Ferrera Blanca

We had a brilliant holiday at the MarSenses Ferrera Blanca Family hotel. It was the first time taking our children (3 and 2) abroad and it ticked all the boxes. Fantastic children's entertainment, amazing splash pool and a great selection of food in the restaurant for both adults and children. A particular thanks goes to Isa in the restaurant who was very welcoming, helpful and great with the kids.

Very clean hotel. Staff attentive. Dining room offered great choice. Isa who works in the dining room was fantastic with the children. I would stay here again

Mixed opinions on this hotel for us family of 3 with a 20 month old.

We were happy with our room it was modern, spacious and clean. Cleaning at this hotel is every other day as standard however at check in we were given the option to change to every day cleaning which we did. Great size balcony and we were over looking the kids pool which suited us. Only downside of the apartment was we were on the first floor with no lift so carrying the heavy cases and buggy up and down was not ideal.

We found the food to be very poor. Poor quality, repetition of dishes and often things not replenished. We were all inclusive but only ate breakfast here after one lunch and dinner put us off for the rest of our stay. Even at breakfast we found fruit, croissants, baguettes etc empty and never replenished. We did not eat at the snack bar as this was all fried food options and pizza. We also found the timings that the buffet is open unsuitable for us with a toddler. He wakes up at 6 but breakfast didn’t open until 8. Also lunch was during prime nap time for our toddler however this is our own fault for not checking this out before arrival. We also did not find the quality of the cocktails good and we had the premium spirits included.

We spent each day around the kids pool. It does not open until 10 which again isn’t ideal when you have an early riser. The queue for sunbeds in that area also started at 9.30am every day, if you waited until 10 you would not have got a space. The pool however was great our toddler loved all the slides and splash fountains etc and we found this area again was always clean.

The play park is rubbish consists of one slide really.

The kids entertainment was unsuitable for a 20 month old however the older kids in the hotel all seemed to enjoy it. Evening entertainment for kids did not start until 8.30 so too late for us. We did attend the daytime pool party which we did enjoy. Foam party and balloon globe thing for the kids.

The staff at the hotel are all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was in a good location for us, 5 mins walk to the beach and about 15 mins walk to the main area. Took us 25 mins to walk to the marina. There is also a better play park about 5 mins walk away. About 10 mins walk away there is a happy park place for kids with go karts, bunjee trampolines, pool, air hockey, ride ons and some arcade machines.
