Palma

The hotel is on the Palma de Mallorca seafront, near the old town. Major sites such as the Pueblo Español congress centre, the Auditorium, the Royal Yachting Club RCNP or the famous Cathedral are within walking distance. The airport is at 18 km from the hotel. The 171 rooms are bright and airy, filled with natural light; many of them offer spectacular panoramic views over the bay, the Cathedral, the marina with its countless yachts and the promenade. Guest can admire the stunning sunset over the bay while sip on an original cocktail from a terrace bar or enjoy the sun by the pool side while lying on a sunbed. Take the opportunity to have dinner in the restaurant with a menu based on ingredients deeply rooted in tradition and touches of creativity. The moonlight and soft candlelight create an intimate and romantic atmosphere.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

I’ve just spent an amazing week in Palma with my beautiful daughter it’d been delayed 2 years due to the pandemic but it was so worth it the hotel is more than worth its 5* the hotel & staff are unparalleled I travel a lot worldwide with my husband and this is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in!

Junipor Summit

Review by Haythamlink Dubai, United Arab Emirates

It was a trip for a business conference , the conference facility was good also terrace and restaurant quit acceptable, but the stay experience and room was terrible I think the hotel should not be a 5 Star hotel , of course the location is great but I think next visit I will not stay in this hotel ,

Can't wait to come back!

Have just returned from a 5 day holiday at the hotel. We booked Red Level and had a gorgeous room with balcony overlooking the port with views of the cathedral - absolutely stunning.

The hotel is lavishly furnished throughout with a lovely outside seating area...

I must give 10 out of 10 for the staff! Have never stayed in a hotel where the staff are so welcoming, always with a smile and nothing is too much trouble for them. A special thank you to Gloria who looked after us - she is an absolute asset to the hotel. We will definitely return - had a fabulous few days!

Good but…

Review by carolemh Folkestone, United Kingdom

We stayed here over the Easter weekend and no surprises it was busy.

We are members of Melia rewards but booked through British Airways holidays.

We were initially disappointed with the room as it was made up into twin beds and we had requested a double...

Housekeeping did come and make the bed into a double but It was not a “true” double due to the dip in middle. The amazing views we were promised in a Deluxe side sea view room were not so amazing.

The facilities at the hotel were very good and breakfast service was very good. Employees worked hard to look after us all so thank you to everyone involved. Amazing views over to the cathedral and harbour everyday was a great way to start the day.

We had a pleasant stay and loved Palma but not so sure if we would come back to the Melia Victoria.

Good but needs improvement

Review by sim33306 Surrey, United Kingdom

We stayed at the Gran Melia Victoria over Easter for 3 nights - we visited a few years ago and returned because we were very impressed last time. During this visit we noticed there were a few things that need improvement - the swimming pool wasn't very clean which made it not very inviting. There is also a sign around the pool which says that sunbeds are not to be reserved - this was ignored and as it was a hot weekend the pool area was very busy - the staff around the pool however did not seem to notice or care that people were reserving beds and not using them for hours on end. This caused a few issues with people who couldn't get beds - also a very difficult lady just decided to move peoples beds so she could sit where she wanted - again - totally ignored by staff...

There also wasn't enough cushions for all the sunbeds. We had a red level room on the 9th floor which was very nice however the lighting system in the room is not very good - you have to keep pressing the same switch to get the light on or off. We only had a turn down service one night out of the 3 - also we weren't offered a welcome drink - again no consistency. The bar staff in the main bar were not very efficient - they seemed to spend most of their time in a room behind the bar leaving it unattended. The staff in the restaurant were very good and the breakfast was very nice and the views from the room were fantastic. Would we go back? probably not - we'll try a different hotel next time.
