This resort is a great place to just chill and relax in. The room was comfortable and the staff at Casas Heddy cannot be faulted, so friendly and very helpful they couldn't do enough for me. It is about just under a ten minute walk to the main resort in the old town and port of Puerto del Carmen which was ok...
The breakfast catered for everyone really and runs from 8am to 10am which was great. I would definitely recommend this place its a bit of a hidden gem, and I would definitely return here if visiting the island again.
Voluntary trim sessions every day and physiotherapy available on request. Superb walk&rollin/out swimming pool, temp round 28 degrees.Service very friendly and helpful. My only negative comment is the the somewhat bland and sometimes unappealing supper menu.
Had a wonderful week away here Was very quiet considering it was half term.
Met lots of lovely people from Norway who were staying here. Our room was very cosy and we had all that we needed although we did need to have to ask to have the hot water temperature turned up as it was not warm at all.
We were here on a bed and breakfast basis the food was ok only had bacon and fried eggs on a weekend the rest of the week the hot breakfast was scrambled eggs, mushrooms, beans & boiled eggs from Mon - Fri. Good variety of Continental food though as well as some cereal and fruit also a basket of fresh bread.
The complex was very clean and tidy maid service everyday and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The outdoor pool was amazing and so warm water set at 28 degrees plenty of sun beds and a nice little pool bar with seating area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely return next year.
There are a number of reviews on here about this being a rehabilitation centre, there are disabled people here, but it isn't only geared for this.
There are a number of norwegians who attend here. But that may be due to the season, the only issue I had with this is I don't speak Norwegian- my fault, not the hotel or other visitors...
The two rooms I had overlooked the pool - I booked a single but got two rooms, and also a wet room, yes it had an accessible toilet, I didn't care too much when I was taking a....
Great staff who couldnt do enough, including Annuel, the lifeguard, who daily took a guy swimming, and refused payment/tip for doing so
Michael from animation, who tailored what he could to me - including asking me the next day had I actually gone to the gym...I had, it's small, not what you would get in a mainstream gym in the UK, but good for a workout
Also the physiotherapist, lovely woman who was returning home the day after I left...she helped translate the quiz for me, sitting through all the questions.
Also the barman who used his tip to buy me a pint on the last night.
Not to forget the beautiful receptionist who completed my checkout.
As a solo traveller, or family traveller, I wouldn't hesitate to go back
I visited Casas Heddy at the start of September for two weeks and was completely bowled over by it. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave you are treated so well by every single member of staff. Nothing is too much trouble...
Michal, the entertainer was exceptional. He made everyone feel welcome and it is clear that both loves and enjoys his job. I stayed half board and was very very happy with the food. Breakfast was a buffet with everything you could want. Dinner was a buffet most of the time I was there, but when there were fewer guests it was waiter service. There was always an excellent choice of starters, mains and desserts. The fish was really good. It’s location is in a very quiet area, but it really is only a short walk down to the old town. It’s a steep hill, but if you want to get a taxi back it’s around 3 Euros. There was a good mix of nationalities. For me the inclusivity of this hotel makes it a very special and inspirational place to visit. I recommend it wholeheartedly and will definitely go back.
