5 day stay - pretty good!

Review by hstewart2407199 Dumfries, United Kingdom

Hotel room very clean, nice view from window / sliding doors. Decent sized bed and flat screen TV. Only 2 English channels though...

Breakfast was pretty good and staff friendly. Only issue I had was the safe didn’t work, did get my money back for it though so all good. Staff friendly and helped with any queries. Would recommend for travellers who aren’t as fussed with luxury. Good location, 10/15 minute walk from the Marina, 30/40 minute walk from the city centre. Would go back again.

Lovely short break in Palma

Review by Suecainred Widnes, United Kingdom

Hi liked the hotel , clean lovely pool area and lovely views, not much open in the vicinity needed to go to the front which was a lovely walk once got down there. Breakfast was ok. We had sone Interesting walks home directed by my phone which took us into archway then bushes😂 .very easy to catch bus to palma or just a bit further down the coast...

We walked to Cala Major one day and got the bus back nice beach area there. Only complaint is that we had a drink in the bar one night at around 10.10, bar advertised as open until 10.45 however young man on duty turned music off 10 mins later and we felt obligated to leave as he was preparing to close, even though we were the only ones there we should not have felt rushed in this way.

Anniversary 5 night stay in Majorca

You get what you pay for....We were aware that for the money there would be no fancy hotel although basic is the best word to describe this hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly although are been trained so are new to this role. The main hotel looks very tired and in need of modernisation. This appears to be in the process as during the week, the pool area was been rendered and new glass panels been installed...

Had you not have seen the works people though the walls and walk areas are very untidy. A large glass panel was smashed and had been cordoned off by way of a chair from the bar, it was still like it after 5 days! The rooms are very clean but basic. This was all we needed as only used the hotel as a base. The rooms were cleaned every day and the cleaning team were very friendly. The towels are very tired, on a couple of occasions the towels were torn, the balcony door also did not lock although considering we were 3 floors up this did not worry us We were unable to use the pool due to the weather although on the day we left the pool area has been set up, the sun loungers were nice and tidy The bar onsite on an evening had a nice atmosphere, nice to watch the sunset over the harbour. The drinks are reasonably priced too. The locals do frequent the bar as there is a very large tv screen playing football. Not a fan of football but there is areas away from the screen to sit The location is in a area where the locals live and is situated on a hill top. I had read reviews that there is a small hill.....it is not small when pulling up your suitcases!. The walk into Palma city takes around 45 minutes and is pleasant along the front. We didnt use taxis but they were always present near the hotel should you require one. The little cafe opposite the hotel is great for breakfast and the staff are very friendly. The walk to Portipi shopping centre is well worth it as is Cala Major. We did feel this hotel was a little further from the city than we would have liked but on a plus side got plenty of steps in and lost a couple of pounds! Should we return we would stay closer to the sights and sounds of the city

Some of the staff are extremely rude and unprofessional

Review by marchofdimes London, United Kingdom

Training in professional conduct is definitely needed, particularly of bar/cafeteria staff. Experienced some extremely disrespectful, very sexist (I would say his behaviour actually amounted to sexual harrassment), aggressive, and rude behaviour from one particular man (a shortish, slightly overweight, older man) wearing black uniform and working in the bar and cafeteria/restaurant area. I was and still am truly shocked by his behaviour...

Aside from this, breakfast was overall very average. Some of the cooked products (for example the eggs and bacon) were not of a very good quality. Bacon was almost only streaks of fat and the eggs were reconstituted. Other cooked products were also just so so. However, fruit was fine and pastries were okay. The coffee is from a machine is passable, but not great.

On the positive: The buffet dinner selection and quality was good. Reception staff were generally professional and helpful, though there is some room for improvement. The cleaning ladies are nice and try to be helpful.
