Barcelo Lanzarote Active

We travel a lot around the world, and we can honestly say that Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort exceeded all our expectations.

The first thing that deserves special praise is the food. It has been a very long time since we enjoyed such delicious, high-quality cuisine in a hotel. Every dish had its own unique flavour, everything tasted exactly as it should, and nothing felt repetitive. Fresh fish tasted like fresh fish, meat was perfectly prepared, desserts were amazing, and the variety was incredible. Every meal was a pleasure, and congratulations to the chefs for maintaining such an outstanding standard.

The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and exceptionally well maintained. Everywhere you look is clean, tidy, and carefully looked after.

Our room was spotless every single day. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job, and we especially appreciated how carefully they made our beds every day. It may seem like a small detail, but nowadays this level of care is becoming increasingly rare.

The pools are fantastic for both adults and children. We especially loved that the hotel has an Olympic-size swimming pool for sports enthusiasts, as well as heated pool where our children could happily spend hours. Everything is beautifully designed and very well maintained.

The atmosphere throughout the hotel is wonderful. Every member of staff was friendly, smiling, professional, and genuinely kind. Even though they worked hard in the summer heat, they were always welcoming and patient. We were especially impressed by how warmly and respectfully everyone treated children.

This hotel truly knows how to make guests feel welcome and appreciated.

We left with beautiful memories and are already looking forward to returning. Without any doubt, we will choose Barceló again in the future and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional holiday in Lanzarote.

Exceptional service in the buffet. Good room service. Great facilities. Nice and lovely atmosphere. Perfect noise level, not too loud. Very clean. Greate value. Beautiful location. Liam the server was very helpful and patient. Helped us a lot.

Just got back from a 7 night stay with my husband. Pros: great gym, however no aircon in the gym so i would recommend going early! Food was good some nights, others nights not so good. We felt there was lack of protein options we liked. Pools are heated. Staff are friendly and happy to be there. Hotel is well kept in most areas. Cocktails are great!

Cons: food is repetitive and only warm, i would recommend going early for best options. Snack bar is basic food and only luke warm most of the time. Most popular places to visit are 15-20 taxi ride, costing around €20-25 per trip. Can be difficult to get sunbeds at times. Pool area on main side is not well kept throughout the day, floor is dirty and rubbish blowing around, much better on other side in my opinion. Our room was above royal level bar so quiet noisy some times until 1am.

Overall this is a lovely hotel and for what we paid personally i felt was great value. We would return.
