The swimming pools are the heart of the THB Flora hotel. This is where guests flock to swim and mingle, to soak up some sun and take it easy. Fringed with palm trees, there's no better place to while away the hours. There's a great snack bar on hand too, so you can spend as much of the day outside, with snacks and cool drinks whenever you fancy.
The THB Flora's gardens are another big attraction. It's a real treat to be able to step out of the sun for a while and enjoy a shady stroll around the hotel, taking in the delights of the garden as you go.
Your convenience and comfort are top of the agenda so there's a handy laundry service*, Wi-Fi*, and a supermarket all on-site. There's also a wide choice of accommodation, from studios to two bedroom apartments and Junior Suites, each with a kitchenette, balcony or terrace. Of course, it's not just the practical things that make a good place to stay it's all the little extras like great live entertainment, and lots of games, from pool to table tennis. Rooms are complete with individual self-controlled air conditioning.
There's a wonderfully relaxed pace of life at the THB Flora hotel in Puerto del Carmen. With two excellent swimming pools for you to enjoy - as well as that glorious beach just a short walk away - you're all set up to take it easy.

This hotel is perfectly located to explore the quaint and peaceful old town of Puerto del Carmen in the heart of Lanzarote. Just 800 metres from the beach, guests can choose to relax by one of the two outdoor pools or spend time on the nearby warm sands. The hotel is surrounded by gardens and offers excellent entertainment facilities for adults and children alike.
I am writing this to warn other travelers about the shocking security failures and completely unacceptable management response we experienced at THB Flora. We stayed here in September for a wedding, which was completely ruined by a massive wave of crime on the property. During our stay, multiple guest rooms allocated to our wedding party were robbed in targeted break-ins. The perpetrators committed breaking and entering, robbing guests of their personal belongings and valuables right out of their rooms. This was not an isolated incident, but an organized breach affecting numerous rooms in our group, over a few nights. Security should have been a priority after the first break-in. When we brought this incredibly stressful and dangerous situation to the attention of the hotel management, their response was nothing short of disgraceful. They were completely disinterested, dismissive, and showed absolutely zero empathy or accountability for the safety of their guests. They did not assist us or take active measures to address the security breach. A holiday and a milestone celebration were ruined by a total lack of basic security and a shocking absence of customer care. I would strongly advise anyone—especially families or large event groups—to avoid this hotel. The property is unsafe, and the management simply does not care.
After reading some of the recent 1-star reviews, we were quite apprehensive about our 4-night stay, but I'm pleased to say our experience was much better than expected.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded from a studio to a suite on arrival, which was a fantastic start to our holiday. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay.
We booked half board and were really impressed with the food. There was plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner, and we found the quality to be very good throughout our stay.
The hotel is situated in a quiet location up a hill, which we actually found to be a positive as it was peaceful and away from the busier areas. If you don't fancy the walk back in the evening, taxis were readily available and cost less than €5 to take us back up the hill.
The pool area was kept clean and tidy every day, and the pool itself was lovely and warm. The only thing to be aware of is that it is quite deep, so it may not be ideal for very young children or less confident swimmers.
If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be the room doors. They seemed quite old and could be difficult to lock properly at times, so they could probably do with being updated.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and felt that some of the negative reviews did not reflects what we experienced we found it to be clean, comfortable, and good value for money. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Room 347, can’t fault the room cleaning, the main problem was the patio area , every day full of bird droppings, table chairs even the washing rack, couldn’t leave washing out has that to was splattered with bird droppings Couldn’t make use of the area it was off putting with droppings everywhere,Maybe if the trees where cut back not hanging over the rooms and patio area it might help, totally disappointed
Stayed in Flora 2 Up the top of a very steep hill the staff were very Friendly and Helpfull when we were there the Ladies in the next were Robbed from thier Room and had Money and Phones stolen from the room when they went for Dinner found out after it is a very commen in Flora 2 and has happened numerous times this part of the Hotel has very insecure sliding doors and in my opinion all should be replaced with more secure doors which meant we were very wary of leaving our room for any lengthof time would roccoment only staying in Flora 1 as dousn't happen over there??
I am writing this review both as a deeply concerned parent and as a experienced hotel manager from Cork, Ireland. My daughter stayed at this hotel the night before her wedding—a time that should have been joyful and stress-free—only for the experience to be completely ruined by serious security failures and appalling customer service.
During the stay, a major incident affected multiple guest rooms across the property, not just the wedding party. Shockingly, the room locks were broken, leaving guests—including young children—feeling completely vulnerable, unsafe, and terrified in a foreign country.
As someone who manages a hotel, I understand better than most that operational issues and technical failures can occur. However, what defines a hospitality establishment is how leadership and staff respond when things go wrong. That response is your saving grace, and in this instance, management and staff failed miserably.
The front-of-house staff on duty were clearly untrained to handle a basic emergency or critical security incident. More damning than the lack of training was the absolute absence of empathy. No genuine support, assistance, or reassurance was offered to families left feeling unsafe in their own rooms.
To leave guests, especially a bride on the eve of her wedding and families with young children, stranded in fear with compromised room security and zero duty of care is utterly disgraceful. Equipment can fail, but a complete breakdown in basic guest safety, crisis management, and elementary human empathy is unacceptable. I strongly advise travelers—particularly families and wedding parties—to think twice before booking here.
