Excellent hotel and we’ve stayed in many. Paying that bit extra for premium is definitely worth the added extras that comes with it i.e the view, infinity pools etc.
Lots of choice of food and I am extremely fussy, drinks were of good standard (and strong).
Room was spacious, clean and bed very comfy.
Very helpful staff especially when booking covid tests to fly home (Monica).
Short walk to the beach and literally a minute walk to shops, doctors, restaurants etc.
Will we return…. DEFINITELY
let me start from the start, this hotel was a nightmare. if you are not french or speak it, don’t bother going there. you will spend most of your time frustrated...
now imagine paying £889 for PREMIUM SEA VIEW and end up facing a brick wall with infected ants all over the room and beds (A101 room). shower ceiling had a ceiling leak. even after complaining, we were told there was nothing to come back until the next day 8am. both my friend and i had to sleep on a small sofa to avoid having ants all over us as they were on the bed. we went back at 8am to be told nothing can be done until 12pm so that’s already most of our day gone because we were tired from lack of sleep and itchy from having found ants in bed. comes 12pm, we wait another 30 mins and get given new keys (NO ONE HELPS WITH YOUR SUITCASES SO IF YOU HAVE KIDS, YOU WILL STRUGGLE). we go to our new room (a509). View was an improvement, clean and no ants in sight.
food at this hotel is bland and undercooked. we lived off pizza and chips for 5 out of 7 days for lunch and dinner. we found across the road on the opposite side of the shopping centre was an amazing restaurant called grand central. now that was cooked food with TASTE. One of our friends is a pescatarian and despite there being fish options, it was all undercooked, slimy and they use the same cooking utensils for meat and fish. some foods have no label to what it is so if you are allergic to stuff you will not have any idea until you eat it. theres isn’t much safe distance in the dining area and outside dining area considering covid. they do enforce you to wear your mask when walking around to get food or drink which is a positive thing.
when checking out, we found that the ‘safe locked area for suitcases’ isn’t actually locked and anyone can go in there as its open. there are special comfortable towels for the french and Spanish customers vs those who are not. we also found there were tea bags and coffee along with sugar packets there but when asked why our room had no tea or coffee as there was a kettle, we were told there was none. very interesting management. you also get one 1litre bottle of water for a double room that YOU have to refill at the downsizes bar water fountain. phones don’t work in the room so you can’t even call reception to complain about anything or even say something needs to be fixed. you have to go there yourself and if you are in the premium building, walking to the main building means you have to go into outdoors and if it’s raining, you will get soaked as theres no coverage between the two buildings.
the massage lady was amazing. she removed all my knots from my back from sleeping on their bed which by the way is two single mattresses on a double bed base so when you sleep you roll into the middle of the bed. so uncomfortable but the massage lady was amazing. i woke up sunday 12/9/2021 wanting to cry because of my back and she helped it alot. i was just disappointed i could not tip her as i did not have enough cash on me.
I think this would be an amazing hotel if improvements were done especially in not having people from other countries feel isolated because they don’t speak french in a SPANISH island.
Such a great hotel - we highly recommend it! Sat by the pool on our final day of our 10night holiday . We really liked this hotel having stayed in many different ones in the resort of calas da Mallorca, we have said that this one is the best we’ve done here. The people that have given bad reviews I really don’t know what they have experienced...
We stayed in the premium side and was well worth it . Our room was lovely the view tremendous and really enjoyed the chilli out bar and the private bathing area where we enjoyed the snacks constantly brought around . The staff are friendly and engaging and the food is great fresh fish and seafood fresh meat cooked the food was great . Over all a great time had.
Now the reasons I’ve not given 5 . The WiFi allegedly went down on our fist weekend about on our second day and it has as of yet come back on . We were originally told that lightning had hit the mast , then told it was the router , even though WiFi is available in ever bar we went in . We also had not one English speaking tv Chanel just to listen to the odd news etc. In the dinning there were a lot of dirty plates which hadn’t been washed probably. Would this put us off from coming again no . Overall a really nice time had by all
We had a lovely, relaxed and enjoyable stay here! I would highly highly recommend upgrading to premium, rooms are lovely and spacious, views are incredible! Premium pool area is stunning with cocktails and food all day and infinity pools. No towel brigade at all at the hotel! Caters for multiple nationalities. Food is lovely, plenty of choice...
Entertainment every night! I would also recommend hiring a car and visiting Porto Cristo which is only 20 mins away, absolutely beautiful! I must admit I have quite high standards for hotels and this was an absolutely amazing trip! Staff were also incredibly friendly and accommodating!
