Awful hotel

Review by Emelize1514

3/5 Arrived at the hotel around 3 paid a €60 deposit for a tv remote and 2 towels for the sun beds. Got to the bungalow was spacious however the main bedroom is 2 single beds pushed together. Went to dinner and it wasn’t nice at all hardly any choice and was cold...

That’s our first night. Woke up and went down to the pool for there to be no sun beds at 9am even though a notice says no reserving sun beds. Breakfast was awful was the first and last time we had it dreadful and cold. We went off to the aqua lava waterpark which I highly recommend small but enjoyable. Went back to the hotel for dinner which was a lot better as it was a themed night Indian, however I am asthmatic and have severe anxiety so wearing a mask is really stressful and effects my breathing, I am medically exempt and have a badge to prove that a few staff asked me to put a mask on but then I showed them the badge and they understood and was fine, however on our 4th night I went down to dinner and was asked to put a mask on I showed my badge and the waiter said no more until 10 minutes after when me and my partner were eating our dinner he came over and asked for my room number, so I told him however my partner asked why and he was rudely ignored we then thought nothing of it however my partner and me were not happy that he asked for our room number so we went back and spoke to him and he told us to go to reception so we did. To be told anyone can have the badge I had and that I need a medical certificate however I have tried several times to get a medical certificate but GPs aren’t giving them out I explained that and she was rude and very abrupt telling me I need to wear a mask me and my partner left and went back to our bungalow researched and no where on the Spanish guidelines or Lanzarote guidelines does it say a medical certificate is required. I feel very let down by the hotel and the facilities this is definitely not a 4* hotel I would say 3* max especially because a lot of premium charges for extra cocktails that aren’t with cheap alcohol and all inclusive is only till 11pm not to mention dinner is only served 18-21 and after that there is no option for food. It’s a shame to write this review as we had a pleasant experience with another receptionist she was helpful and really friendly just a shame 2 staff members ruin our experience and make me extremely anxious and uncomfortable.

Great holiday

Review by bazza1976 Gillingham, United Kingdom

Great place, good food, good drinks. We arrived at about 12:00 midday and checked in but was told our room wasn’t ready until 15:00. We was a bit gutted as we had been traveling for many hours...

But we was allowed to start using the all-inclusive, it’s was very annoying that we had to stay in the clothes we had traveled in. But once we got our room all was good. They are lovely rooms with breathtaking views and very clean and tidy. We got changed straight away and went down to the pool, we couldn’t get a sun bed but at that time we wasn’t bothered. At dinner time we went to the main restaurant and the food was of good quality and there was something for everyone. We drunk at the pool bar that evening and the drinks were good with a lot of choices. The next day I was up early about 07:00 and when I looked down at the pool I saw that a lot of the sun beds were gone. So going forward it’s early morning starts to get a sun bed. So all in all would I return yes yes yes. And I would recommend.

Weeks break in the sun 🌞

Review by nich0lle Whitstable, United Kingdom

We arrived at about 1pm to be told our rooms would be ready by 3pm but go for lunch, use the pool bar, we were all inclusive,. We paid 60€ deposit for pool towels, tv remote and air conditioning remote, which is refunded when you hand them back.Rooms were lovely, very clean, maid came in to make beds, fresh towels etc. Pool area was lovely, pool wasn’t the cleanest, no probs getting a sun bed, music played 10-6...

Food we thought was nice, plenty of choice not repeated meals, children’s meals too. Pool bar was nice and evening entertainment was there too, which is understandable as it’s outside with COVID still around. It wasn’t brilliant but at least they did something. We found all nationalities at the hotel who were all very friendly. We only went as a last minute booking and it did us nicely. Town 10min walk but there is a shuttle bus as well. Lovely family place and would defo recommend it for family’s but as 2 couples we would probably go somewhere else in the future. All in all a lovey relaxed break just as we’d planned and it was also very hot which we love ☀️

Not great

Review by robpilsworth1969 Cambridge, United Kingdom

We arrived here mid morning only to be told that our room was not available till 3pm not a good start. We then had to put down a 60 euro deposit for the tv remote control, 2 pool towels and the room keys. Got to the room and was nice. Pool I didn’t see get tested or cleaned sand in also water not clear to me looking not to clean also edge of pool black as it had not been cleaned...

No slides here as advertised by love holiday this is its sister hotel for which if you want to go you will have to pay an extra 10 euros per person. Breakfast okay as was lunch but very basic food as for the evening food terrible very poor and as a result we ate out every night!! Evening entertainment basic as best described again very poor. We will not return to this hotel and I would not recommend it either

All round perfect family stay!!

Review by S8228CDadamh

We came to HL Club Playa Blanca for a quick weeks holiday as a family of 5… the 2 boys been 10 & 9 enjoyed theirselves all week, our girl who’s 13 also really enjoyed it, my partner and i couldn’t of asked for any better service in a holiday resort, my partner is pregnant also so less stress the better, which Samuel the receptionist made sure we all was unstressed and perfectly comfortable, he really does deserve so much credit, the guy was more than helpful on a good few occasions, 10/10 service to him, he really is a credit to the hotel. All the staff are polite and friendly the foods pretty decent also. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people if you want a nice little family break!! Thanks for our stay!! Aimee & Adam x
