This family-friendly apartment complex lies in the tourist district of Puerto del Carmen just 300 metres from Playa Matagorda. The resort centre is 3 km away, where guests will discover many shopping and entertainment venues. Links to the public transport network are to be found directly in front of the complex. This fabulous complex has many facilities, including a reception desk, a supermarket, a snack bar and an air-conditioned restaurant. The tastefully decorated, modern apartments each come with an en suite bathroom with a shower and modern amenities. They also come with a kitchenette, making it ideal for those who enjoy cooking their meals. In the well-kept outdoor complex guests will find a swimming pool and a poolside snack bar as well as sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. Guests may relax in the sauna or play a round of tennis.

Absolutely fantastic holiday – we loved everything! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We absolutely loved our stay at Ilunion Costa Sal Lanzarote. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and all of the staff were incredibly professional, friendly, kind and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they always made us feel welcome. We absolutely loved the pool area, and our apartment was fantastic. It was spacious, comfortable, beautifully presented and had everything we needed. We were genuinely amazed by the quality and features of the apartment. The location was also perfect for us. The beach was close by, as were shops and plenty of restaurants, so everything was within easy reach. We honestly never expected to have such an amazing holiday, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I genuinely cannot think of a single bad thing to say about this hotel, even if I wanted to! We would happily come back and would absolutely recommend Ilunion Costa Sal Lanzarote to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly and relaxing place to stay. Thank you to the whole team for making our holiday so special. We loved it! ❤️
Disappointed
The exterior of the hotel is good. Pool, reception, restaurant, location all ok. The room however was very disappointing. Advertised as 4 star, I would say more like 2 star. Black grout, broken tiles, mould, dust a blocked shower plug just some of the things we encountered. We also had to ant infestations. We opened our wardrobe on day 2 and there was an army of ants, crawling all over our clothes and all over the wardrobe. After calling reception the maintenance man came, after an hour and killed all the ants with a spray. Whilst looking in the wardrobe I noticed a horrible smell and found a cigarette packet with 2 half smoked cigarettes inside which stunk our apartment out. A couple of days later I noticed more ants on the bed and bedside tables only to discover another ant invasion on the floor under our window and in our cases which were on the floor. The room just wasn't clean either even though the cleaners came every couple of days. I expected more from the money we paid and would not stay in this hotel again.
Another great holiday
Just back following our 4th trip in 5 years to Costa Sal. We had booked a two bedroom bungalow this time and got a nice surprise with a complimentary upgrade to a two bed villa. Such a difference with more outdoor space and we could just there until after 6 in the evening. I don’t know how I am going to return without booking one of these in future.
Costa Sal for us is the perfect complex. Very clean and grounds are immaculate. No sunbed wars is another plus as you cannot put any towels down until after 9. We mostly used the bottom pool as kids feel that is deeper and warmer and there were days were sunbeds were still available after lunch. You will always get the ones who reserve and never come back all day but no issue as usually plenty available.
We were self catering so never ate there. Local supermarkets within 5-10 mins walk as well as plenty of bars and restaurants. We got taxis or the bus into PDC on a few occasions for dinner.
We also got the bus outside to the open mall and it is so handy. Tried a few new restaurants this time and was disappointed in one in particular that is currently got queues outside every time I go on TikTok. Not worth it in my opinion. First time in Fariones Grill since take over and as lovely as ever.
Fufu is great for a Chinese and only 15 mins walk. The family that own it are superb hosts and food is beautiful.
We were out for 10 days and had glorious weather the whole time. Hopefully be back next year. You spend that much on holidays and see so many people having complaints that I think why take the chance going elsewhere. Just book what you like even if it is the same place.

Very disappointed
We have been going to this Hotel complex for the pasted 20 years, unfortunately this year was a big let down. Staff were still lovely and friendly and very welcoming. The pool aloud people to play ball, and my granddaughter got hit in the face twice. Cleanliness of the apartment was very poor I sorry to say. We are very disappointed as we love the area of Matagorde.☹️
Amazing Holiday
Just rerurned from a 2 week stay here and i cant fault the place. Hotel rooms are exceptionally large. We were in room 204 which over looked the pool and had an amazing sea view. The hotel, surrounding gardens and pool areas are kept exceptionally clean. The location is absolutely ideal and is a 5 - 10 min stroll to the beach and nearest bars and restuarant. Main puerto del carmen centre is only a 30 - 40 min walk away or its 5 euro in the taxi. All reception staff we dealt with were very helpful and friendly. Cant comment on the food as we didnt eat here but from what we saw, looked very nice. Main pool area lovely and theres no fight for sunbeds in the morning as procedures are in place which is good. We were sad to leave the place and we will definately be going back.
