Great break

Review by geordieginge Gateshead, United Kingdom

After an absolute nightmare with our Covid test not arriving on time Hotel being closed we finally managed a holiday We transferred our holiday to a later day and different hotel We can definitely say it was worth the stress This is a lovely hotel and although our review is based on a hotel with only 70 people in it would hope it would be as good full The staff are excellent and so helpful and friendly Sami was our favourite but they were all great Ellis the one man animation team was really good getting people involved if you wanted Entertainment at nights varied some really good but felt so sorry for them as the massive area with only a handful of people in was hard for them We went out some nights and enjoyed ourselves although again lack of people Food was good lunch and dinner with meat and fish cooked to order two gals nights in our week which were lovely with waiter service We felt very safe in the hotel and out and about in the resort A different holiday with Covid but a lovely relaxing break only slightly spoilt by finding out mid week that we had to isolate on return

Relaxed visit in excellent location

Review by Derek M Bridgend, United Kingdom

The hotel is in a beautiful location with the sun all day as the hotel is southerly facing. 😎The beach through the gate(opened every hour) is fantastic with very fine sand and safe sheltered water, especially when the tide is out when the rocks form a sheltered lagoon. The animation team on my visit was Ellis. He was a one-man show whose enthusiasm was infectious...

Evening entertainment was strange, there were some very good shows but a couple of acts would have been booed off the stage in any pub in Britain(Queen Tribute Act, Solo girl singer(mimer)).😒 I did not like the dining experience. I felt the one-way system was too complicated and this meant at least two visits before I could sit down and enjoy a meal. The show cooking was slow and the choice and quantity of food were poor towards the end of the visit. This I believe was because at one stage only 35 guests were staying at the hotel.🥗 The public areas have fresh modern furnishing and accessorised with modern paintings and sculptures. The room I stayed in (349) was dated, the varnish on the bamboo style table was worn. One of the draws didn't open. The hotel was perfectly clean. Even the hanging plants got a wipe over while I was there.😉 The in-house maintenance team are quick to respond but I had a leaking toilet cistern that took three visits to fix and the lift was broken and fixed within an hour but later broke down again and they had to get the lift engineers out to fix it. 🚶‍♂️Not to worry the hotel has 4 lifts? I will be staying here again in the new year when hopefully the hotel will have its full complement of staff and guests.😎😎😎😎

Superb

Review by lisaluc falkirk

Stayed for 7 days from 13th November 2nd visit and standards are still excellent. New covid measures in place felt so safe. Food was fab and all the staff in the restaurant friendly and went above and beyond with a smile. Entertainment was great (magic show was awesome) and Elis does a fabulous job of bringing everyone together especially during Mojito making (wish I had the pics lol). We will be back

Anything cooked on the grill is swimming in oil Have to eat out.

Review by LookingtoRelax186411 Leeds, United Kingdom

The hotel itself is lovely. The food, however is not. Such a shame We are here at the moment until 20 December in room 611...

We booked a sea view room and even though the hotel is empty, we were given a room with minimum view at the end of the hotel!!!! We paid £160 to Upgrade to a superior room, when they could have allocated us a room with a nice sea view view, as the hotel has 300 rooms and at the moment their occupancy is 70 guests. Why! Surely, if they want repeat guests , as a gesture of goodwill, put us in a room with virtually no view at all!!!!
