Not for English guests

Review by nigel C Retford, United Kingdom

Having stayed here for 10 days earlier this month i can't understand why Jet2 offer this hotel. Absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel itself but doesn't cater for non Germans. As we'd seen there was no kettles in the rooms we took tea, coffee etc with us, i asked for a kettle at reception which was quickly brought up to our room but no cups or mugs. The tv in the room had 60 channels but only 4 in English, BBC1,BBC2, BBC3 & Ceebeebies. Foodwise. The breakfast selection was vast with a great selection of fresh fruit, cereals, cold meats and cheese but the (hot) items were very limited and mostly cold. As we had booked half board we thought we wouldn't be eating out much but the selection vast again but couldn't tell what most of it was and not many labels in items. We ate out most evenings. The entertainment in the evenings 100% german. As stated the hotel itself is lovely and this review isn't putting the hotel down, more Jet2...

We definitely wouldn't visit again.

Let down

Review by Denise M Leeds, United Kingdom

Rooms are ok . nothing special for a 4 star i expected tea. coffee facilities.there were non...

i felt unsafe in the shower no hand rails to stop you slipping. even though theres a stool. still not safe without a rail. food was a complete let down at dinner, not enough choice for English palate i finished up eating out many days. there needs to be a microwave in dining room as breakfast items were cold, there was a lack of servers. many eggs cooked and left in the tray whilst the chef vanished for ages. people did complain about this., but caters for German cliental. sunbeds free round pool. day i was leaving i couldnt keep my room on, so i paid 30euros for the facilitie of having a room , which was a room clients get to use free, no shower gel in it. just basic. wth no windows.

Fantastic holiday

Stayed at Sabina Playa for 10 nights with my husband. Everything was faultless. Perfect peaceful location and hotel for a relaxing holiday...

All staff were friendly, approachable and super helpful, good sense of humour too. Food was amazing and so much to choose from. Fresh and healthy food. We had an amazing sea view from our room on the 5th floor and the views from the roof terrace were spectacular. It was our wedding anniversary whilst we were there and I just mentioned it in conversation with one of the receptionist. When we came back from our walk there was a bottle of bubbly, rose petals,a card and two swans made out of towels on our bed. We were so touched and happy about that unexpected lovely gesture. The pool is lovely and was never too crowded, always plenty of sun beds. The only thing that was annoying was that some people who stayed at this hotel would plonk their towels down very early in the morning onto the sun loungers and also use about three parasols for two sun loungers. I found that very arrogant and rude. Thank you Sabina Playa for a fantastic holiday

Guest mistreatment!

I booked a room directly from their website, having to pay 1 night with credit card to secure the booking. At the checkout, the receptionist, Joan, showed me the receipt for the 3-nights stay, but it didn’t reflect the 1 night I paid when I booked the room. I showed him the email I received from them, with the details of my payment and the remaining amount I needed to pay at the checkout. He told me that it was not possible, as they didn’t take credit cards to secure a reservation, questioning the authenticity of the email I received, thus suggesting that I could be a scammer. He also made me speak with his manager at the phone...

This woman, Aida Palma, was really rude to me. She wouldn’t allow me to explain, telling me all the time that what I was not telling the truth (thus suggesting I was a liar), that they never accept credit cards for reservations and that she hadn’t any payment from me. After that I showed the receptionist my credit card statement with my payment and the paragraph on their email stating that they only reserve rooms by using credit cards. In short, both the receptionist and the manager treated me as a liar and fraudster. This is completely unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed with this hotel.

Beautiful Hotel

Review by Specialk1176 Belfast, United Kingdom

Had never been to this hotel or resort before and it did not disappoint. The hotel is beautiful and absolutely spotless. Modern, bright and airy...

Lovely pool area on the forms floor with pool bar and lovely roof terrace with smaller pool mainly for sitting in to cool off. Spectacular sea views over the bay of Cala Millor.

The hotel is completely wheelchair friendly as is this complete resort, a lot of people with walking disabilities and all restaurants and bars are wheelchair friendly.

We didn’t eat in the hotel as there was just so much choice in the resort, but we were bed and breakfast. The breakfast were amazing, I’ve never seen so much choice. Hot breakfasts as well as meats and cheeses, croissants and breads, fresh fruit, cereal. Nothing ever ran out as they were constantly topping up. Couldn’t fault it at all so I’m sure the lunch and dinners were just as good.

There was entertainment on a few nights, a singer and Sj but didn’t go on too late and again we chose to go out around the resort.

We had our room cleaned every day and fresh towels if you needed them. The rooms are lovely and absolutely spotless.

The staff are a credit to that hotel, so friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a few minutes walk to the beach front and 5 mins walk to the restaurants, bars and shopping area, perfect location.

I would definitely go back to this hotel.
