Very Good

Good hotel in a quiet location. Stayed 10th to the 18th Nov 23, weather was hot with a breeze. Booked a Select room with Premium Ai, great sized suite on floor 4. Premium lounge is great for a drink anytime, we used it mainly before and after evening meal. There is a very good selection of branded drinks on standard Ai. We had an evening meal in the Al’a’carte which was delicious. Good selection of food and drinks at lunchtime , breakfast was good, you can with Premium Ai have breakfast bought to your table, but service was a bit hit and miss. The Premium outside seating area was nice but furthest from the serving area. There was a pothole in the doorway to the outside dining area, which did eventually get filled in. Evening food was ok, but have had a lot better at other 4 star hotels. There’s plenty of choice, but some things were a bit random. You won’t go hungry. We went to the Spa once, although with Premium Ai you can go daily, for us it wasn’t a deal breaker. There are areas for Premium guests to sun bathe, although we didn’t use them as there were plenty of other places to lay in the sun. There is a supermarket being built behind the hotel, but there is no noise, in fact it’s a very quiet hotel, at this time of the year. A nice 5 min walk to the harbour and 15 min walk back up hill !! Free bus to the nearest town was great, 3 times a day. Although it says some of the pools are heated, they are still cool. Nice to speak to the lady on reception who does the Premium Ai , I think her name was Rachel, very informative. Overall a great hotel and we are thinking about going back next year.

Excellent Hotel and spa.

This hotel gives you what you want, when you want it. We asked for a quite room on a high floor and that is what we got and our room could not be faulted. Facilities are great and staff are very attentive. We went all inclusive which included named drinks not just local brands and constant food when we wanted it. Also a free visit to the spa was included. Located near a harbour the walks in either direction are well worth the effort. The heated pools were good and the on site beach was good too. Lots of activities going on if you want that. but the site is big enough to find a quite spot should you wish. However, some areas are reserved for executive guests. This is our second visit and we will be back.

Great standard

Very good hotel , went for all inclusive option , and very glad I did! Buffet style for lunch and dinner, great selection and good service from the staff. Wine and drinks very good and all spirits were branded and good quality. Entertainment in the evening was really good and my inclusive Spa afternoon was excellent. The courtesy bus was very good too.

Wonderful with a few niggles

Beautiful hotel & Spa , I would have loved to give this 5 stars, but there were a few niggles . The hairdryer in the room was very difficult to use, my elderly mother couldn’t grip it together to use it, I asked for a replacement or a loan, but the hotel didn’t have one. The food was not fantastic, we didn’t go hungry but the quality was not great. We had premier inclusive, the lounge was fantastic and generally kept very clean, except for Sunday 19th when it wasn’t cleared all afternoon. The premier dining area, is furthest away from the buffet, and as most of the guests were elderly or immobile this doesn’t seem sensible. The inclusive Al cate dinner was only available for 1 night a week and this was fully booked by saga All that being said, the hotel is quite, the staff are excellent, there are plenty of sun beds, the Spa is wonderful I’d certainly be back again, just hope the attention to details are resolved

Second visit didn't disappoint

It's our second stay at this hotel and we still love it. We stayed in a Select Double room which was spacious and well laid out with fabulous sea views. The room was spotless and everything was very well maintained. We particularly enjoyed swimming in the 40 metre seawater pool and we also used the well equipped gym The marina is just a short walk away and a great place to sit and have a drink. We donned our trainers to take few coastal walks from the marina to both Puerto del Carmen and Quemada which is a place I'd definitely recommend. If you are staying for a couple of weeks I recommend you hire a car from Cabrera Medina to see more of the island. We visited Los Hervidores, El Golfo, Playa Mujeres and Teguise as well as the well known tourist hotspots. The hotel Costa Calero is perfectly situated for a relaxed holiday in one of the nicest parts of Lanzarote
