Happy holidays

On first impression of the hotel, the accommodation blocks look very tired. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean and bed was so comfy. Staff are very friendly. Food was tasty but sometimes a bit on the warm side, but having said there was large variety of tasty morsels to be eaten. The beach can be accessed by turning right out of the hotel and look for a sign displaying playa san agustin, there are over 100 steps to go down or you can continue down the pavement to the bottom of the road. Walking time to the beach approximately 10 - 15 minutes. There is a nice Spar shop on the way down the hill if you require anything. Would recommend the Island Trip, it is an all day excursion, costing around 70 Euros but the views are amazing. Hope you enjoy like I did.

Great hotel for a nice break in the sun

This hotel is very good for a relaxing break food is good and drinks are plenty. I am a fussy eater and found something everyday although I did get a bit fed up with the choice of food as I am a fussy eater the snack bar had other choices so that made up for it. I am also lactose intolerant and they cater for that too in a lot of foods. You can ask for milk for that too which is good. The pools were a bit cold even though they say heated for one of them still a bit chilly but it was November. A few steps to get to certain areas of the hotel but slopes are provided too. All in all it is a good hotel and beds were comfortable, shower was good and hair dryer worked. Mini fridge in room and a kettle they do provide one large bottle of mineral water on day 1 but you have to get your own after that for the kettle I filled mine up with the self service water stations although it says do not fill bottles it also says do not drink tap water so I filled my bottle up when needed and no one said anything. I did find beans on breakfast cold a few mornings running but to be honest that was the ONLY thing I could complain about with the food everything else was perfect. Only thing I would like to see for the kids section is chicken nuggets as they are at the snack bar but not in restaurant which would of been nice as my child likes them for his meal. The hotel is up a very steep hill so going out is difficult if you have mobility problems but a taxi is €5 down to the san August shopping centre where there is a beautiful restaurant called Panoroma views are stunning overlooking the sea and the fillet steak with the mushroom sauce was amazing definitely worth a visit.

Review from adults only

Thus review is from an adults only point of view. Arrived mid afternoon and was quickly checked in. Credit card is need for E50 which is not charged but kept aside incase you charge anything to your room etc. Missed lunch so headed for the snakc bar. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the choice of food on offer - used it several times during our stay for an afternoon snack - pizza, burgers, chips, fruit, etc and it was regularly replenished rather than large quantities of food been left out. We had room 4418 in the adult only block with a view of the gardens. There is a lift in this block.

Our room was spotlessly clean and stayed that way during our stay. The beds were comfy and the bathroom had a walk in shower. Usual lack of drawer space for smaller items with only a wardrobe with a shelf along with the tea and coffee making facilities. Had a fridge that came with a large bottle of water but that is the only one you get.

The restuarant was laid out in tables of two and four with some larger tables for bigger groups. The drinks are on tap - beer red/white/rose wine and six soft drinks along with fruit juices. We found the food was of typical all inclusive buffet and we found plenty to eat at each meal though as usual was not very warm. Omelettes in the morning were a good choice as they were freshly cooked. Various choices of coffee from machines at breakfast were good as was the choice of food to eat.

We paid extra for an adult only room so had access to the adult only pool which was perfect if a little cold when you first got in. It was never busy (last week in November) and we always got a cabana. Had a self service bar with beer and soft drinks only.

The bar area at reception is not very big and has little character but we got sears there every night which suited us while playing cards. Cannot comment on the entertainment as its not something that interests us.

The whole resort is spotlessly clean and the staff were all very friendly. Don,t be put off by the exteria of the hotel on arrival because it certainley changes as you enter the grounds. Lots of steps to the beach but you can go via the road. We didn't feel it was that far to walk but it might if you have children.

After reading other reviews we were not looking forward to our stay but were very pleasantly surprised and would definitely return. Only 25 minutes from the airport.
