We have just returned from a weeks stay at this beautiful hotel. We had the most relaxing break. A la carte restaurants were great with a fantastic choice of food...
We were slightly anxious before arriving after finding out the evening buffet was closed, however don’t that let that put you off as the restaurants were lovely. Buffet open in the morning. Staff work super hard and are all so friendly. Our room was lovely and modern and we loved our rooftop terrace with jacuzzi. So nice to relax after a day sunbathing with a view of the beautiful hotel grounds. It was really easy to arrange our covid tests through the hotel for our return journey. There are nurses who visit the hotel at 9am every morning. We would definitely return to this fantastic hotel!
Buffet dinner is closed until November. No email was sent to the people that were coming. They say it’s on the website, but I think an personal email would have been better...
Limited menu to pick and no one in my family likes sushi or very keen on Italian, so that ruled out two restaurants entirely. Only so many times you can eat steak in a week. So instead we ate out for 3 of the 7 nights to have a better selection. This isn’t great when you have spent £10,000 for a week.
We ate at the Grill restaurant for x3 nights and the service was slow and they never got all of the 7 meals all correct. The staff were lovely and said sorry, but after the the 3rd night it was wearing thin. I think they struggling as it was getting busier and the buffet restaurant is closed.
No evening entertainment to talk about after dinner, unless you count a lady playing on a piano. My three year old was extremely bored and would just run around. So most nights we went out as it was stressful trying to get him to sit on a seat all night and do nothing.
We stayed here for 12 nights as a family of five. With twins aged 9. The hotel in august 2021, post pandemic and at 40% capacity had understandably reduced staff count but the staff they had worked tirelessly, went over and above and were very friendly...
Our check-in was seamless, quick and easy with a glass of bubbles to welcome us. We were in a Junior Suite Apartment 2, closest to the kids playground and ‘water bubble’ pool - roomy rooms with a great view of the pool and bar. Also perfect location as kids absolutely loved the water bubble pool - affectionately known as ‘The Octopus’! The entertainment was good, reduced due to Covid and perhaps as a result, not enough for the older kids but then they made their own fun. My 9 year old daughter enjoyed most all the activities, my 9 year old son was a little less interested. Activities include ‘running mat’ - so much fun with mats in the pool (I wanted to join in!) and aqua aerobics for the adults - this was great fun for all levels. The food - I’ve just this moment eaten the most incredible sea bass for lunch - my fave meal here over the last 12 days - and there’s been a lot of competition. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.
This hotel could be easily the best on the island but is let down by the customer service, and there let’s blame covid attitude. The hotel grounds are lovely and the rooms are spot on. The location is also perfect and you can reach palmanova in 2-3 mins...
Now the not so good bits. The main buffet restaurant is closed till November and your stuck eating the a la carte where not everything is included on all inclusive. And when you do eat in there the service is slow and the food is undercooked. The main inside bar is closed and for evening entertainment is just some bloke playing the sax which after the 3rd night drives you round the bend. It’s rather poor f families when you shelled out 10k for 3 rooms. It leaves you thinking they are cutting back in the costs but keeping the price high. The answer is yes
I actually don’t even know where to start with this review. My 2 year old nephew got very sick on our 2 days there (non holiday related). He spent 7 nights in the public hospital and this hotel could not have done enough.
They upgraded us to all inclusive so my Sister & BIL not have to worry about finding somewhere to eat when they got home from the hospital...
They gladly extended our rooms so we didn’t have to check out and into new rooms. They cleared out mini bar bill so again no additional worries. They called the room to check on him everyday. Anabel the manager was just amazing, she gave us her number so we or the hospital could contact her day or night.
We honestly can not thank this hotel for the support they gave us. My sister and her family would probably not holiday anywhere else now because of the support given. Thankfully my nephew is now home and doing very well.
As for the hotel, it’s beautiful. They are gorgeous, we had a junior and a swim up. Loads of space and spotlessly clean. The cleaning staff do an amazing job of keeping this hotel spotless. The facilities for children are amazing and had my nephew been well he would have been catered for. The gym is one of the best we have seen in a hotel with everything you could possibly need and more.
The grounds are kept immaculate and every member of staff would kind and friendly.
It’s in a great location just of the Palma Nova strip close to the beach, bars and restaurants.
I could not rate this hotel highly enough. Thank you Anabel and all your wonderful staff at the Zafiro Place we hope to see you all again very soon.
