Circus right beside the hotel

There is a circus directly behind our room. It’s starts at 5pm and does not finish until midnight. I tried repeatedly to make context with the hotel management about it but they kept avoiding us.

H10 white suites

Just got back from our second visit to white suites and again can't praise the staff enough. Rooms are great the evening entertainment fab. The wide variety of meals always somthing different to choose. I would rate this hotel 10/10.

Even better than last year!

Another fantastic stay at White Suites! My daughter and I stayed at this hotel last year and had such a wonderful time, we returned this year to celebrate my Mums 70th birthday and we did not regret it! We paid for superior rooms because we love the access to the private solarium and pool. On arrival we were upgraded to deluxe rooms next door each other, which was a bonus as the hotel appeared to be full. It’s the extra touches at this hotel we love! Cava on arrival, welcome drinks, mini bar and chocolates. Cava delivered to Mums room on her birthday and we got to eat in the à la carte Italian restaurant on site. All the staff are super friendly and the entertainment top notch, even better than last year!

Very Disappointing

This review is my honest opinion from my and my wife’s personal experience from our recent visit to H10 White Suites in Playa Blanca. Other people may have different experiences/opinions.

1- Room looked like it was in need of refurbishment/update. View from balcony waste land/car park used to park fairground travellers on. (Picture)

2- Room servicing- very poor standard of cleaning obvious by mirrors and shower left for multiple days, parts of floor feeling dirty, balcony not cleaned. No toilet roll left one day, no milk cartons left two days, dirty towels removed with no replacements left one day, which after reporting this at reception was met with no apology, only informing me they would let their colleague know. 45 minutes later someone brought some.
Arrived back at room on last night after going out to watch the football. My wife saw quite a few ants near bedside wall light so using some toilet paper I began to kill them. Realised there seemed to be more down the wall so moved the bed to find thousands all over wall and skirting (App won’t allow me to upload videos so I have tried to show on screenshots but it doesn’t really represent the actual bast number if ants especially as I was that shocked at the time at how many there was and how quickly they were scattering in all directions). Clearly not an overnight thing. I went down to reception to report it and showed the guy a video I had took. He suggested we may have dropped some food behind the bed but we had had no food in the room or near the bed. It was obvious the bed had not been moved for a long time to clean behind as it was an infestation. He said he would give us another room (156) to sleep in and move our stuff in the morning. He came up to let us in to the new room and reluctantly had a quick look in the old room where the ants were. After 1-30am we got into new bed and struggled to get to sleep thinking about it. We felt sick at the thought we had slept all week just above this. Next morning(day we are due to leave) we moved the rest of our stuff to the new room for the last few hours stay, shaking and checking everything for ants. Went for breakfast, calling at reception on way to let them know we had cleared out of the room. Asked if it was possible to extend room for couple of hours because of time spent moving etc just to give us a chance to get sorted and prepared properly for journey home. Bluntly told we had to be out by 12, no offer of any other alternative.

3- 99% of restaurant staff clearly hate their job and are quite ignorant: show no courtesy, for example when you are moving from buffet carrying your food, they just barge past. Very often zero acknowledgement when you say thank you or when collecting dirty plates. Woman serving eggs seriously miserable and ignorant. Hygiene questionable, one waitress ‘spray’ sneezed multiple times and did not cover up or wash her hands, just continued to serve. Crockery not clean. Food, in particular dinner, was a bit hit and miss with probably 50% of the stay ok, 50% poor, as in cold/bland/uninspiring. Crockery also not thoroughly cleaned(photo).

4- Why do hotels(not just this one to be fair) say they will not tolerate people leaving towels unattended on sun loungers from early morning to selfishly reserve them unused for hours on end, if it isn’t actually going to be enforced? Bad enough as well that loungers are squashed together with not enough space in between in some areas making it uncomfortable to relax. Needless to say the ‘prime/roomier’ areas were often left ‘reserved’ by the usual narcissistic suspects.

5- Although we didn’t personally witness it, a couple from Liverpool who we had spoken to at various times during the holiday told us on the last day as we were waiting for the coach that the pool toilets had been overflowing and running towards the pool.

6- Overall, our impression of this hotel, like others we spoke to, was that it in no way should he be regarded as four star, mainly due to the rooms being bit shabby but worse was the cleaning and attitude of most of the staff. Disappointing and certainly put off the H10 brand if this is typical. As it happens I filled in the hotel’s own extensive survey they provided on the day we checked out but as of yet have heard absolutely nothing, not even an acknowledgement of receipt while they may have looked into my observations. Obviously don’t appreciate any criticism, happy to continue with the same standards.

Not for me

Hotel was clean and staff were really helpful and friendly. I just found this hotel wasn’t for me unfortunately. They did have small sections of entertainment, but I felt that most of this was very dated. It was just singers really. The food - salad option was very good. The hot food wasn’t the best and ended up eating out most nights. I tried to eat lunch but was put off when I couldn’t cut mushrooms as they were so tough. I have literally never had an issue with cutting a mushroom before. A couple of the plates had dried food on them and weren’t clean. I asked for a glass of chocolate milk and had a mouthful, but had to spit it back in the cup as it tasted sour. I took it back and the lady tried it and she had to spit it in the sink too. She showed me it was in date, but when pouring it down the sink after we both could clearly see it was off and lumpy. She did apologise though. The bed rule got brought in near the end of our stay where towels were removed at 9am when most were just in having breakfast. I get it for those that go out for the day but not if just popping for breakfast. I did find this amusing though and was the best entertainment when people were coming back and kicking off. They were saying that they now had less pegs than when they left their towels. Lunch at the pool bar was the better option. I spoke to an older man who even said he had come for all inclusive, but had eaten out at the Chinese one night and Indian another night as the food was terrible. The Dolce Vita restaurant was nice, but only one visit per week. The pools were nice and plenty of sunbeds, the rooms could do with a bit of decorating as just feels like a basic room. This hotel just isn’t for me as is for older people who like to fall asleep around the pool and relax. When they had the odd singer on there was no enthusiasm from anyone. It was an another review stated for an older demographic and has a care home vibe.
