I recently stayed at the FERGUS Style Tobago in Palma Nova and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere and everything you could want for a relaxing stay.
The breakfast was amazing too, with such a great choice of food every morning. The omelettes in particular were absolutely delicious and freshly made — definitely one of the highlights of breakfast!
What really stood out for me, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
I unfortunately lost my watch while I was there and, after some searching, we discovered that it had actually ended up in the bin! The staff went absolutely above and beyond to help find it and recover it for me. I honestly can’t thank them enough for the effort they put in. It was such a kind and thoughtful thing to do and really showed just how much they genuinely care about their guests.
A beautiful hotel, amazing food, and staff who truly go the extra mile. I had a fantastic stay and would happily return. Thank you to everyone at FERGUS Style Tobago for making our stay so special! ❤️
Booked through easyJet and had a half board package which was good value. The hotel is in a great location for the beach and right on the sea front. We had a sea view room on the 7th floor. Nice view across Palma nova beaches. The rooms are a little cosy and the bathroom area is fairly open with frosted glass panels on both the shower and toilet door. Not a problem for us, but if you are not a couple you might not find it private enough. The Restaurant was very good. Great selection of food and some show cooking. Although the coffee and tea were self service from a machine, I would have much preferred fresh coffee. The atmosphere and all the staff were fab, nothing was too much trouble. If you’re not confident in water - the shallow end of the pool is at least 5 feet deep.
Rooms not very big unfortunately we was on the first floor outside view roof of the entrance but you could see the sea. Don't know why there's sun lounges as the sun never hits that part of the hotel.
We are just finishing our week here. A great experience. All areas of the hotel were kept spotlessly clean including our room service. The buffet food was of an high standard with plenty of choice where it was well cooked and presented. Every member of staff were a credit to the company always providing the highest level of service with a smile. I would though particularly mention Noelia and Lazaro who both provided exemplary service from the pool bar and always with a smile. They took the time and trouble to get to know their customers and everyone got the same level of outstanding service; well done to them. All in all a great break and somewhere that I would recommend.
Fergus Style Tobago definitely not a 5-star hotel, more like a 4-star. The rooms may look spacious but is small more like a room on a cruise ship. There is limited storage to two drawers, no bedside tables, no proper wardrobe, and the space is limited. There is a desk with a chair but you cant pull the chair out as there is another chair and stool in the way the only place you can put the other chair and stool is in front of the patio door blocking you using it. The room is small more like a room on a cruise ship.
The bathroom setup was not the best, the wash basin, toilet and shower are basically in the bedroom the toilet separated from the bedroom by just a glass panel.
The room was not cleaned properly before we arrived, there were drink spill stains on the floor and on the balcony table which stayed there during our stay. The bedside wall lights could have done with a clean as there was dirt and hairs on them which definitely were not ours.
There was a folding drier on the balcony which we didn’t use as it had rust stains on the rails so we didn’t want to chance putting wet swimming clothes on it in case the rust marks came on our clothes.
The mattresses was of very poor quality — foam, which doesn’t suit everybody, soft, uneven, and clearly seen better days. As a result, we woke with sore backs and hips and couldn’t wait to get back home to a comfortable bed. The pool only had ladder steps so if you have limited mobility you won’t be getting in, there is a chair hoist but not everyone won’t to see you getting in by this method, steps into the pool would suit most people.
But it all wasn’t bad news, the staff were really nice and friendly, the restaurant had some excellent food and there was always something to suit everyone. The location of the Hotel was really good just a couple of minutes from the beach and bars.
Due to the room design and cleanliness I would not stay here again and would not recommend it based on our experience.
