We had a really enjoyable 12-day stay and, aside from our experience with the spa, there was very little we could fault about the hotel.
Our room was good, the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful, and there was always plenty of space around the pool. We also thought the food and drinks were good throughout our stay.
The location is excellent. It’s only a short walk to the beach and into the main square in Costa Teguise, where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and evening entertainment.
A particular mention has to go to the entertainment team, who were brilliant with the kids and really added to their holiday.
The one significant negative was the spa. We booked an expensive treatment towards the end of our stay and unfortunately the quality was poor. We raised our concerns with the hotel and were advised that the spa is operated by a separate company and that we would need to take the matter up with them directly. We did this, but found their customer service and response to our concerns very disappointing.
Although the spa is separately operated, it is a service offered to hotel guests and formed part of our overall experience, so it feels important to mention it here. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding the spa.
Aside from this, we had a very good experience at the hotel and would happily recommend it.
We stayed here for 9 days this summer and had a pleasant time. Location - fantastic, close to beach, bars, restaurant & water park. Rooms - this is what lets it down in my opinion, the beds were 2 singles put together on wheels and were uncomfortable. The air con was noisy. Sheets are not changed and cleaning minimal. Amenities - nice buffet restaurant and can order food fresh from the snack bar. Good range of drinks, would be nice if did a rose cava as well as white. Pools were ok, various depths but due to size no floaties are allowed. 2 main slides available. Staff are mostly pleasant and work hard. Entertainment- the animation team work hard and my daughter really like Diago. Just a shame some of the activities are repeated, this is an area that could improve in my opinion for those staying more than a week. Overall we had a lovely stay but not sure would return.
We had such a good stay and home to return!
Pros
Cons (not many!)
These are me being picky- we had a great week and hope to return
This was our 5th visit to the newly refurbished H10 Lanzarote gardens and we can confirm we are still in love with the place. We were even joined by our friends this time who enjoyed it as much as we did. The resort is fully wheelchair accessible and even has a hoist chair into the pool. The team went above and beyond this year by organising a raised bed for me to sleep on as every other year I have struggled standing from the lower bed. Also discovering wheelchair users can reserve a sunbed was another plus. The food was always of a good standard, I just wished they advertised what was on the menu a bit better. The only grumble of the week was some staff resorted to using pre made cocktail syrups when making cocktails which were disgusting so we made sure we were served by the more experienced bar staff to guarantee a better cocktail. We look forward to seeing you next year.
Returned from 10 day holiday on Tuesday. Overall we had a good stay. I went with my family, 5 adults 3 children 8 and under. Accommodation was good, We had refurbished suites. Children slept in the main room and beds were comfortable. My real complaint was that there is only one bar serving drinks during the day. Queues were 10 people long and wait times could be 25+ minutes. . I had two conversations with deputy man about this and although the hotel tried some measures to improve the service, it didn’t change. In my opinion the bar is not big enough as only two bar staff can work it. Need at least 3 at the busy times. This would put me off returning to this hotel. Toilets by reception are not good enough for 4* hotel. Food was good but very repetitive.
