Hotel okay. Clean and tidy. Pool area good . Brilliant that the sun loungers are locked up till 9.30 am. This way you get a place by the pool side. Food well not great to be fair as most of the time the food is left and cold. More selection of British options of food. No evening entertainment but I guess end of season. Bar not much space to seat. Better selection of cocktails would be good. Paying for a safe is okay but you have to carry a key round with you or hide it. Not a great idea should have been a safe where you put in a pin.
We got amazing half term holidays in Golbales America, sea view from room and swimming pool is for one million dollars :),very nice and friendly staff, food been good but can been better for 4 🌟 hotel, room is very nice and clean but pillow can been better. I hope so we can back to this place again thanks for staff excellent holidays for me and my family
Please don't get put off by the negative reviews. I highly recommend this hotel!
We stayed in room 608 the first week in October and had beautiful sea views with morning sun and WoW what an amazing sunrise!
This hotel is set in a beautiful location with exceptional sea views! The beach is right on your doorstep with crystal clear water. de
The food was good, in my opinion, but I am great lover of salads. Always something nice to find for every taste.
The hotel is very clean and the cleaners done a great job on our room every day.
I would say that this is the best hotel to stay in Cales de Mallorca. It is the closest hotel to a beautiful beach and we enjoyed the walk along the coastal path every morning. The shops are a few minutes up the road from the hotel.
All the staff were friendly and always greeted you with a smile.
A big shout out to Hose on reception who helped us out with an awkward misunderstanding with another guest. He was absolutely amazing and, without him, it could have ruined our holiday.
As the end of the season is nearly here, I wish you all a good well deserved rest.
Thank you for an amazing holiday.
Kindest regards,
Mary & Chris
Just returned from a week staying at globales america Hotel in calas de mallorca. It was advertised as a 4 star all inclusive with tea and coffee making facilities in room and private beach! Untrue, coffee machines in public areas with cheap coffee. I can honestly say I have stayed in better 3 star accomodation. The hotel was clean but basic, however, when it came to the food it was very cheap and poor quality ingredients, lacking flavour and always cold. It didn't have a fresh food pass, so no fresh omelettes at breakfast or special food cooked infront of you. The chaos and noise at mealtimes was uncomfortable to eat in, not just crowds of noisy guests but staff banging and clattering dishes loudly. People grabbing and pushing, long queues and trolleys pushing through. For 4 star I would expect a drinks waiter at evening meal. The flow of the food bars seemed all wrong,, for example, butter nowhere near the bread, so you have to go hunting for things (adding to the chaos) while your cold food gets even colder. They didnt cater for vegetarians well, we had one vegetarian in our party and one night in the whole week they had a vegetarian stand with a lentil stew, again lacking flavour. Some starters such as chickpea salad contained small bits of ham. Mexican night was a very salty mince. We ended up eating out most nights because we found the restaurant in hotel too disappointing and stressful. So ended up spending more than planned. The bar staff were all very friendly and the kas beer good but all other drinks especially cocktails had cheap ingredients. Locally the shops and food places were also disappointing. Typical Irish and all day breakfast type bars which looked run down, apart from a small restaurant called Taste hidden amongst the bars and tacky souvenir shops. We also ate at vibes in Portocristo and Mistral in Porto Colom all of which were excellent, maybe the hotel manager should take his catering staff to show them how its done! Talking of the manager we only seen him on the day we were leaving. No private beach, however, there is a lovely beach with snack bar and only about €15 for 2 beds, parasol and safe. Great value for money. The location is beautiful with picturesque scenery. The pool areas, 2 big pools with entertainment and a small paddling pool for little kids but sometimes the music played was very inappropriate using the N word. Limited parasols which are taken early by people hanging towels on them but plenty of beds. Pool bar same buffet of salad, chips, cardboard pizza and croquettes or battered veg everyday. The toilets around the public areas had glass doors and you could see everyone using the facility if you were waiting your turn. Our room seemed small but clean. Bathroom had a strong drains smell and you could hear others using their facilities like they were in the next cubicle of a public toilet. You could also hear conversations and other amusement going on in other rooms too and I mean very clearly! Fridge didn't work and tv signal poor for uk channels but maintenance man came quickly and sorted the fridge. We had a late flight home, we got up early at reception on day going home but unable to get a late check out and had 15 minutes to use a courtesy room which was a cupboard, no air con with a shower room on the side which was filthy, wet and full of others towels and debris left. Came out dirty and sweaty for journey home. Even my clean clothes for travelling home had stains on. We flew with easyjet which didn't offer a rep at the hotel, just a QR code to scan on a poster, however the Tui rep, Thomaz was very helpful and booked us on the island tour, which I can highly recommend, he also gave us information on bus routes and where to hire kyaks locally in Portocolom. Would not book at a globales hotel again after this recent experience. So disappointing when you expect 4 star and get such poor service.
We came as a family of five adult with 3 rooms for 10 nights. On arrival we had an issue with the rooms we were given as they were not the best and on the ground floor of the annexe. We immediately went to reception to ask to be moved and were told we could be moved the next day . We spent one night in annexe, one room was crawling with ants . Checked out at 11am and at 2pm were given 3 lovely new rooms in main hotel overlooking pool and sea as requested ! That’s when our holiday really began. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff here work really hard and keep the hotel lovely and clean. The only negatives were the issue of people putting their towels onto sun parasols to reserve them before the sun beds are unlocked at 9am. We looked out of our bedroom window one morning at 7.30am and people had already been out claiming their space ! One day a couple did this and then came strolling out at 10.30am to start shouting at a couple who had sat under ‘their’ parasol ! Good for the young couple who rightly said they weren’t moving !! The hotel should not allow this to happen as there are not enough parasols for everyone, they definitely need more. Also the food here is baffling. For breakfast they have cheese and baguettes etc, vegetables, pate but less for an evening meal ? No variety of cheeses or crackers that you usually have just same orange or yellow cheese . And stale bread from the morning or lunch. I did struggle some days being a vegetarian as the choices for 10 days become extremely repetitive but we ate out four or five times. Highly recommend a restaurant called taste which the man on reception said was the best on the island. We also ate at the Venetian which was lovely and even at the travellers which was a really nice pizza ! The drinks here are ok but you have to pay for ALOT of the drinks you would expect to be included. The baileys alternative you have to pay for and it’s gross ! Most cocktails you have to pay for aswell as cider etc. You seems to get less and less for all inclusive nowadays. The safe is very expensive here aswell as the tourist tax so beware when checking in you’ve spent a £100 Euros before you’ve even got your room keys ! The beach is lovely and we went a few days for a change of scenery and so we could get a bed with a parasol ! Also we went on the catamaran and the boat trip to Porto Cristo and would recommend both. The town centre was better than we thought it was going to be after reading some reviews ! Plenty of holiday shops, bars restaurants etc so we couldn’t really grumble at all. Overall we enjoyed our holiday. The rooms are noisy and the shower does flood the bathroom but not the end of the world ! Also the entertainment is a bit poor although we did join in with bingo and really enjoyed the Motown and flamenco dancers. Special mention to the pool bar at night - the staff here were brilliant fun with their music playing and singing and dancing. They need more tables outside of there ! Thank you for a lovely holiday.
