Strategically located next to the seafront promenade, this resort allows guests to enjoy the beauty of Palma and its surroundings. With easy access to most touristic and historic spots, such as the Bellver Castle, the Cathedral and the historical city center, where guests will be able to find numerous shopping venues, restaurants and museums. The airport is approximately 8 km away. The hotel offers fully-equipped 345 rooms with air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom with toiletries and a balcony to enjoy Mediterranean climate. Guests can relax at the spa which includes a water circuit, sauna and massage cabins, and which is located on the hotel terrace. The hotel also offers a local cuisine restaurant with a concept from the land to the plate.
We have previously stated in Meliá Level rooms in Alicante and London in the past. Our expectations of the upgraded service attached to The Level were totally unmet at this hotel. The Level area is positioned in a corner of the hotel that is disconnected from the outdoor area and there were inadequate staff levels in attendance - breakfast tables were not set up, we had to swipe cutlery from wherever we could find it, tables were left uncleared, only machine coffees at breakfast, and there was no menu perse, so expectation is self service and self-tidy across the board. The Level food itself was also not of the quality of other hotels. The free spa circuit was a joke. Nobody on reception and pool temperatures all wrong. Main pool was nice and the attendant was friendly. Probably a superior breakfast in main hotel as the food in the Moss restaurant was good. Definitely, do not opt for the level, not worth it and actually poorer service than in the main hotel.
Location good. Although lots of noise from boy racers driving up and down the road outside hotel. Room 726 is lovely. Bed comfortable, plenty of space. Balcony has amazing views of Cathedral and Marina. Decor needs updating though and only one plug socket by bed. Also need to take kettle plug out to put coffee machine in as poor design means they both can't be plugged in at same time. We did half board but I am vegetarian and basically have one option for starter and main course option is Pizza! I did ask for a caesar salad without meat but was told they couldn't do that. There was a pasta option with meat and asked gor that without meat but told couldn't do that either. I did get spaghetti in tomato sauce but no veg and very little flavour as clearly the meat in it would normally give the flavour! I did get offered artichoke flowers which turned out to be artichoke flowers fried flat with cheese on top. No veg or salad to go with and this was supposed to me my main course! My partner who is not a veggie enjoyed cod loin and veg seabass, prawns, chicken etc and had lots of options. Seems the 'chef' pre cooks everything so unable to cook to order which is poor for 4* hotel. So half board was a terrible option for us. Especially as staying 10 days. Staff in The level very helpful though.
The slowest service in the universe. If you have plenty of time do try it, but if you need a drink within an hour go some place else. Amateurs!
Location is ok and there has been a lovely 25 minute walk along the marina into the city centre each day.
This is our second trip to Palma and my daughter and I thought we would try a different hotel with a pool.
The hotel looks lovely on the surface but lacks the sparkle. The pool area is very disappointing, the tiled floor is filthy. Drinks stains and ground in dirt shows the floors or beds are not cleaned each night. The plastic frames on the sunbeds are filthy and haven't been washed in ages. All very disappointing.
Towels and empty glasses left which made it hard to find a sunbed to use at times.
The rooms are quite nice, corners and edges a little dusty and you can see dirty splash marks on the mini bar glass door when the sun shines through.
The staff are friendly and reception are keen to help.
There's lots of choice at breakfast, it's presented well and again the staff are very friendly and helpful.
If the hotel could rectify the cleaning bits raised it would be a lovely place to stay.
It is a marvellous hotel Great location on the Marina Great staff, lovely room with a view on the marina. Very clean Great gym.
