Cala Millor

Situated only 50 metres from the sandy beach and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, the Hotel Biniamar enjoys a privileged position in the centre of the popular holiday resort of Cala Millor in a pedestrian-only zone. All of the rooms boast wonderful views out to the open sea. The hotel features an outdoor pool, a hot tub, a separate children's pool and a gym. Culinary options include a buffet restaurant with hot and cold food as well as a poolside café-bar serving Mediterranean cuisine, both local Mallorquin and Italian dishes. Next to the hotel, guests can find the seaside promenade with scores of shops, restaurants and bars. The beautiful headland Punta de n'Amer is located within walking distance. Porto Cristo with the famous Dragon Caves can be reached within a short drive. Whether for a relaxing or a fun-filled holiday, this beach hotel is a perfect choice.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Holiday during covid

My 9 year old and I booked via booking.com and everything was smoothly processed. Was able to request help with airport transfer via hotel and pay at the hotel upon arrival. The transfer did take a while as had to wait for more people to get on the coach and then had various drop offs at various hotels...

I think next time we would get a taxi. Hotel was clean, masks required in public areas but not around pool. Very small lifts but they were big enough for me and my son and with not sharing lifts with people at moment they were more than sufficient. I had requested a high up floor and sea view. We ended up on the fourth floor and side sea view which was fine but I will request a higher floor next time with full sea view rather than side view and keep my fingers crossed. Bedroom was simple. Being from GB I did miss a kettle and teabags at the hotel but that's a side comment 🤣 would be a great plus for brits though if you did put a kettle in. Then we had a fridge which was great for keeping drinks. Two single beds which was great, indoor table and chairs and same outside on the balcony. Nice to have a sturdy balcony... I always worry about leaving my son outside on balconies which just have a couple of metal poles (you know what I mean). Bathroom clean and roomy. Towels were sparse. I do like two large towels for myself but there was only two for me and my son. I do think an extra towel would be useful. More hand towels available but having showers twice daily due to heat would have been better having more larger towels. Cleaning and be done daily and the lady who was cleaning was lovely. Was gutted we didn't see her before check out as I had hoped to give her a tip. Pool was a nice spot....not very big but served a purpose to cool down. Nice and quiet area. Able to sit outside for food at lunch though we were rarely there at lunch time. Nice bar area downstairs too on the terrace to watch the world go by. Breakfast was buffet and plenty of choice. Loved the ham....was soooo good. Latte from coffee machine was good too. We didn't pay for half board but I do think it would have been worth doing. Food smelt lovely! May consider for our next visit. Not sure if it is an option but would be good to be able to pay for dinner as and when if you do happen upon the hotel at dinner time. Maybe it is an option but wasn't told if it was. It would have been good too for the staff to mention that it is possible to book excursion via reception. There is a table round the corner with information but we didn't see that until our last day. Great service and staff friendly. Hopefully we will be back very soon but will need an extra bed as my mother is coming with us next time as I have praised the hotel and Cala Millor so much. Thank you!!

Beautiful place to stay

Stayed twice at the hotel this year. We have children and although the hotel is not particularly geared towards children, the facility’s are perfect for what we want in a holiday. It’s not over crowded and you can have a peaceful break...

It’s right over from the beach what more do you need.

Hotel room are spotless and cleaned and serviced each day. Pool area is again clean. Bar area welcoming and clean staff are beautiful people and can not Do enough fur u

That was a disaster.

We went for a late lunch to hotel restaurant with my girlfriend hoping that we'll have a nice meal. Prices seems pretty nice so we went for it. But what comes after our order left us in shock...

I ordered Spaghetti Bolognese and my girlfriend ordered Tuna salad, but how can I say it nicely...it was just horrible! First of all, the waiter didn't speak a bit of english and by a bit a mean NON at all. We wanted Tuna salad without an onion and he didn't even know what onion was. It took us like 10 minutes to order, I swear. After he delivered us our food, we couldn't believe our own eyes. Portions were like for a little children and we can't even talk about some taste of this food. Spaghetti were terrible and they were downing in some cheap potato sauce which had nothing to do with Bolognese - there was also absolutely no meat in it. Tuna salad was also terrible, just a can of tuna placed on a couple of salad leafs, few sweet corn and maybe 3 olives. Just awful. If someone from their staff is reading this, please do something about it cause I don't think that with that kind of service and food you'll have many customers at your place. Good luck, I'm never coming back.

Excellent family run business

Review by enjoyinglife49 Paisley, United Kingdom

The Biniamar celebrates its 50th birthday this year and the same family have been running the hotel since it was built with money from the sale of inherited land the mother sold to give three daughters a business. The three sisters are still working in the hotel and they are aged 71 to 75. The service and staff are excellent and nothing is to much bother...

We have been going here for a few years now and will be back next year.
