This welcoming apartment complex is situated in the leisure centre of Costa Teguise, approximately 600 m from the nearest beach. The hotel is well situated for the public transport network with a stop located just 400 m away. The town centre, which offers plenty of bars, restaurants and a lively nightlife scene, is also within walking distance. Amongst the hotel facilities are a welcoming bar and a restaurant. Guests may park their cars in the hotel's outdoor car park.The simple studios and apartments come with a combined bedroom/living room, a bathroom and a kitchenette with a fridge. The apartments come with an additional separate bedroom. All of them are well-equipped as standard. Guests may make use of the swimming pool and the sun terrace. There is also an entertainment programme to provide some variation.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel is fine it is currently being upgraded. The biggest problem is the amount of people vaping and smoking around the open areas. People are vaping near the restaurant doors and by the pool it’s disgusting. There appears to be no enforcement by the hotel of areas where can do this. People shouldn’t have to breathe other people s vaping!
The hotel - 3/5 stars Food and drinks - food was average, fizzy drinks were flat all the time, beer was awful, cocktails were nice ( although a few times the cocktail maker wasn’t washed from previous cocktail made so didn’t always taste right ) Rooms - weren’t supplied with tea, coffee, milk condiments, also no cups ? But had a kettle. beds - rock hard !! Awful to sleep on Sofa bed - just a single bed that pulls out from under the sofa so you can’t sleep on it as it just slips apart. Pool- lovely pool, nice and clean. States u can’t put your towels down till 10am, but definitely do it before then everyone else did . Staff - Tui staff were fabulous!!! Always getting people involved. The receptionist was quite miserable and didn’t really want to help you. So just go straight to your Tui guide instead. Cleaning staff I couldn’t fault, always had clean room, towels Make sure you book a late check out when you book the holiday and you can’t book them when you’re there if you need one!!
Not as good as people say. Food good. Drinks OK for a 3 star. We had 1 bed linen change in 14 nights. And we know that for a fact because when they changed the bedding on the Thursday my duvet cover had 4 holes in in and 2 small brown stains right in the centre. My first thought was very unprofessional to have holes in the duvet covers but I let it go. The following Thursday when we should have had a bed linen change we came back to our room to find the same duvet on my bed unless they have covers with the same amount of holes and brown stain in several covers in exactly the same place. My wife went to reception to tell them and a guy called allejandro said that could not be right and called her a liar but did say that someone would be there to change the bedding. That never happened. Disgusting. I also confronted allejandro who was totally inadequate for the reception job. I also mentioned to him about the sunbed situation that there were towels out all night , he said I will tell the night person to deal with it but again nothing was done. Forget what it says on the bit of paper they give you when you check in about sunbed saving just get up at 5.30 and grab yours. The restaurant is a canteen so don't be fooled. Staff are great. Security at night is none existent as anyone can walk in to the complex and not be challenged so beware of that. Rubbish place and needs a lot of work like getting rid of the tui rep ha is useless sits in his office or in the canteen eating. Waste of time. Spend your money somewhere else go self catering.
Just returned from an amazing 11 days at the Ficus. Great location, very central with easy access to local shops & the beach. Rooms are air conditioned, spacious, functional & kept spotlessly clean (staff clean 5 out of 7 days) We found the food delicious: there’s something for everyone & if you’re not around when the food is served, they do provide a microwave so no issues there! The staff were all very polite: special shout out to the lovely guy behind the reception bar ( didn’t catch his name, but birthday is Xmas Eve ) also Lilly, great service 💜 The entertainment team are a great asset, Lea is gorgeous and very professional & Juan Jose (JJ ) an amazing young man & hilariously funny 💜 The Ficus is great value for a 3 star: we will return & would definitely recommend. The only negative, if we had to pick one, would be the poolside music: it needs to be updated & not on a constant loop, sorry.
My husband and I had a week at the Suneo Fucus in September. The place id very clean but basic. Apartment was really spacious and a lovely bathroom. Unfortunately the food was very poor for me having coeliac disease. I had emailed hotel and they said they didn't do specific dishes everything would be labelled. This was the case but I had very little choice. The first morning I asked if I could have a slice of gluten free toast and a very helpful lady (sorry didn't catch her name) who went out if her way to even bring out a brand new toaster for me to use as I cannot use anybody else's because if cross contamination. Ste said to ask for it each day although she was off the following day. I did ask but at first no one understood what I was asking for, then I was brought 3 slices of hot bread! I said this wasn't any use. I was then approved by a tall guy who I assumed was in charge and he said there definitely wasn't any toaster for med to use. I could however hire one from reception but they were for people with dietary requirements,(is that not me). He was less understanding and even asked if I could use the microwave in the room???? The choice of everything else basically contained gluten. I lived on salad for most meals, fish when available but not the chicken nuggets, breaded fish pieces, more like the children's section if a cafe! Themed nights again almost always had gluten in them. I purchased some gluten free crispbread at the supermarket and had that for breakfast Ali g with the yoghurt and fruit. You also need to get up very early to grab a sunbed. The die hard are up before 8am putting towels out, sometimes as many as 4 beds in the best spots. I refuse to get caught up in this ridiculous practice, we're on holiday for goodness sake. Hotel states this is not allowed and towels would be removed after 1 hour. This never happened and we had to squash 2 beds in in a corner to get any sun! All in all we still made the most of our holiday by walking to beach every morning and going back to hotel in the afternoon to grab a bit of sun and then going back out each evening to the square which we really enjoyed. It's a shame this hotel doesn't make a few tweaks as it could be so much more.
