Cane back from here after a four nights away. Hotel was lovely, rooms were nice and cleaned every day. Reception staff where friendly and tentative, bar staff where great and you never had to wait to long to be served. Food was fantastic with plenty to choose from. Views were beautiful looking out to the sea. Really enjoyed our stay and was walking distance from shops, bars and other restaurants.
I am currently at this hotel and on the transfer from the airport I read a scathing review from a solo traveller and wondered what I was going to. Well I’m pleased to say it’s the total opposite of that review, the hotel is fabulous. The staff are lovely and so helpful. The hotel is kept really clean, the bedrooms (5) we all have are fantastic. Beautiful and spacious with everything you could hope for and more. Plenty of wardrobe space and hangers, toiletries even including body moisturiser. On the balcony there’s plenty of hanging space for swimwear and towels.
The restaurant staff have been so accommodating, making sure they prepare a table for 5 of us as it is not a normal table size. There is so much choice at every meal I cannot understand the negative comments about the food. There’s fresh fish or meat cooked in front of you, veggie options and so much more.
We’ve had a little boogie when there’s been evening entertainment (every other day) .
The hotel is in a great location and the scenery is stunning.
(Oh and we’ve never had a problem getting water!)
We have a few days left and are looking forward to spending them at this little gem.
Went here for 10 days mid June for the second time and absolutely loved it. First time was B&B but only do half board now. Sea view is awesome & the rooms are very spacious & kept so clean by a great friendly team of house keepers. The breakfast is a great variety of options the only very small issue with the evening meal was that it wasn’t labelled very well but the staff were on hand if you wanted some help with that. Second very small issue which is probably more my personal opinion is that the pool bar could benefit from a couple of WiFi speakers positioned in secluded areas to make a bit of atmosphere rather than when you go to the bar the music is quite loud and I found myself having to repeat my order several times. The pools are both very clean & pool ares have plenty of beds and umbrellas . These two little things are why I’ve given it a 4. Would still highly recommend it & would return in a heartbeat if they still had the B&B option. Many thanks to all the amazing staff/ chefs/cleaners / waitresses & reception. ❤️
The best location in Cala Millor, close to the move and shopping area, but in a quiet place for relax. The sandy beach part of Cala Millor, is about 5 blocks waking along the shore.
I have edited my review after my first complaint and speaking with the front of house team on areas.
Food : poor quality and the most limited options possible- if you are vegan or vegetarian you will live on salad + olive oil.
All inclusive is not all inclusive you can not have a lot of things.
You are not allowed to have food in your room- to eat on your balcony, you are not allowed to take food from the restaurant. - I was told this infront of the other guests in the restaurant and when I asked why- its just the rules of the restaurant. As someone who fasts normally throughout the day, but also needs to balance their sugar levels, I was told off for taking some water melon and grapefruit to consume on my balcony in the heat , or even if I am sitting by the pool - currently the temperature is 34 'C. - I was then forced to eat this before I left the restaurant. The rules of the restaurant is you can eat whatever you want from the hours of the restaurant but only in the restaurant.
There is no other food options other than the one restaurant, which is shocking. I have lived on lettuce, pickled beetroot, cucumber, tomatoes maybe some fish and I had a chicken skewer yesterday. The rice is ardent and not cooked properly. The hot section of food looks inedible. I have stayed away from most options provided, other than salad.
You can't take water out of the restaurant, you cannot fill your water bottles. Room service has not provided me with water for my room. So I have to go to the local supermarkets to buy this. In light that I am not filling my water bottle up with wine, or beer just water to have and keep hydrated- those are the rules!- the issue regarding water was on my first day I had breakfast, left the restaurant and came back to top up late- in the was told I am not allowed, as I have left the restaurant and I should go to the chill out bar. I went to the chill out bar and asked if I can top up for water, the waiter said no. I went back to the restaurant where I was originally told I could not to up water and the waiter there said, you can only have water after 09:30 am from the chill out bar...I went back to the chill out bar as it was 08:45 and said can I at least have a bottle of water or is there anywhere in the hotel where I can get water- they replied your an go to the gym. the frustration of going back and forth for water in my opinion was unnecessary.
If you stay by the pool all day and chill out bar- you can have drinks but no snacks. only food from the restaurant in the allocated times. and food and beverages must be consumed only in the restaurant.
You are not allowed glassware in your room- yet there are water glasses (no water) in your room. On arrival, I was told that I could have the option to take a bottle of wine when I received my room key, just ask the waiters. So, when I asked on my first day, I was told 'No, you can have a glass at the bar'. - The reason when I asked why, was 'no glassware in rooms'. However I have seen two rooms have champagne and champagne (glass) flutes delivered to their doors on my floor....
Smoking/Vaping - I was told that I have to smoke outside the front of the hotel, fine not a problem - yet I have seen other guests smoking near the pool and in the chill out area. You are also not allowed to smoke on your balcony in your room. Fine not a problem. I enquired abut the smoking policy at reception - I was told its is not allowed, yet I see other guests doing this and not being told off- another inconsistency. I just vape on my walk down to the beach.
SPA: yes you have to pay, so I paid. - It was amazing!
Book a spa treat ment and spa session.
Tea and coffee: you are not allowed to take coffee, tea or juice out of the restaurant to have in your room or in other areas of the hotel. In your room you only have two small sachets of coffee. When I ask the cleaners to have more coffee, it was a mission, but eventually, I got an 2 extra sachets...
General entertainment the hotel....none- I did hear a singer on my first night, but if you want to live back in the 80s then you missed a singer that sang Tina turner.
Pool area, it's nice if you have podcast to chill out. No entertainment or music so you can get bored if you are there all day, everyday. if that is your vibe, then it is ok.
General inconsistent information on hotel rules, and staff give you different answers.Having said this, the reception team are very easy to talk to and they speak an array of languages.
Overall, I stayed to have a vacation, recover from surgery, destress and have a birthday weekend and not let people give me negativity, Preferably I spent most of my time at the beach away from the hotel.
