Clean, great staff, great time

Review by charlottef32 Hayes, United Kingdom

I've stayed at a couple of H10 hotels now and White Suites is very similar to their other offerings in the Canary Islands. Kind, polite and efficient staff, basic but nice and clean rooms and clean pools. The decor of the hotel is lovely and the food is tasty buffet food...

Top tip which I don't think many people staying here realise - if you're half board, you can swap your dinner instead for lunch at the Bamboo restaurant. Me and my partner love to explore and try the local restaurants in the evening, so this suited us! The hotel is also in a great location, approximately a ten minute walk to the seafront with the various shops, restaurants and bars. I would recommend staying here. I've deducted one mark for the number of sunbeds. We had one day in particular where the hotel must have been busy and several people could not get a sunbed at approx 9:30am. The hotel blamed it on people reserving sunbeds, but regardless of this there were still not enough to go around. Other than this minor point, I would really recommend this hotel. Its affordable yet extremely nice. Well done H10!

H10 white suites

Review by karenbE3583FZ

Sun bed night mare..at white suites now.holiday should be put towels down enjoy the rest of the day. But NO. There is not enough sunbeds for occupancy ...

Causing major issues. Causing major anxiety. People arguing around pool. Not what you want on your holiday. Not what I paid for. This was not cheap holiday. The hotel should have enough sun beds for everyone. There is plenty of space. BUT they don't. This has ruined my relaxing holiday. I've been holidaying around the world never had these issues. Adults only, boutique, what a joke.

disappointing

Review by kendU2716SE

Not up to H10 standard. The food was luke warm and very badly cooked. There were not enough sun beds - all reserved from early morning Everything was on the hotel app, eg menus, drinks, activities Why not put notices outside or in reception? Outside the rooms there was a skip and unsightly store room with no door...

No spa pool nor second restaurant. Various nationalities had the same opinion as us and would not visit again. Tables not cleared so not cleaned. 3* at most. However, the staff were very good and worked very hard. Riccardo (animation) was brilliant. I think a lot of the problems were because they were short staffed.

Hit the spot once again

Review by Geoff07 Penwortham, United Kingdom

Well done to everyone at the white suites for once again, making our stay so welcoming. It was lovely to see so many of the pre Covid staff still working at the hotel. ( Albeit behind a dreadful mask). Thank you for all your attention and hopefully next time we will have the pleasure of seeing your lovely faces xx

Made to feel unwelcome

Review by anona329

Have only been here a few days but already trying to book flights home. The hotel itself is nice, small but with adequate facilities (although pools are smaller than pictures make out). The rooms, whilst modern in design are tired and are in need of a refresh, as is the paintwork around the pool...

The restaurant is again small, and the food options are limited but the food is well cooked and they are good with dietary requirements. The bars have a great selection of drinks included in the All Inclusive, and the menus are clear about what is and isn’t included. Now here is why we are trying to leave early: SUN BEDS. You are clearly told at check in not to reserve sun beds, fantastic, people who reserve at 6am and then don’t turn up until 5 hours later are annoying and should have their towels removed. HOWEVER, currently the staff at the hotel are removing towels in a militant fashion, you can come down at 7:30am and sit on your sun bed for an hour enjoying the cool quiet morning, but don’t even think about leaving to go for breakfast, or even the toilet unless you have someone still with your sun beds as they will be removed, well if you’re British that seems to be the case, I have personally witnessed couples (non British) reserving and leaving for at least an hour and a half in the morning and throughout the day and have their towels left alone. We disappeared for 15 minutes and the pool staff were approaching our beds to remove our belongings. But the hotel assure me “all guests are treated equal” hmmm I think not. You would think that this issue with the sun beds would be restricted to the morning, well no, you want to go for lunch? Forget it. A trip to the bar? Not as a couple you can’t. Even going into the pool causes the staff to come over and start watching your sun bed ready to remove your things. As an all inclusive guest I don’t really feel able to make the most of it as I fear my things being removed. I wouldn’t consider using a sun bed for the entire morning and then trying to go and have lunch in the hotel restaurant as reserving, it’s just normal holiday sun bed use. It’s made us feel incredibly unwelcome and on edge, when raising these issues with the hotel they say “well you could go separately to breakfast” so much for a relaxing holiday with loved ones. There is a clear hierarchy of guests here, and as you can guess if you’re a Brit you’re at the bottom of the pile.
