a breeze with everything explained for our stay at the hotel
As the room wasn’t ready (we were early) we had a couple of drinks at the poolside bar what a shame as happy hour was in progress 🍺🍺🥂🥂
The room we had 414 was as expected Walk in shower Comfy bed Plenty of space for your clothes A small but compact kitchenette with everything provided that you would need
The balcony was superb with 2 loungers a table and chairs and best of all a jacuzzi
The guy that cleans the room was excellent and very good at his job
The hotel it’s self is far enough back so you don’t hear the noise of the centre where all the bars and restaurants are but close enough to walk to For those with walking issues it might be a bit to much both ways but for €4 you can get a taxi back
Used the restaurant for our evening meal a few times and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was The roof top bar is an added bonus Ruben runs an excellent bar
We had a fantastic 10 days and are already looking forward to our next stay
Thanks to all the staff cleaners waitress’s waiters front desk staff you are a credit to the hotel
Thanks for the experience
