Good location, but a few things could be improved

Overall, I had a pleasant stay in Lanzarote and there were definitely some positives, but there were also a few areas where I feel the hotel could improve.

On arrival, the welcome from reception was a little frosty. The young blonde girl on reception could have been much more welcoming and friendly, especially when guests are arriving for their holiday. I also initially had problems connecting to the WiFi. When I asked for help, I was told that the problem was with my phone, only to later be told that the WiFi was actually down and that someone was coming in the early hours to fix it.

The lighting around the property at night was also quite poor. On arrival, I was simply given my room number and told to find it myself. As I arrived late at night, with limited lighting, this wasn’t ideal. It would have taken two minutes for someone to show me to my room and would have made a much better first impression. Throughout the week I actually had to use the torch on my phone multiple times when walking around at night because some areas were so poorly lit.

That being said, there were plenty of positives. The rooms were clean, the food was good and there was plenty of choice to suit everyone. My only complaint regarding the food and drinks was that the staff could sometimes be a little stingy with drinks during the day, particularly the iced coffees. I often found myself asking for four just to receive two reasonably full cups!

The location, however, was absolutely perfect. It was super central to everything, making it really easy to get around. The bus into town was only €1.40, and a taxi back from the Biosfera Plaza shopping centre in Puerto del Carmen was around €5, which was very reasonable.

Overall, I wouldn’t rule out returning, especially if the price was right. There are definitely some things I feel could be improved, particularly the welcome, lighting and customer service, but the cleanliness, food and fantastic location were all big positives.

A fantastic week here at pocillos playa 😎 the hotel is so relaxing and very well ran, the entertainer Aida makes this hotel and is a key part of the hotels success she is fantastic with the positive energy, and has a brilliant relationship with the guests too, we loved the food the drinks were great for all inclusive even smirnoff vodka and pink gin on the all inclusive too, we will definitely be coming back to this hotel met some great people as the hotel is small and friendly..
