Eix Platja Daurada

Lovely hotel. Well maintained rooms and all the other areas. Pool is large and clean. Service was good although a few staff struggled at times as our spanish wasn't too good ,and they only really knew German as another language as this resort and hotel is primarily German. Food at the hotel was good, and a good selection. Bar drinks are good and the Iced coffee is a must in the afternoon. You're a short 5 min stroll to the start of the beachfront bars/resteraunts. Be prepared for a sunbed battle, the hotel advertises that there's no reservation of beds but unfortunately do not police it, so by 9.15 am the beds are gone, and you cant put anything doen until 9am. And some do not get used till late afternoon. Very annoying especially when some were using 2 beds each, as 1 was being used for a drying rack. The must do is get up for the sunrise, its breathtaking.

Can Picafort was very nice and clean however it was very expensive for food and drinks. Good job I was staying at the EIX platja daurada hotel and spa half board. The hotel and grounds were fantastic and the swimming pool and sun loungers were a dream. The food was sensational and all the staff were so pleasant and respectful. The rooms were great but I only slept in there, I was mainly in the pool area, over the bridge at the beach or on day trips. The air con was good and the WiFi was at a high level. I definitely want to experience another EIX hotel but perhaps in a cheaper resort. Thanks EIX platja daurada hotel and spa, it was a fantastic stay and I'm sure in 4-5 years time I will return.
