High quality service hotel and amazing activities. Thanks to Javi and Pablo for the paddle training session: it was exciting and a lot of fun! Great animation team! We enjoyed!
We are on our last day and have had a great time at this hotel. The location is the big attraction in a quieter area with direct access onto the beach. The rooms are perhaps a little small, but typical of many similar 4 star med hotels. We had a Mountain View, a great place to watch the total eclipse. The hotel is chilled out with the usual daytime entertainment and limited evening entertainment. Most people seem to go to the nearby restaurants and bars at night. We prefer low key entertainment but maybe not for people who want big evening shows. The breakfasts are good. Can’t agree with some of the reviews for the pool area. There are 3/4 pools, including a good sized adults only pool. On our last morning there are only 3 beds taken at 7.30am so no major rush, still beds available most mornings after 9am. A member of staff leaves a reminder note not to reserve sun beds if they are left unattended before 9am. A lot of guests go to the beach. A great experience and would happily stay again.
I have just recently had a week at this hotel for what you pay it’s great ,, the food is very good , the pool area is fantastic with excellent entertainment for children day and night my granddaughter love kids club , I also enjoyed the aqua gym every on the whole we enjoyed this holiday Now for the BAD points to look out for Frontal sea view is not on the front it’s on the size but with sea view ,the front sea view is for the level only be ready for this the staff would not. Change my room ,how ever the manger did after a struggle change my room not to the front but closer to a better sea view. So a little crazy the pool does not open until 10 in the morning it 30 c by this time , Sun bed, not enough many complains, pool staff did there best but people where getting up at 5. 50 am to reserve bed crazy very stressful you do not need on holiday . And you need to stay with you bed all day or some one will steal it Only one bar when you go to dinner and nobody serves you until your eating it took me 30 minutes to get a drink again very frustrating I have been to 8 Melia holiday and I would say this is the worst to get a drink they could do with putting more staff on the bar at night I have to say the circle are a different breed of staff so helpful and wiling to please at all time I am a red member and find it’s well worth the money Zara and Alexandra where both brilliant , so thank you to them And Marget the manager
Hotel in general is good and location is great. Our room can only be described as fantastic.
We have stayed in many Meliá hotel “Levels”.
But!! This level is by far the worst note the staff are great. It’s just too busy and not relaxing, the pool is too small for two hotels, in the Level they introduce alcohol and food at the same time, then the Level guests from two hotels arrive together, it only can be described as worse than any supermarket during Covid. Perhaps if they introduced the food or wine not at the same time this may help prevent the mad rush. Possibly management should check out this service at different Melia hotels they might understand the guests frustrations.
Our 5th returning visit. Our 5 night stay on the Level this time was very different to our previous ones. Mother & daughter plus my dear friend and her daughter. Firstly, all the staff work very hard and always friendly and helpful. Jose the pool maintenance man was very chatty & happy.
Cleanliness - our corridor was noticeable not clean at times, crisps , liquid spillage and other items littering the walk way from children.
The Level in the past has always been very peaceful but unfortunately this time you had children using it like a circuit run in the day but also late at night without any supervision from parents. When confronted to be quiet you just got verbal abuse and rudeness, our last night had to go to main reception to complain because children unattended in the next room were causing disturbances well after midnight. Security was nonexistent !
Pool - well the hotel should not advertise a serene scene- Inflatable city, they took over the pool, children on them with glass bottles parents not stopping them, actually parents doing similar. You could not swim. Also standing glasses & bottles on the pool side . This is definitely a health and safety issue, glass did get broken. Plastic only should be allowed. Made staff aware. once staff left they would continue. In previous years I have never opened my curtains to find a sea of green towels on sun-beds at 6:30 am . I do not go on holiday to relax to have to set my alarm so I can get a sun bed. Most did not come to sit on them till later. Did point this out to staff. People were abusing, such a shame.
Level at 5pm was horrendous, children grabbing the food, racing around with it back to the other hotel. Certainly not a relaxed experience.
The gym air conditioning was poor first thing and equipment not clean, we always cleaned it. Who wants to use equipment full of other people’s sweat!
So on reflection what we have experienced this time all four of us unanimously agreed that we will not be returning next year.
We would like the management to look at these comments and bring The Level back to a premium place not to charge for a premium experience and get something you would get in lesser establishments. With great sadness we will not be returning until standards have improved.
