Hotel Los Zocos Impressive Lanzarote is located close to Las Cucharas Beach in Costa Teguise. It has accommodation of suites and family suites ideal for a family holiday. It is completely renovated in 2016 and has a total of 324 suites with one to two separate bedrooms, a living area with a kitchenette with 2-ring ceramic hob, microwave, electric kettle and fridge. The safe is available to rent. All have furnished Balcony or Terrace. The modern suites have air conditioning/heating system (depending on season), bathroom with shower or bath plus flat screen TV with national and international channels.
The Resort consists of 3 blocks of suites separated from each other by a large area of subtropical gardens and two large areas of 5 swimming pools for adults and children, one of them acclimatized plus a lane pool for swimmers.
For the little ones there is a Mini Club and an entertainment program.
It has 2 buffet-style restaurants, El Mirador and El Boulevard, offering national and international cuisine. You can also book a dinner at the Italian Restaurant. (one visit per 7 days stay on all inclusive) Guests have the possibility to upgrade to our premium services that guarantees access to Premium Bar and Sunbeds area and consumption of premium brand drinks plus premium extras added to your suite. At night they offer a varied entertainment program, accompanied with drinks at El Galeón cocktail bar and Aguamarina nightclub.
In addition, they offer Wi-Fi Internet access, Internet Corner in reception (payable locally) , 2 tennis courts and an Astroturf multisport court. There is free outdoor parking and you have the Beauty Center for a relaxing massage or beauty treatment (payable locally).
Spend the day on the private beach or dip into one of the 6 outdoor swimming pools. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, an arcade/games room and gift shops/newsstands.
The hotel rooms are pretty standard and all equipped with a kitchenette, which does come in handy as the food is very repetitive and underwhelming. Usually when catering for large numbers there will be one chief special to change things up but not here unfortunately.
On booking I was told they did not do premium bookings it was all inc. That wasn't true and although there are no pirks for kids you still have to upgrade them too at a price of £30pp per day.
I would stay clear of the spirits as they really do give you stomach issues, even in small quantities so my advice is buy branded from the local stores.
Evening entertainment is really lacking energy and talent although the team do try. Another point to make is the animation team put a few activities on in the afternoon for kids. They won't allow parents to join in which does detract from family bonding quite a bit if you do actually enjoy playing with your kids.
I wouldn't come back here as all in all it was very expensive and not a lot, if any of it impressed. We all had enough after a week. I think we have been spoiled with much higher quality resorts in playa blanca where they pay attention to detail and really try and make your holiday an experience.
Another thing to note is we all noticed a change in atmosphere compared to previous years too. Some shops just rude and would not serve us, market stalls making it clear they did not want our custom. Food literally thrown together on the plate, a real eff off vibe going on.
We found everything really good as we have done in the past 5 years The pool is cold when you first enter but not cold enough not to use. Everywhere was spotless clean and the restaurant food accommodated for everybody. There was always pizza and chips for children along with plenty of meat vegetable and other potatoes at every meal
Lovely hotel thought it was luxury with a lovely reception until we opened our room door and what a let down it was very basic and really not what I expected stayed in other hotel at CT and rooms were much nicer . Food was ok but snack bar really let it down food was disappointing why not add nice fresh rolls and cold meats as well as junk food . Pools lovely and clean . Now for the beds they were rock hard and this ruined my stay as I ached all over from such poor quality mattress think the worst bed I’ve ever slept on !! Not enough seating outside to have a drink at night with friends and family . 15 of us altogether we worked out about £ 22,000 we paid for our holiday not sure if it was worth it. Entertainment is rubbish and room was so hot and over crowded cocktails were sweet artificial rubbish ended up going out to a lovely cocktail bar for decent cocktails and spent €300 + euros for our group which added on to the cost of the holiday .
Overall amazing stay. Food was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. The animation team are fab and put on great entertainment during the day and at night. The hotel is in a great area with the beach only 5 minutes away and loads of nice bars and restaurants around.
Excellent hotel, good amenities, staff friendly food good, room was perfect and maintained very well. We enjoyed the gym, tennis courts and the pool, especially the lane pool. We chose a perfect time to arrive as is was not too busy and not too many children, coming back at Christmas.
