Excellent hotel

Review by Terry H

We have just returned from this great hotel,It is in a great location,With brilliant views all around. We arrived at 1.30pm and were met at reception by a lovely lady called Caroline who explained everything to us,I asked if we could upgrade to a junior suite but unfortunately there was no availability,So we went up to our room it was lovely and clean. The following morning we went down to breakfast it was brilliant something for everyone lots of choice,Unfortunately the evening meal was not so good as there was not the choice as there was for breakfast but was still OK.We were then offered the opportunity to upgrade to the junior sweet, it was simply Stunning with wrap around balcony and the views superb. All in All this hotel was very good with chill out area out front with about 20 or so leather type sunbeds pool bar and seating. With a small salt water pool...

At the back of the hotel was the main pool sunbathing area, All the staff were excellent the cleaners were lovely and good. But a special thanks to Caroline at reception nothing was to much trouble for her a real asset to the hotel, we booked this hotel after original holiday with Thomas Cook went bust so glad we did would we come back a definite Yes.

Wedding anniversary

Review by cghamilton57 Glasgow, United Kingdom

My husband and I have just returned from 5 days in the Caleia Talayot hotel in Cala Millor. This hotel is knowwhere near what it was like when Thomson had it. The Toilet is separate from the shower room. The Sinks are in the Bedroom...

Shower has half way up frosted glass top and bottom the rest is clear glass. So you don't have any privacy at all. Don't like this at all. All staff were lovely. Food poor chicken 2 nights with Broccoli and chips. Burgers 2 nights with the same. It doesn't have a nice lounge to sit in and have a drink. Just the pool Bar. We have stayed in 4 star hotels all over the place and we don't think this is anywhere near 4Star. Deserts very poor. Very small portions. Didn't even reconize our wedding anniversary. We won't return to the hotel in a lovely part of cala millor but the change over has ruined it. You used to be able to use the indoor pool it was lovely. But since Caleia has took it over it's now a Spa hotel and you have to pay to get in now. A lot of places were closed due to the end of the season. Staff were all very helpful and lovely. Sorry won't be back.

Excellent hotel, very modern and clean!

Review by gracehodgkinson Hartlepool, United Kingdom

My partner and I stayed here 14th October 2019.

We booked through jet 2, self catering.

We had only booked a standard room, with no balcony. We upgraded to balcony - but not sea view. However we could see the sea from our room anyways...

It was €18 per night = €126 for the 7 nights.

We didn’t eat in the hotel, only snacks and cocktails for the chill out lounge. Cocktails were lovely reasonably price, they do a cocktail of the day for €4, which is different every day.

We found 2 amazing restaurants which I would recommend going to, the Indian called the Bayleaf which was around 3 buildings along from the hotel to the left. Amazing food!

And also an Italian which was in the main strip called to Tomeu. This was recommended to us by someone in the hotel, it was amazing. My partner got a steak and I got parmesan spaghetti, which sounds pretty plain, but wow it was amazing! They mix the Parmesan cheese into it, in front of you. My partner steak was also amazing, however you don’t get many chips and vegetables with it, but never the less amazing!

Little bit pricey compared to other places but 100% worth it!

Rooms very modern, and clean! Couldn’t of asked for anything else in the room.

Hair dryers were of great quality. I never normally use hotel hair dryers. Little mini fridge - great for all your little bits.

Few little things which could be improved by the hotel, not paying for a safe - I think it should be free! You need to pay €10 Euro’s per towel, beach towel which you get back when you return your towel at the end of the stay. I personally think if the rooms are free you should be automatically upgraded.

But overall amazing experience. If you looking for things to do as we went in October 2019 wasn’t that much to do. The wrangler jeep safari, would recommend! Also to hire a scooter, we discovered a lot of lovely places and was so funny! Boat trip and get off at Porta Cristo, really lovely place.

There was no jet skis to hire, which was abit of a let down. Quads there were mainly tours or they want €2000 deposit.

Review by nogarlicdip1940 Belfast, United Kingdom

Stayed here last week in October and would book this hotel again, rooms were exactly as advertised ,bed and breakfast seems the best option .To find things wrong with this hotel I would have to be nit picking i.e. the kettle in the room didn't always boil properly, can honestly say the hotel was great staff friendly would go back here again with no hesitation.
