Set just steps from the crystal clear waters and wide stretch of sand at Palmanova beach, this family-friendly hotel offers the perfect vacation spot on the sunny island of Mallorca. Families will delight in the four outdoor pools, including a large lagoon-style pool, children's pool and paddling pool for toddlers, and the hotel offers a full programme of entertainment with parties, evening shows and live music for adults and children alike. There is also a nursery and Flintstones-themed multi-adventure children's park. The two main restaurants offer rich and varied buffets with show cooking and international and regional dishes, while the pool bar and lounge bar serve a wide choice of drinks, juices and ice creams. This hotel's excellent facilities, services and location make it ideal for enjoying a carefree family holiday and discovering the most beautiful corners of the Mediterranean.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Initially, we were quite disappointed with the hotel. Our room was very run-down and shabby and, in our opinion, certainly didn’t feel like a 4-star standard. Unfortunately, one of the restaurants was closed partway through our stay, which meant two hotels’ worth of guests were using just one restaurant. It became extremely busy and chaotic at times. We also found the food quite repetitive and struggled to find much variety, particularly for lunch and dinner.
On the positive side, the location was really good, with some lovely walks along the beaches and plenty of shops nearby. The large family pool looked great, although it was far too cold for us to actually use during our stay.
Overall, holidays are about making memories, and we still enjoyed parts of our trip. However, I think it’s important to manage expectations — if you’re booking this hotel expecting a 4-star experience, you may be disappointed. In our opinion, the standard simply didn’t match the 4 stars we paid for.
Had a standard room booked , given room on 5th floor in sol 2 . Room was clean, perfectly adequate for our needs, good air conditioning . We loved the beds , we were very comfortable and slept well. Although our room faced the rear of the block and over looked a bit of a waste ground, we actually quite enjoyed the quiet and as we are animal lovers, enjoyed watching the family of cats every day getting up to antics and greeting people as they walked past the grounds. The staff were all very pleasant , very helpful if asked any questions and always had a smile to share . We personally enjoyed the food, we thought what was on offer was fine and always had plenty of choice. The deserts were lovely , especially the cakes . Drinks were fine, alcholic and juices and coke etc. The hotel is well placed for beach and shops. In all , the hotel for us was fantastic. I would return and i would highly recommend. Great value all round .
The hotel was lovely ,food in sol 2 was hot sol 1 luke warm , didn't really experience the pool as couldn't get a sunbed for love or money , entertainment team worked hard friendly team .Took some getting used to the cups idea as a brit we like to go up at the end of the night and get a couple but was limited to one . Would go back at a heartbeat that beach was beautiful swimming in the sea everyday I think im in lovev
We spent eight days at Sol Palmanova Mallorca for our first trip to Spain, and everything was incredible! The weather was perfect, the sea was beautiful, and the hotel was spotlessly clean.
A huge thank you to the entire team, especially Eduardo, the restaurant manager, for his fantastic energy and hospitality! The restaurant offered a huge variety of delicious food every day. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely be back soon!
This hotel is in a great location, very close to the beach, transport links and lots of restaurants, shops and bars. Most staff members were nice, sadly the reception team were the least attentive. The drinks at the bar were generously made and not watered down like other all inclusive hotels.
The cleanliness wasn't great, the terrace we paid for had cigarette butts and ash on the floor from either the previous residents or from balconies above throwing them down. The bedding had stains, it felt as though the floor hadn't been swept and our shower head was cracked and hanging on by a thread.
The food selection was extremely poor, lacked creativity and everything looked like reheated slop. Aside from salad, bread, fries and muesli there are no vegan options and this resulted in me having to purchase oat milk and diary free yoghurt at a local supermarket so that I could eat a decent breakfast. I was very surprised to be told they didn't even have bananas. My partner who isn't vegan agreed that most of the food was inedible, and anything we did manage to eat was stale, so we spent most meal times out of the hotel eating at local restaurants instead. If you have any dietary requirements at all I would avoid this hotel as there is milk, egg and wheat in everything. For some reason the coffee machines are only prohibited for use at breakfast, meaning you have to queue at the bar for a hot drink at any other time of day.
The pool gets closed and cornered off at 17:30, so if you're thinking about going to the pool after a day out, forget it. It also looks unclean and has black mould around the edges so we didn't use it at all throughout our stay.
There is a token system for drinks, meaning you can only ever get one drink at a time, which feels like more of a benefit for the staff than anyone else. For an all inclusive hotel it feels very restrictive and they put literal barriers around your freedom, which goes against the point of an all inclusive experience.
The entertainment is non existent and we only ever saw karaoke, which is just drunk residents screaming into a mic. For some reason after around 19:00 every evening when going onto the terrace all you can smell is sewage, we suspect this might be due to the outside floor being mopped with dirty water.
Overall, this is at most a 2.5 star hotel experience and the existing 4 star definitely needs to be reviewed.
