I don’t think I have ever been to a cleaner hotel - spotless everywhere! You genuinely wouldn’t know if this resort was 2 year or ten years old - it was fabulously maintained. The room was large and spotless, the communal areas were the same.
Staff were great from reception to the restaurant...
We had read some reviews saying that the reception staff were rude - this was certainly not the case. I witnessed the ladies speaking three different languages completely fluently - I can only think that their efficient nature may have come across rude if didn’t have a huge appreciation for this. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful.
Pool area was great. It’s not massive but there were plenty of loungers. There were two sections that were slightly away from the pool and this is where we chose to be - slightly quieter, although this is not a noisy resort. It wasn’t school holidays so there weren’t many kids - perfect for us as we had left our teenagers at home!! This place may have been a little boring for them.
Food was average at best - it really let this place down. The offerings were just odd - not sure who planned their menu’s!! I agree that the food was never quite hot enough, and given previous reviews it’s a shame they haven’t sorted this out. It was all perfectly edible but all quite bland - this would stop us from returning. We also agree with previous reviews that the labelling was poor so sometimes it was guess work! With only one restaurant we didn’t look forward to mealtimes. The poolside food was better as it was cooked to order, but on the all inclusive it was limited to hot dogs, burgers, nuggets and chips - given we’re not ten it was another let down. If you wanted to play extra there was more choice.
The resort also only has one bar. This was fine, but cocktails weren’t great (lots were premixed) - we stuck to beer! We were happy to crash nice and early so the bar wasn’t a big deal for us - relaxation was the key!
All in all this is a lovely resort for a sunshine break - if food isn’t a key part of your holiday. For us we realised how much it is!!
As stated in the title of this review, quiet and relaxing. I mean that's what we go on holiday for right? Well, yes and no. We want the quiet relaxing time during the hit sunny days round the pool but on the nights, I like a little more entertainment, especially for the kids...
Not going to say there was no entertainment, that would be a lie, but it is short lived some nights, and does seem to be geared towards the older clientele.
Children's entertainment is severely lacking, and not what was advertised to us when we booked so my two children were forced to look to us to be entertained most of the time which then turns our holiday into a constant battle trying to keep them occupied, which invariably involved spending cash on trips. This may not be the hotels fault as it may be down to TUI misrepresenting the hotels offerings. This is the main bugbear of this wonderful hotel, it's lack of Children's entertainment. Gianny? Not sure I've spelt his name correctly, is extremely friendly, never too busy to ask how you are, and always treats the kids great. My two loved him. He dances with them for about 20 - 30 mins on most nights, but that's it, that's the full extent of kids entertainment. Unless the main act is geared towards children, which invariably is not.
There is also a kids club, twice a day which is a godsend as it gives the adults a couple of precious hours to spend time together, and Jennifer, like gianny, it's amazing with the kids, and so friendly, always smiling.
All the staff at the hotel were amazing for the most part, always helpful and friendly. The guests not always so much. We had a few hiccups with a party from Germany the moment we arrived, they just seemed to take a dislike to us from the second we stepped into the dining area, but they did seem to warm to us towards the last week we were there, and it's not exactly a fault of a hotel if other guests don't like you. But the vast majority of guests were friendly and had a great time talking to people from various EU countries.
Special mention must go to the cleanliness of the hotel and the hardworking staff that maintains these impeccable standards. It is spotless, and I always saw staff out cleaning, picking up glasses etc.
There is also a vast number of bars and restaurants up and down the main strip, most with decent food and good prices, so if you get bored of the meals provided, which is a possibility as the food can get a bit repetitive. Food is generally excellent, IF your a meat eater. My wife, being vegetarian, struggled most nights which is a shame as it does negatively impact the hotel.
The rooms are cleaned everyday, sheets changed every two days, and towels everyday, IF you leave them in the floor in a pile. I read an earlier comment saying they don't change them, which is just not true.
All in all it was an amazing holiday and I for one would return to Lanzarote Village hotel anytime, and will recommend to others.
We are here now and not one absolute no complaints from us. The hotel is lovely very clean in fact one of the cleanest I've ever been to not just the rooms. reception the garden the pool man checking the water every day on numerous occasions the staff are so lovely...
Very modern rooms walk in shower very large comfy beds. So thank you we will enjoy the next week 😊
Just back from this lovely hotel. Firstly let me tell you, I saw no gaggles of naked Germen men like a previous poster stated (was there at the same time), that would have been hilarious. Very very clean hotel, staff very polite and hard working (just remember they don't stop dawn to dusk when you're expecting to be centre of their world)...
The food more than adequate, fresh, well cooked, rotation of dishes with the standard staples you would expect, as a pescatarian that's saying a lot. All in all a decent enough all inclusive, didn't really sample the desserts so can't comment. Gym well enough equipped and quiet, great location for the beach and walking, lot's of bike riding and scooters if you fancy that. If you want to get out of an evening and do the standard Brit bars there are plenty close enough. Good for younger children, but older kids would be bored imo. All nationalities were very polite with each other which made the holiday very pleasant. Slight downside is not enough sunbeds for all (usual case of people putting towels down and not using the beds), but wait for a while and one will come available. Highly recommended if you want a place to regroup and chill out, eat nourishing foods and is a short commute to the airport. Wish I had booked for longer. Would return.
I came here with my husband and 2 children for our family moon for 2 weeks, overall we had the best time but not sure we would return mainly as the evening entertainment ends quite early for us.
ARRIVAL: checking in was done quickly and Julia had some one come take our bags to our room as we had the children. The whole hotel is immaculate and so clean. She briefly told us some information, but when we asked the reception about kids club and entertainment that was advertised no one knew any information and told us to find someone around the pool to ask...
KIDS CLUB: isn't very well advertised anywhere you have to ask several people to find it, but is on 5 days 11-1, our children went a few times, Jennifer was brilliant with our girls and so friendly, she even got her friend to come to our hotel to braid my girls hair. ROOMS: perfect and the maid is amazing cleans your room and makes your bed everyday can't fault the cleanliness at all. FOOD: was OK but very repetitive and not a lot of choice for vegetarian always something to eat though. Food needs labelling properly though half of the food has no label. ENTERTAINMENT: was disappointing as on the website of booking with tui it says good for families and day and night entertainment and I feel its a bit misleading and should be changed to quiet evening entertainment as its only on for 30-45 minutes a night. although giani was so lovely to our children he made their night with the mini disco which only lasted about 20 minutes a evening. OVERALL: We had a lovely stay although the reception staff could be a bit friendlier and more knowledgeable, on our first week the guests were mainly German and we found the majority very rude, on one occasion a group of 3 men appeared to be filming our children on their phone other guests witnessed this too I reported this to the reception and they told me a manager would come to the room the next day, well this didn't happen and no one spoke to us about it since, the men left the following day and we didn't want to ruin our holiday so we just left it at that but I think more should of been done as a report of men filming children should be taken very seriously. Restaurant staff were amazing and always willing to help, as were the bar staff, I can not fault them at all.
