Second stay and it did not disappoint. We were so glad to return after not being able to travel last year because of covid. We have nothing negative to say about the Montana, only praise and can’t wait to return...

Lovely upgraded entrance, immaculate rooms and such friendly staff. There is a lovely feeling of calm in the complex, very relaxing, no loud music. Apartments have everything you could possibly need, our apartment was one of the upgraded ones, great space, lovely bathroom and air con in both rooms, just perfect. Cleaning done to a high standard and food in the pool bar was great too. Spar a few minutes walk away and really central location. Can recommend Montana for a great holiday!

Bed Blockers Paradise

Review by sonihr leeds

I was attracted to this resort by the “award winning reviews” status advertised by JET2. Well, it does have some positive points; the every second day cleaning and fresh towels. The apartments are in a good location for the main strip of PDC and are quiet on a night...

However there are certain aspects of this resort which would sadly prevent me from re-attending. If you are a person who likes to reserve as many sun beds as early as possible for you and your “mates”, then not claim them until after lunchtime, this is the place for you. The sun bed blaggers were pretty disgraceful in their selfish attitude towards other guests. Yes I am an early riser and could have joined in the merry lark but preferred not to. The management did have notices up but nothing was done to prevent it occurring. I think one person reserving 12 beds at a time is very unacceptable. We stayed in the older part of the complex due to the unavailability of a refurbished apartment. It was fine, nothing more or less than was advertised. This “poor man’s end” had the children’s pool area so was obviously busier and noisier. The weather was glorious and it was great to be back in the resort of Puerto Del Carmen but I’m afraid it’s a 3 from me for the Montana Club Resort.

Good all rounder

Review by Bella121980 Cottingham, United Kingdom

We stayed in one of the unfinished apartments, yes, it’s a little dated but was clean and had everything you needed! We would have probably opted for a refurbished one but they were fully booked and they do add quite a large extra cost to your holiday. Our apartment looked over the children’s pool, it was still quietish but we chose to go sit round the adult pool which is a very small walk and we could still see our apartment. I am an early riser and I got my enjoyment out of watching other guests putting their towels out early in a morning, in the dark! They used to claim double the beds that they needed so put one towel down over two beds...

I refused to do this, it’s ridiculous! The adult pool always has free beds all throughout the day so there was no need to reserve! Most hotel staff was lovely and friendly but one older member of staff was quite rude and did not speak to you at all. Hotel in general I felt was very clean, pools were spotless, I would definitely return!

Great apartments!

Review by R3785LAmandyc

Apartments are split into old and newer ones and we were in the new ones which were great. Spotlessly clean and towels and beds changed every 2 days. Cooking facilities in the room if you use them...

Pool area is good but you have to go early to get a sunbed as some put towels on and disappear for the day!

Value for money

Review by JayneyB england

Stayed here for 10 days in the older side that hasn’t been renovated. For what we paid it was good value. The apartment was tired and dated, particularly the bathroom but it did the job...

The bed was ok, the worst thing being the pillows that were as hard as sandbags! The kitchen was pretty well equipped. When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon there was one person manning the reception, the bar and doing the cooking. We had to stand and wait for 10 minutes to check in, not the end of the world but not great when you are dressed in travelling clothes and it’s 30 degrees. The pool area was nice, there seemed to be enough sunbeds but not enough umbrellas. We ate lunch a couple of times and the food was fairly basic but good and plentiful. The location is good, just 5 minutes walk to the strip and 1 minute to the nearest spar shop. Before we left the lady on reception printed all of our documents off for us. Overall the staff were efficient and friendly. This hotel is good value for what it costs and I would probably return.
