Have just spent a week at this amazing hotel. I stayed here last year at the same time of year and will definitely be returning. Everything was as I expected - fabulous! The only difference I found was there was many more children here this time which didn’t matter to me at all and the fact the sun bed hoggers are now out in full force- towels on beds left unoccupied for hours which did matter. So now on to all the extremely positive things that really do matter…, The staff are so welcoming, friendly and attentive. This is a family run hotel and it shows, You will no doubt meet and speak the family members and leave the hotel feeling like part of the family. The food is simply delicious. I’d urge anyone to upgrade to half board or full board if you are going to spend your holiday around the pool and have a good appetite! Breakfast is buffet style with lots of choice and can be eaten in The Winter Garden restaurant where there is s lovely conservatory opening onto one of the hotels 3 swimming pools. It’s s very peaceful spot. Alternatively you can breakfast al fresco at the beach restaurant with amazing sea views and a short stroll to the other 2 swimming pools set in the most beautiful and well kept gardens. Dinner can also be taken here or at the magnificent main dining room which is simply stunning with food to match and a pianist playing. All the bedrooms are different and both I have had the pleasure of have been fabulous not to mention spacious. On each stay I have been welcomed with chocolates and a bottle of Cava in the room. It is these touches that set the hotel apart and make it special. The whole interior of the hotel simply oozes charm and is quite quirky. I’d advise you Google this or watch on YouTube as my description couldn’t do it justice. On a final note - the spa. Had the best relaxing massage ever. Highly recommend. Love this place and look forward to returning🩷
Why haven't I found this hotel before now? The hotel is quite quirky set on different levels and took a bit of time to get my bearings but this all added to the experience. It has a wonderful atmosphere and spotlessly clean and tidy. The gardens are lovely with an abundance of palms and foliage and a choice of 3 pools with plenty of sun beds. The location of the hotel for me was perfect, it is not a long transit to the airport. My room was lovely and spacious with a large balcony and a sea view. It had everything I could want and it was always kept clean and restocked by the cleaning staff. The main restaurant in the hotel was lovely, the food was excellent and the staff were so professional and attentive. The beach restaurant was pretty spectacular too. From breakfast, lunch and dinner the choice on the buffet was varied and top quality. The staff here too were excellent. I found all of the staff throughout the hotel all extremely friendly and helpful from the start of my holiday to the finish. I would certainly stay at the this hotel again and hopefully it won't be too long before I return.
This was my second stay at The Bon Sol Hotel, both times in June. Yet again we had a thoroughly relaxing, perfect stay.
Illetas is a very classy resort, just 20 minutes SW of Palma and not too far from the airport. Taxi was 35 euros. The Hotel itself has a great coastal location, set over three sites joined together by walkways, lifts and tunnels with fabulous views.
We booked on Full Board basis this time and the food was first class. If you want to enjoy Mediterranean cuisine at its best ... or eat light and healthy - everything is possible. We were blown away by the food in both restaurants.
The room was well appointed - spotlessly clean and equipped with tea making facilities - a fridge and everything you need. Lots of towels and even a thoughtful beach bag and beach towels to use by the pool. There are a couple of pools which are fabulous and there are plenty of sunbeds too. The Hotel has it's own cove with access to the sea. It's very sheltered and safe.
Yoga every morning at 9 am is an absolute gift and there is nothing better than exercise overlooking the sea. Sarah Jane is a brilliant teacher and tailors the class to experienced yogis or complete beginners. Would highly recommend if you fancy having a go!
Then there are the staff at the Hotel. These people are what makes Bon Sol such a special place and what keeps people rebooking year after year. Every member of staff goes the extra mile to make sure your holiday is faultless and nothing is too much trouble.
I think what makes the Hotel so unusual and unique is the fact that it is family run. The Xamena family - Martin Lorraine, Natalia and Alejandro are on site every day making sure that every guest is happy. This is the Hotel's USP. It's what gives it such a warm welcoming feeling.
I would recommend Bon Sol to families (Saw quite a few children there this year) couples, friends or singles. You will have the best time.
We will definitely be back next year. Thank you!
Excellent stay from start to finish As we are returners we settled in quickly to the slower, relaxed pace of life. Had a Junior Suite on the 4th Floor with beautiful views over to the Bay of Palma. Lovely bottle of Cava on arrival with deluxe chocolates. We always dined in the main hotel’s Dining Room which waiter service is prevalent. Delicious 4 course menus served each evening. Musical entertainment either pianist, violinist and singer most nights. Other dining available in the Beach restaurant. Staff so friendly and helpful. Met with the owners who were particularly welcoming, a really lovely couple. If you wish for a holiday experience that is relaxing, leisurely, friendly, and a gastronomic delight, then this hotel is for you.
Such a wonderful hotel, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are happy in their work and many have worked there for years. The breakfasts are delightful and the evening meals are excellent. Beautiful sub tropical grounds and little private beach area. Highly recommended!
