First of all reception were polite helpful and quick at booking in. The apartments are huge practical with a lovely big balcony. Complex cleverly designed so that all have a pool view...
Always plenty of hot water for a shower. The kitchenette was great full size fridge etc. The food is excellent a lot of choice so always something to love! Freshly cooked pancakes every morning fresh lemons etc to accompany them, a full English breakfast cheese salads galore. The staff are lovely polite hard working and plentiful. Also importantly beds were very comfortable good air con
Stayed for two weeks end of August into September, arriving not long after the hotel had just reopened
I have to say our stay was excellent, and allowed us to enjoy a well needed break in the Sun
Rooms are spacious, well appointed and look to have been redecorated during closure. We had a third floor room and there are no lifts so as mentioned in other reviews if mobility is an issue then ask for a ground floor, it didn't affect us and if I'm honest I preferred it as we had a nicer view. The balcony was huge, bed was comfy and the little kitchenette was a bonus (we hired a kettle for 5 euros which was given back to us)...
TV has a few channels including BBC, ITV and Sky News - I know holiday isn't about watching telly but it was good to have nonetheless.
Rooms we cleaned 5 out of 7 days, done well and had no issues at all - in terms of the Canaries I'd say it was one of the best we've stayed in. Shower is good, hairdryer in bathrooms and safe in the cupboard free to use; there's also a good range of sockets which helps
The food in my opinion was excellent, a good range with genuine themed nights - it was tasty and well prepared. Don't expect gourmet as it is an all inclusive, but again one of the better Canarian restaurants I've encountered, we enjoyed every meal we had but also went out a few times as well. The pool bar was good with a range of snacks, I particularly liked the Sandwich offering as well as the usual Burger, hot dog, chips and salad offering. Drinks in the pool bar are like a vending machine, and self serve which again I liked as meant less queueing
I can't really comment on the nightly shows as it's not something we go for, but I think it's fair to say it will improve as they get back on their feet. I wouldn't say the animation or activity offering was particularly amazing, but again I was enjoying the sun bed and weather.
The pool is perfect, cool but refreshing and with a variety of different areas - which was ideal for the warm weather. We didn't travel with kids so I can't comment on the child offering
All in all the staff were excellent, every encounter we had be it at reception, in the pool area, restaurant or cleaning team was really nice - their team are a credit to the hotel
If I could offer any constructive points - more parasols would be good so that there is more shade when needed. Also more outdoor seating on a night would have been nice (there does seem space for it so maybe it's a change as a result of Covid) - other than that it was excellent
Would I stay again? Absolutely! Wasnt overly in love with Teguise itself but if we were to stay again, I'd be checking this place out for sure - well done and thankyou!
Arrived close to 9pm and greeted by reception who didn't know we were coming. Given room 270 told it was other side of site and given key, go past the pools you'll see numbers on the blocks. Walked there without really knowing where we were going...
Got there eventually, it was 1st floor. No lift, so if mobility problems get ground floor room. Apartment was clean and good size but sparsely furnished. Asked about food, told restaurant was shut, but may be a few bits of bread, ham and cheese. No bottled water anywhere, told to go to Spar nearby if we wanted any! At this stage we just wanted to go somewhere else. Following day went to breakfast which was reasonable, full English, cereals, fruit, joghurt etc. Coffee from machine was good, and water from dispenser. Got back to room realised there was strange smell, was the dirty smelly towels. Asked to get replaced, sort out the power in the shower and the safe door wouldn't lock. Fixed shower and safe but next lot of towels were no different. Asked maid to replace which she did, still same problem. Ended up buying our own towels from local shop! No one in their right mind could use their towels, they were rank. Had a walk round resort, sunbeds at a premium. You need to get towels down early if you need a good spot despite the complex advising visitors not to do so. Pools were best part of complex, 2 adult type pools and 2 kiddie pools. Cold water however so beware. Spent most of time round the smaller of the adult pools. Can be windy, so get yourself a sunbed in a bit of cover. Lunch was nice, plenty of salad, cooked dishes, pizza and desserts. Bit of a bullfight at busy times, but time it right and it was fine. Staff in restaurant were lovely. Evening meal had a theme most nights, but enough there if you didn't fancy it. Did get a bit samey by the end of the week. Went to "Piano Show Bar" after dinner, a featureless room with a small bar and a small stage, filled with plastic tables and chairs. Was like something out of a working man's club in the 1970s. Absolutely awful. Outside seating was limited and was quickly taken over. There was some seating by the pool bar, but that shuts at 6, and is in a bit of a dark corner. Have to say it was worst evenings we have ever spent while abroad and that was up against some pretty stiff opposition. Decided to go out of resort most evenings and find local bars of which there are a few. Drinks are cheap and often 2 for 1 Happy hour. Drinks in resort were plentiful apart from bottled water. Alcoholic drinks were very weak, get a double without too much ice or don't bother. Beer was meant to be Amstel, but tasted different to bar round the corner. Pool bar opens at 10 till 6, lots of half pissed sunbathers gather in this area. They serve snacks but they looked awful so gave them a miss. There was no chance of a late check out, no courtesy room due to covid, so had a change of clothes and used toilet in reception area.
This resort is apartments trying to cash in on all inclusive market. Its not a hotel in any way. Restaurant staff were great, but reception were less helpful. Its a 3 star place at the very best. Would not re visit in another lifetime as too many faults in resort, and area around is quite run down. Not the purpose built resort for the wealthy Spaniards Tui would have you believe. Try another larger resort in Lanzarote.
We wanted a quiet holiday away from the stresses of covid and our numerous lockdowns. Definitely didn't feel like that. Was a let down as expected more from Tui. 4/5 out of 10 is being generous.
We were the first coach load to arrive after opening and we had a brilliant first week, all the staff everywhere work their socks off! Food and drink was amazing, plenty of choice, good quality and very tasty! Ice cream is available from roughly 10am in the pool bar to 9pm in the restaurant! We loved the fact that pizzas were always on in the restaurant for our picky eater also! We met Georgio and Ricki from the animation team, they had been brought in from other places so their first day here too, lovely guys! The second week was still brilliant but there was a massive influx of new guests which weren’t so keen on sticking to the rules, the poor chefs, cleaners, bar staff, animation team, receptionists, pool guys and life guards all wore their masks the whole time they were here whether in or out, even on the baking hot days but some of the guests couldn’t put one on to even walk around to get their food, we were worried because we had to test before we left so we brought it to the receptionists attention and the next day more signs came out then it was enforced more too! I also have to say anything that needs doing gets done straight away here, the maintenance guys were great! We had a few ants in the apartment (perfectly normal!) they came straight away and got rid of them, we did get a few more later on but they gave us a spray and it did the job! The entertainment could of done with a bit more on the evening but we did understand that Covid is a reason for that. The life guards do an amazing job there’s one particular guy that is constantly tidying the mess from guests, we also found 2 kittens on different days that needed help and he took them in and cared for them, lovely guy! We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely return, Thankyou El Trebol for making our first Covid holiday safe and amazing, you all do a brilliant job! : )
Firstly our journey through both airports were very quick, we flew from Birmingham. On arrival at the hotel our room was not ready but we were given our wrist bands and told to explore the pool bar for a much needed drink and lunch. Our rooms were allocated and were exactly what I requested, two rooms together on top floor, be warned there are no lifts but I was fully aware and this was not an issue for us...
The rooms were very spacious we had 2x 1 bed apartments, a small kitchen area with a microwave, fridge, hob and sink, I only used the fridge. Two beds in the bedroom were very firm but I slept really well. The room I feel could have been cleaned better especially the sink in the bathroom however it was acceptable and I took anti bacterial wipes for peace of mind anyway. The room was only cleaned a couple of times although this was only beds being made and bins being emptied, the floors were not cleaned. There are issues with towels, we had two medium towels and two small hand towels between three of us. The rooms were looking tired with scuffs on the walls and stains on the curtains, however they suited our needs. The food was wonderful for lunch and dinner, so much choice and mostly hot. Themed nights every night, Italian, Chinese, international and traditional roasts on Sunday, delicious selection on meats, veg, salads, soup of the day, pizza freshly made, sauces, pasta salads and chips. Breakfast was also brilliant full fried breakfast along with fresh fruit, yogurts, toasts, pastries, churros and pancakes with chocolate sauce delicious. I did also see fresh jugs of smoothies along with a selection of cheese and hams. Desserts were very good too, but felt it was the same selection each day, I feel some attention is needed here although a wide selection. Self service drinks, sprite, Fanta, water, beer, red and white wine. The wine was nice and my husband said the beer was good too. Coffee machine was very nice. Pool bar was self service, with beer, wine, soft drinks tea and coffee. Food was burger, chips and hotdogs with salad, fresh fruit, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard. Ice cream selection was also delicious. You need to wear a mask in to the pool bar, you also need to wear a mask in the restaurant until you sit down to eat. The pool bar was clean although I felt the food did not look to appealing at times, I did have some chips and my girls certainly enjoyed the food along with the ice cream selection. Staff were very helpful and happy. The lifeguards were very vigilant and were very helpful. The evening entertainment was poor although the hotel had only been open for a week so I guess they were trying to find their feet! The flamenco dancing was good along with bingo and music quiz. Some night it was just very loud music was playing. This does need attention. The entertainment room was small and we felt that if the hotel was full not everyone would get a table. The pools are great but very cold, they 1.5 m all around so could be a bit deep for some. The grounds were well maintained and again the staff were very happy. 10 minute walk to the beach, 2 minute walk to the spar supermarket, bars and restaurants. We were very happy with our stay although some areas need looking at, it is only a 3 star and we felt this was fair for the price we paid. We would definitely visit again.
