Don’t ask them to call you a taxi or the Police will arrive instead…

I happened to be in the area trying to flag a taxi down - saw the hotel sign and went in to ask at the front desk for them to please call a taxi. The night clerk pushed some buttons on his keyboard without picking up the phone and said that a taxi would be there in 5 minutes. After 15 mins we asked for him to check on the status and he locked the door...

After another 15 minutes - I knocked on the door to ask again. He picked up the phone this time… TO CALL THE POLICE ON ME!!! After the police arrived and asked me what had happened, I explained I was asking him to call a taxi - he had to explain why he was wasting police time!!! The lobby was nice, so I’ll give 1 star.

Their response after I emailed them:

“He made you a favor calling the cab for you! You should have been more thankful instead of knocking and disturbing meanwhile he was busy doing his task.”

My experience from my 5 night stay in Palladium Hotel

It was my first time in Palma city and what I met exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the hotel staff was very pleasant and polite Mr. José Emmanuel guided me exactly and gave me literally any info I needed regarding to my questions...

Mr David and Maria was also pretty pleasant and helpful to me. Tidi informed us about how some things work in the city, he was responsible for the security at night time and he made us feel very safe and comfortable, as our return was always late at night, he was fully aware and vigilant at any time. The hotel was clean and contemporary. I got exactly what I've asked for and in a fair price. The room was big enaugh, with plenty space , the bed very conformable and the pillows as well. We enjoyed the view from our windows a lot. The breakfast consisted by a variety of products and we had many options. In general terms, only good memories and experiences left in my mind. I greatly suggest Palladium hotel, clean, elegant, with great staff, very near to the center almost 4 minutes by legs, surrounded by a variety of restaurants, bars, banks, supermarkets and many other useful places, the public parking is 4 meters away and so does the bus station. Totally worth going! 5/5

Bad for Solo Travelers - Cockblocked by my Hotel

Review by thewangist Chicago, Illinois

The property is nice enough - clean, modern, comfortable and well-located. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I liked that the rooms did not have phones and that services were available via WhatsApp.

However I had the most bizarre experience at this hotel. A couple nights into my stay, I returned to my hotel with a guest that I had met out on a Friday night...

When we arrived to the hotel, we were stopped by the night manager who told me that my guest was not allowed in since it was after hours.

When I protested the bizarre-ness of this policy, he told me it was because I was traveling alone, and was therefore not allowed to bring a guest in with me. After further protesting, the manager told me that perhaps he would let me bring my guest in if I paid the fee - which was to pay an additional €30 for every night that I was staying there which would have come out to €150 since I was staying 5 nights.

Obviously I further protested that it was bad enough they were essentially charging me a tax to use my room to hook up with someone. But charging me for every night of my stay was completely ridiculous. At this point I was so angry that we left and walked across town to my friend's hotel.

The next day, I confirmed the policy with a different front desk person to see that I did not misunderstand what the night manager was telling me. Again, I protested that the policy was ridiculous, puritanical, invasive and a violation of privacy.

Later in the day upon my return, the front desk manager (different from the previous night) approached me to try to offer regret about the policy. He explained that since my room was a Queen and since I had already paid for double occupancy, the night manager was not supposed to refuse entry for my friend. Obviously it was too little, too late, and in any case the policy was still ridiculous.

The only reason I did not give this hotel a 1 star review was because the day manager did seem to empathize with me and express regret about the situation. Nonetheless this was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel, and I have been a traveling consultant for 20 years and have stayed at hundreds of hotels.

So BEWARE! If you are a solo traveler who likes to have fun on vacation and are considering this hotel, check to see if they've changed that ridiculously stupid policy before booking.

Very good location

Review by borb_lyg2021 Budapest, Hungary

The hotel is in a very good location, everything is close to it (bars, restaurants, shops, etc.). From the airport, take the A1 bus to the hotel in 20 minutes, which stops in front of the hotel. The staff is nice, the breakfast is very good, the room is clean and quiet.

Very good location, delicious breakfasts

We were here for a week, I loved it. They were very kind helpful in everything. For good transport, the shuttle also puts you down there. I recommend to everyone...

The location of the hotel is 10 minutes from the city center and 20 minutes from the beaches.
