This spacious complex is located at the heart of the trendy tourist area of Playa Blanca, a charming fishing village to the south of Lanzarote. The complex enjoys close proximity to a wealth of attractions in the area, including Costa de Papagayo and El Golfo. The hotel is situated just 400 metres away from Playa Dorada Beach, and the luxurious Marina Rubicon. This wonderful complex blends effortlessly with its charming surroundings. The accommodation options are superbly designed, offering a peaceful, relaxed setting in which to escape the rest of the world. This complex's exemplary service, first-class facilities and peaceful, homely atmosphere sets it apart as a prime option for visitors to the area.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Very basic hotel considering what we paid for sn all inclusive holiday, food was not standard basic and cold! Im not the one to write reviews but it has to be said. Pool gad lots of broken parts on the wall inside which I cut myself on few occassions. The pool area itself needed a good pressure wash. Rooms basic and could be cleaned better. Entertainment well im still waiting to see some, feel for the families with young children with nothing to keep them entertained. Reception staff and the young ladies on crepe truck and pool var were friendly and helpful. The pool men were ignorant, the supermark on site needed good renovation an restock with goods. Unless you like samiguel don't bother going all inclusive. All in all it was relaxed holiday and if the above could improve thus hotel could be 4* at the moment i would rate as2* at the most.
This is my first time ever doing a review but I feel like I needed to share my experience here.
Just back from 10 nights with my husband & 2 children (14 &11).
We had a great time. Summary below:
Sunbeds Although on the first morning we couldnβt get a sunbed, we asked the lifeguard and he had no hesitation in calling the maintenance guys to get some extra ones out & they even helped me place them.
Every other morning, we got a sunbed on our way to breakfast and we arenβt early risers - it was normally about 8.30am/9am.
Pool The pool area was lovely, not busy and very enjoyable. We always found the lifeguards to be friendly (despite limited English) and they were very good at keeping kids who felt the need to climb onto the fountain in the middle of the pool in check.
Rooms Very spacious and clean with a lovely outside area.
I have read a few reviews about the pull out sofa bed only being a few inches off the floor - note this bed has legs to make it a proper bed. We didnβt realise the first night - until the maid showed us π
Food This was the biggest let down for us, we were all inclusive & the buffet restaurant was not the best but still we managed to eat.
Entertainment Nothing to say here other than there isnβt really much!
Overall, we didnβt feel the hotel was 5 star compared to others weβve stayed in but we still had a great time
Just back from 7nights AI at the Thb royal Two adults 12year old and 16 year old And I can say we had a fantastic time Nice staff . Food was great .great choice for everyone . Pools are brilliant. Cleaned daily Not rowdy nice and quiet . No sunbed wars . Great pool attendant . Drinks were perfect . Air con in room . Spacious rooms. And balcony overlooking pool Rooms were cleaned daily . Nice location 10-15 mins walk to beach and marina Weather was superb . Evening entertainment was a bit meh but we were fine with that just nice to chill and have a drink . If you are looking to have some nice peace and quiet I can honestly not fault the place One down side if any was WiFi was a bit hit and miss . I would definitely return Well done the royal π
I visited this hotel at the end of July with my 3 sons. Overall thought the room was fine, clean and there was fresh towels everyday except for Sunday. Didnβt think much to the sofa bed. The pull out bed was about 5inches off the floor. However my son said it was comfortable so I did not say anything. Air conditioning needs to be in both rooms. The location of our room was brilliant right next to the second pool which was perfect for us. Sunbed situation was not the best. For a hotel with so many rooms there was not enough sunbeds for all guests. There is a notice saying you couldnβt reserved your sunbeds however this rule was not followed, on several occasions my son got up before 6am to find majority of sunbeds had been reserved. Food was ok - found breakfast better than the evening meal, my sons enjoyed the pizza. Could do with a few more kid options, as it was a bit boring after a few days. Playa Blanca was about a 10 minute walk plenty of restaurant to choose from. There was an Aldi a few minutes away so that was handy as we was half board. Overall the hotel was ok, like a few other people have said I donβt think it was 4 stars, however we had a nice time. Last thing I would say would be to try and accommodate late check, I asked and was told it could not be done, as the hotel was too busy. Think it would have made our last day far better.
TUI are over selling this hotel as a 4 star. Have just returned from a family holiday (4 adults, 1 child) and we were all glad this was only for 1 week. This review is just a brief overview.
Booked all inclusive. Never have i been at an all inclusive hotel were you have to buy your 1st bottle of water then refill from water fountains found around the hotel.
Sunbeds are not available unless you put your towel out the night before. This is not prevented or monitored by staff. There is not enough umbrellas to provide shelter.
As for the pool, children warned by life guards to be careful on edge as it can cut you! Also several injuries to people's feet due to the gravel that was being swept to the edges of the pool base.
Bar at night under staffed. Only 1 person serving leading to very long queues.
Not a 10 minute walk to the beach. Anyone with mobility problems will struggle. The fact that this hotel runs a shuttle bus to the beach (only twice daily) tells you that it is not.
Complaints about the hotel and service were openly being discussed around the pool with people stating they would be complaining when they got home.
I generally don't write reviews as they are very much a persons opinion but the disappointment experienced with this holiday and the ignoring of TUI with our complaint has lead me to post this as I do not want anyone else to waste their money.
