Amazing hotel

Review by emilied814 Eastbourne, United Kingdom

My husband and I stayed here from 15/10/21 - 22/10/21. Check in was very quick and efficient and the reception staff very friendly. On reaching our room we found a very spacious clean room with amazing views from the balcony...

Shortly after this my husband realised he had left his bag on the coach transfer (he is type 1 diabetic and contained his insulin!). The reception staff were extremely helpful and the managed to track the bag down and the following morning arranged a taxi for us to pick it up. I really don't know what we would have done without their help so thank you once again. We really enjoyed the food on offer during breakfast, lunch and dinner and the snack bar is great if you don't fancy eating in the restaurant. We had no issues with the all inclusive drinks on offer, I like wine which I found to be nice. My husband enjoyed the beer and rum on offer. Entertainment is great we especially enjoyed the music quiz. Although some days it was a little overcast we still enjoyed some pool days and went for some lovely walks along the coast. It is a short walk to the right for 2 small sandy beaches where boat trip are also on offer and a short walk to the left for another small quieter sandy beach.

I would also like to mention that my husband lost his phone in a bar one evening (clearly not his best week), again the reception staff were exceptional with trying to help us. They kept trying to call it and trying to track it but it had been turned off so we were unable to do this. They gave my husband the details of the local police station and arranged for him to get it reported. Once again we wouldn't have been unable to do any of this without their help.

Overall even with the problems we had a great week. We couldn't fault the hotel in anyway. Thank you for a lovely week and all of your help.

A much needed week away

Review by GaryO1982 St. Helens

My wife and I stayed here 16/10/21-23/10/21 I will try and be honest and open as possible from start to finish, hopefully I dont forget any parts/bits about the holiday

The check in-was great and efficient still following covid protocol, paid our tourist tax 42E for the week for two people.they have three lifts going up to all floors

The room- was very spacious, clean and tidy, had a TV (although you don't go away to watch TV would have been nice for some "British TV stations" ie bbc/itv, only English stations they had were bbc news 24 and sky news International both worldwide outputs and a fridge which big enough if required to store food if you wish being AI we didn't need to put any food in, just water, only gripe no kettle in the room, the bathroom was ample size probably one of the biggest iv had in the past, definitely enough room for both to get ready, the wardrobe and draws again bigger enough for a weeks stay, electric points at the side of each bed so OK to charge devices in, now onto the best part- the balcony we were on the 9th floor (if you like heights and unspoilt views this is for you) overlooking the ocean watching the sunrise was the best part of the morning, again bigger enough, only downside nowhere to dry washing on a rail which some hotels have, would be useful putting them on, could encourage customers to use the laundrette, beds were changed has frequently has you liked, you only had to leave a card on your bed to have them changed, towels changed in the bathroom by leaving them on the floor within the shower unit, cleaning team worked very hard and very well.

The restaurant - served breakfast, Lunch and tea (dinner) great selection of food across all meals, fuzzy eaters would even like it here always something to find to eat, just the food doesn't stay warm which can be bad if your other food is going cold as well, drinks are also available in the restaurant which are on dispensers, even the beer is on self pump, could have done with TWO toasters luckily the hotel wasn't too full so wait wasn't that bad, they do have a snack bar which have chips, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches biscuits and crisps which operate out of the meal hours which is great if you get hungry.

The pool- they had four, two which were for children only about 0.60m deep then two adult ones which one was 1.4m and the other over 3m,the sunbeds were the best iv used at a hotel, they had more than the normal back support level they had a additional lever at the bottom of the bed where you could change the height of where your legs are positioned, never a issue getting one

The local amenities - if you turn right outside of the hotel there's a lovely 15min costal work where it takes you to the local beach,or if you walk out the main entrance and carry on for about 5-10 min walk you will reach the local resort centre in calas de mallorca which has the usual shops you find, with it being just after coming out of covid a few bars/shops and even crazy golf (big shame) hadn't reopened but the ones that were where Happy to see you, special mention to The travellers inn (very nice steak) The entertainment consists of Quiz night, circus acts, ABBA tribute (my fav group so I loved them) male&female singers, another quiz night, male duo covering all age ranges only downside was everything was finished by 22:30 OK if you are at home and gotta be up for work in the morning, but you on holiday trying to enjoy yourself, feel they could carry on until 11pm, the acts are far too scripted, stick to same songs probably every night they tour the hotels, no audience interaction, feel you could make it better by being able shout out requests for songs, you rarely see comedians at a hotel, this would certainly break it up a little humour in the evening, also maybe daily or a few times a week a prize bingo, felt at times there wasn't much to do for adults during daytime hours

Extras- they had a kids club, two pool tables, table tennis, mini acarde with several machines, indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna, with our ages we never used any other the said amenities but when glancing in they looked nice...

Lovely last minute break in a stunning location.

Review by Guisgreen Guisborough, United Kingdom

We booked this hotel due to the previous reviews, price and availability as we only booked 2 days before we travelled with On The Beach.

We were so lucky to have a caught a very hot week before half term. The hotel is set in the most gorgeous location and all of the rooms have an amazing sea view. We were on the 7th floor and although we had two children with us the balcony seemed quite safe and secure.

The room was basic but there was a fridge and a lovely waterfall shower in the bathroom which was lovely after a day on the beach...

The tv only had one English Channel which was a little annoying when you were settling down in bed and fancied watching something for half an hour. Same for the kids whilst we were getting ready on an evening.

The beds, towels etc were clean but it didn’t appear that the cleaner did the floors so they were always gritty and grubby. Our bathroom had an awful smell and I think the toilet was leaking internally which might have been why.

The food wasn’t the best. This wasn’t down to the variety as there was plenty to choose from it was just that everything seems luke warm. It didn’t matter what time you went down for meals they didn’t have the right facilities for keeping the food hot enough.

The grounds are stunning, pools clean, decking around the pool was lovely. The main pool is 3.5m at its deepest, not sure why but always wary of it when the kids are near.

Two small beaches at either side of the hotel are only a short walk and both lovely. The bigger of the two was stunning and there was a nice beach bar there. Sea was warmer than the hotel pool and shallow for the first 50m.

The entertainment was quite good considering it was end of the season. Flamenco, quizzes, acts etc. The kids club was brilliant for our kids. The lady who ran it was amazing and it gave us a nice time to relax whilst kids had fun on their own.

I really enjoyed our holiday here. We met some wonderful new friends during our stay too. The hotel has a very relaxed feel in a luxurious setting. It was worth what we paid. Is it a 4*? Not sure really. If the food was better and rooms that bit cleaner then definitely!

Last minute break

Review by footyfamily Alton, United Kingdom

First time away to the sunshine since Covid. Hotel has lovely views that is for sure but it most definitely is not 4 star. We enjoyed our mini break here as the weather allowed us to laze around the pool which really was all we wanted to do...

However parts of the outdoor areas are looking tired and in need of some TLC, obviously the lack of visitors due to the pandemic have hit these resorts hard and I do feel for them but if you're selling yourself as 4 star then you do expect certain things. The hotel is due to shut in a couple of days and you can tell as they have run out of certain drinks etc. On the plus side the inside of the hotel is clean and the cleaners always left our room spotless. You can take a nice walk from the hotel along a coastal path too which is something worth doing. The food is ok, nothing fancy and there's no chef cooking meats etc like we have had in many other 4 star hotels. The hotel needs to learn how to keep the food hot too unfortunately it was warm but only just most of the time.So all in all we did enjoy our stay but it wasn't as great as it could have been

Wonderful but were robbed

I can truly say we had the most wonderful time. The hotel and location were perfect, it’s just extremely upsetting that on the last night we realised that we had €400 stolen from the room. I would recommend you use the safe which unfortunately you do have to pay for...

We have made contact with the hotel and still await to hear further.
