Nice hotel.

Review by stevie1980 Bradford, United Kingdom

Overall not a bad place, we visited as a couple. Large complex with lots of pools, the two main pools are NOT heated and are freezing cold. The smaller pools are heated...

Approx 15min walk down to the beach, which is lovely but sea is also freezing. Sun beds and parasol are €4 each. Hotel does a free bus to the beach also. We went AI but had a large self catering apartment with kitchenette which was lovely. Breakfast has everything you’d expect and was nice, we ate lunch at the snack bar, burgers, hotdogs, salads etc. evening meal again nice, plenty of choice. Wine and beer is self serve which is good. Pool area is clean and really nice gardens. Plenty of shops and bars etc just a small walk away. Reasonably priced hotel. Approx 30mins drove from airport. And weather during our stay was lovely. 25 degrees every day.

Excellent hotel

Review by chrisbG3726BG Kingston-upon-Hull, United Kingdom

I'm staying here at the moment and having a lovely holiday. The accommodation is very spacious (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living space and large balcony). The food is excellent with a huge choice of healthy options as well as naughty-but-nice items...

The staff are all helpful and friendly. I'm not sure I need anything else. The experience is excellent.

Great week - well worth the visit. Great value.

We have just left this hotel after a 7 night stay, all inclusive. We are a family of 6 and stayed in 2 one bed apartments with a pool view. The rooms worked well...

The sofa bed converts into two singles and here is a king size or two singles in the bedroom.

The pool right outside the apartments is heated with a hot tub size pool that’s even warmer. You are allowed inflatables in all the pools so if you are thinking of getting one, buy before you fly a expensive once here.

Rooms cleaned each day and towels changed on a regular basis. You can get free pool towels for a €10 deposit which you can change every day.

The main pools are great fun, but freshwater so is cold this time of year when you first get in. Splashing around, up and down the slides and then swimming keeps you more than warm.

The adult only area is lovely, really peaceful and a great place for lane swimming or grabbing drinks without having queue at the pool bar. I only realised this short cut halfway through but worked great when taking drinks back to the pool by the rooms. The sun-beds are lovely here.

The food was a lot better than I expected. The main restaurants (2 big areas either side of the complex) didn’t feel crowded and served a wide selection of freshly prepared food at the main mealtimes. The pool bar served a wide variety of snacks but mainly burgers; nuggets and hot dogs, and salads for those wanted less calories. With 4 children this was a great move. The Ice cream is local varieties and not include of ice lollies.

Facilities were great. Played plenty of tennis and football with equipment that can be hired for a small deposit from the reception. Our children took part in some of the daytime activities which were on each day.

The evening entertainment was good, once you had missed the children disco at 8:30 pm each night. This change each evening and was inside so no worry re cold evenings.

The beach is about half a mile walk from the bottom entrance to the resort. The beach was lovely and you can hire peddalos; jet skis and banana boats with ease.

Playa Blanca itself was nice to visit for a change of scenery but even better for a morning run to keep the all inclusive pound off the body!!!!

Loved our stay here

Review by Michelle D Haile, United Kingdom

As a family we loved our stay here. €40 in a taxi from the airport Beds really comfy...fridge(no freezer), kettle, toaster, microwave and hob in rooms. (Tip take some pegs to hold washing down on balcony) We went self catering so cant comment on food but kids loved the snack bar for lunch and the hot dogs all very reasonably priced if your Self catering...

Staff were really helpful..had a few issues with wifi in first few days but quickly sorted.

We arrived at 11am and you cant check in until 3pm so we just put a bag of clothes in top of our suitcase so we could enjoy the facilities straight away! .

Supermarket on site that stocks most basics that you will need.

We will definitely return for and would opt for a ground floor pool room which is handier for the kids to chill in the room if they want to.

The main kids pool was too cold for our kids but they preferred the smaller pools outside the room. We spent most of the days at the hotel pools which we dont normally do but there was plenty of options where to sit etc.

Playa Dorado beach has sun loungers and parasols at €4 per bed/parasol and there is a complimentary shuttle bus x2 a day to here.

Hotel located 10/15 min walk from Playa Blanca or €4 in a taxi which is easy. Lots of places to eat/drink/shop in Playa Blanca and a taxi rank to catch a taxi back. Rubicon Marina is also nice for a night out with restaurants etc and again only €4 in taxi.

Lovely facilities but let down by quality of food and friendliness of staff

Review by 748callumr Wakefield, United Kingdom

We stayed here for a week all inclusive as a family of four over the Easter holidays. The hotel facilities are great - nice apartments, loads of pools, kids playgrounds. It was advertised as a 4 star but felt more like a 3.5 star...

The food was very repetitive and there was very little difference between lunch and dinner - dinner had a bit more choice but the food was the same. Pork is on the menu everyday and there was only chicken breast once in the week. One night was burgers and hotdogs which is fine for lunchtime but you don’t expect that on an evening. The desserts were basically in repeat every day. The homemade pizza’s were good and pancakes were on every night. They have a grill on each lunch time and evening where you can get fresh fish and meat, including kebabs some nights (albeit pork), but again this seemed to be pork most days. The standard portion was one piece and somethings the chef seemed put out when you asked for more than one piece.

The bar and snack bars always had large queues as there was only one member of staff which wasn’t enough at peak times. Sometimes you would be queueing for 15 mins. Also, there wasn’t anywhere to fill up water bottles as the restaurants had signs up informing you to not fill up bottles for hygiene reasons.

If you’re looking for a decent week away then this hotel is reasonable but don’t expect much from the food. Having stayed at H10 hotels in Lanzarote this hotel is definitely not the same standard however it could get there with improvements.
