Taurito, Gran Canaria

Taurito

This secret gem of a resort is tucked away between volcanic hills on the southwest coast of Gran Canaria. With desert-like dunes, black sands and azure waters, this resort is ideal for some beach therapy.

Guests can enjoy all of the amenities this quaint little resort has to offer. At Taurito beach you'll find an array of water sports including surfing, parasailing and jet skiing. Beyond the beach there is an arcade, bowling alley and tennis courts for guests to enjoy.

When to go

The great thing about Taurito is the fact that the weather is great all year round. Temperatures rarely drop below 12°C and summer months are usually 23°C or higher.

Through June to August there is almost no rain and, therefore, summer is usually the most popular time to visit.

Top Attractions

Tucked behind the beach is Lago Oasis, a waterpark with a lagoon-style swimming pool, hair-raising slides and beautiful tropical gardens. The Wellness and Spa Krabi also makes for a chilled-out excursion where you can relax in the pleasant waters in the spa and soak up relaxation.

Beaches

Explore nearby Puerto de Mogan, a picturesque resort that hosts a beautiful marina, tourist shops, delicious restaurants and quirky cocktail bars. On Fridays there is a large open-air market where you can enjoy food and delicious, locally produced goods.

Sit back and relax on the calm shores of Taurito Beach, soak up the Canarian sun and watch the world go by as you indulge in some (likely) much-needed beach time. This peaceful beach is perfect for getting lost in a good book or but you’ll also find well-stocked cafes and bars lining the promenade for a snack or tipple.

Dining

There are many restaurants to choose from in Taurito as well as a range of catering establishments. Lola Ville Burger & Chill Out, Restaurante Bar Terraza Taurito and Mistral are a few just to start! You’ll find Spanish, Mediterranean, seafood, European food and more.
